@polejunkie sorry the witch arrived, but yay for being able to start your ivf cycle this month!
I’m definitely with everyone else on the announcements! I’ve planned mine in my head to include how bloody long we’ve been ttc and the ivf side of things too so that I don’t come across as a fertile unicorn! I don’t think I’ve ever seen an announcement mentioning the struggles! It definitely needs to be spoken about more, especially as infertility is on the rise!

@Crazydoglady123 woohoo! Super embryo news! Yay! Sending you so much luck for Saturday morning!! ✨ Is your partner allowed in with you for the transfer?

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker good to hear from you! I’m also hopefully starting ivf on next cycle, which will be June 🤞🏻(if we ever get the go ahead from the fertility clinic!)

I ummmed and ahhhed about whether to post this but I want to be open and transparent either way if things work out or if they dont.

@notyetamumbuttrying I didn't ice but most days the injection didn't hurt but some days it'd randomly sting like a bitch 🤷🏽‍♀️

@crazydoglady123 I just feel overwhelmed and shocked tbh! It's been 2 years and then only 10 days ago to be told I have probably endo and just all feels scary!

With endometriosis you are more at risk for ectopic so that's at the back of my mind :S

I lost the thread so haven't been on for a while but this was the first post this morning. @Annny27 🥰🥳 congratulations!! Wonderful news!

After a very stressful week, my period arrived and I've started my ivf cycle, did my first injection last night 🙂

@crazycatlady1981 In terms of what we did different I actually started taking 10mg of vitamin b6 this month (as part of pregnacare) as opposed to the 1mg I was taking before. As it's supposed to help with progesterone! So who knows if it was that or a fluke!

We also only had sex twice (cd12 and cd14) and didnt do opks. Cant say I was "relaxed" as I am a stressed person hahaha!

@venusstarr best of luck for this month! Is this your first ivf cycle?

@juno231 No symptoms really I took a test to emotionally move on from this cycle. You know when you just want to accept the inevitable. We were so shocked when we saw the 2nd lines!

But I am quite hot now and my nipples are a bit darker. But nothing too noticable tbh! (There are other months when I had nausea, nosebleeds, vivid dreams and I was convinced haha)

@Crazydoglady123 Dh did it today and I iced it and it still stung like a bitch! Have a headache today so it's kicking in already! Can't believe I have 12 more days of this 😩

@Annny27 ha I had a nosebleed in Aug I think for the first time in my life and at 9DPO and that was the cycle I probably convinced myself the most that I MUST be pregnant

@notyetamumbuttrying I forgot to reply! I'm doing well. Going to the in-laws for the weekend (they've been vaccinated and live rurally so we're bending the rules a week or so early...) so I'm really looking forward to that right now. As always zero motivation to work though! How are your injections going?

@Annny27 wow congratulations xx we were not long discussing endo.. so it shows it can still happen. Correct me if I’m wrong but did you have hycosy?

@got2be no I was supposed to have it 2 weeks ago this cycle on cd12 but once she did the ultrasound scan before and saw the cyst she said theres no point doing it and to do it when I have the lap!

@Juno231 glad you're doing well hun! Ah sounds really nice! Do they know what's been going on or just that you had an op recently? Yep zero motivation too and Friday always seems to be my busiest day, flipping demanding clients 😆

That is interesting. I never get sore boobs so I'll certainly be looking out for that as a potential sign when my time comes!

@notyetamumbuttrying haha is he at least growing more sympathetic with what you're going through? Do you feel the effect of the hormones yet btw? And no, in-laws don't know anything but might notice the big bruise on my hand from the cannula lol... FIL has been asking for a baby for the last 4 years whenever it's just us two in a room so I'm hoping he won't do that this weekend!

@Juno231 oh yeah for sure, I think it kicked in the minute we had the drugs delivered and he saw all the kit. Only today, had a brief headache but it was only fleeting so didn't need painkillers or anything. Haha 😂 yes I think they will! You can say you had a lap due to bad periods rather than fertility, that's what I've told ppl who don't know the ttc part. Omg 🙈 that sounds so stressful! Do you think you'll crack if he does?

@notyetamumbuttrying ah thing is i'd love to tell them we're struggling if they ask but I think OH is dead against it. I might crack if his dad corners me again though. He's got a medical degree so I think he'd be very understanding despite his super fertility lol. and yeah I bet that kit is super daunting! I hope he takes extra good care of you atm xx

@Juno231 ahh why's he so against it? Tbf we only told dhs parents because of starting ivf and did it out of a courtesy. Eek!! Will your Dh go mad if you do crack? I bet he'll be surprised at how understanding they'll be. I guess it's just embarrassing isn't it. Is Dh from a big family then?
Yeah he's being good, he usually is tbh. Just gets stressed with work so is constantly moaning to be and I don't want to hear it. I have my own work stresses to deal with 😝 The headache wasn't fleeting by the way, it's lingered the bastard 😑xx
