@notyetamumbuttrying the problem is with pcos i have signs of imminent ovulation more than once a cycle lasting up to 5 days at a time so a possible 10-14 day window.....opks don't work very well due to my elevated levels of lh and aren't recommended, so gave up.

@Annny27 yeah I just kept calling the secretary and the nurses! 😂

@polejunkie yay to AF and starting ivf now! The only time you've been happy to see it I bet! What a frustrating phone call, I do get mad with the nhs staff sometimes 😂
On the future baby news front, I've toyed with this for a while as I wasn't sure I wanted joe bloggs from school or some random ex work colleague knowing all my business but I do think it's good to share! I might do separate insta and fb posts as I have fewer and closer ppl on my insta.
@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker aw thank you 😊 great that ivf is booked now. I probably won't transfer until June as on long protocol. Do you know what you'll be on?

@kerrym87 aha I see! Forgot you had pcos. How frustrating then, no wonder you want a break! Do you reckon you will? Could you just do it when you fancy rather than to schedule? You might still catch then and have less of the stress wondering when and if you ovulated.

@polejunkie I think I will, I will certainly be telling friends and family if they ask. I haven't seen any announcements, ever, to suggest people have struggled to conceive, definitely isn't spoken about is it?

I had my scan with NHS today for the pain I keep getting, they said the same as fertility clinic, I have a cyst on my left ovary. The lady mentioned it looked like a endometriotic cyst but couldn't be sure so will have to wait and see what they say. Be interested to see if thw fertility clinic come to the same conclusion.

@RobinRose I'm glad you got scanned! If it's an endo cyst they can never be sure on a scan, it needs a laparoscopy for diagnosis and treatment. I hope you get one! ♥️

@notyetamumbuttrying thank you! they said they may refer me to gyne (I've already been referred) so fingers crossed. I did ask if this cyst could hinder fertility and they said it is hard to tell... I have had cysts before but they disappear 🤷🏼‍♀️ I am hoping we mange to miraculously conceive without any investigations but we shall see!

@polejunkie I'll definitely be telling the full TTC journey warts and all when it's our time. I totally agree it's not spoken about enough and even now I'm 100% honest about our woes when I get asked the dreaded question about when are we going to have children.

I've been told that my Laparoscopy referral will be 2-3months wait, I know I'm very lucky!

@polejunkie I have told quite a lot of people about our struggle, I see no reason why I should keep it quiet and I think its super important to draw more attention to it. I have had so many people tell me their own stories of how hard it was for them, it's much more common than people think because noone ever talks about it.

@RobinRose, sorry to hear about the cyst but hopefully they will get it seen to!

I feel the definite rumblings of AF so hopefully she will turn up Saturday and then we can start our second ivf cycle. All being well we would transfer at end of May and ideally I'll be 9 weeks pregnant at my wedding!

@polejunkie I'll def do an IVF/infertility announcement if I ever get to do a baby one. I've seen a couple on FB and they made me feel a lot better about it.

I think it’s great you all want to share, I agree, don’t know why it’s so taboo 🤷🏼‍♀️ would of helped me knowing not all my mates got pregnant first go! It appears that you have to share your own struggles before others start to share theirs...

@RobinRose you'll need the referral to be one with a gynae with a specialist interest in endo so that they know what they're looking for when they operate.
@Motherofkittens28 ooh we'd be so close in timings! I'm hoping for a transfer first week of June if not earlier.

@polejunkie so true! Only when I told people about my miscarriage did I find out that a few friends had had a miscarriage too!

I dont think everyone needs to know but close friends should share I think!

@polejunkie boo to af woohoo to the ivf cycle. I think I will if I ever get my bfp and successful pregnancy it should totally be spoken about more! Those staff would drive me crazy!

@notyetamumbuttrying that's a tough one as my Lp changes can be anywhere from 9-17dpo but average is 13dpo so Saturday ish lol

@Annny27 I'd love to think so but reading up the drop off comes between day 3 & day 5/6. Only 30-50% usually make it so if I still have a lot come Saturday I'll take the compliment 😂
