Quick update ladies - the lap was an ordeal lol! I ended up staying the night as I couldn't wee to pass the discharge test. Drank well over 6 litres of water yday but none of it made its way to my bladder, I just kept cascade vomiting it up 😅.

The consultant told me they found nothing and that they'd managed to damage my cervix a bit. She left and I cried a bit cause I was disappointed they found nothing. Ten minutes later I hear my name in the corridor repeatedly and then she comes back in to say I need to forget everything she said as she had me mixed up with another patient... So no damage to my cervix but I did have mild endometriosis on my left ovary which they removed. Doesn't explain why I haven't conceived in the last 17 cycles though!

She also said at our next appointment she'll get the ball rolling for the ivf application due to my age - in hindsight I think she was still thinking of the other patient!

Anyway, got discharged this morning and although I'm disabled and in pain I feel so much better than yesterday. That nausea and dizziness was disgusting and I was so exhausted I kept falling asleep at the drop of a hat!

@Crazydoglady123 those numbers are amazing!!!

Whoever mentioned progesterone, 40s is absolutely fine!

Re : weight - I'm 2kg down from Xmas but still two stone heavier than I'd like to be lol! I fall off the wagon the second I step on it though 🤷‍♀️

@Crazydoglady123 ah ok. Do you just have something smaller planned instead then? Good you have EC date now! No wonder you're getting scared, all good tho hun, one step closer 🤞🏾hope nausea is easier now? So glad your ovary has moved over now and you have lots of follicles, yay 😀

I went into the office today and ate pizza and drank a beer 🤦🏾‍♀️ left before the others spotted I wasn't having another one!
@Motherofkittens28 that's a worry but perhaps not if the norm. When's your scan again?
@Juno231 an ordeal indeed! You poor thing! Was it endo on your ovary or adhesions? Only ask as mine were adhesions. When's your next appointment? I'm glad you're already feeling better hun xx

@Crazydoglady123 yes definitely! This will be our first sa, when he finally gets it booked! But he did have one many years ago when ttc his children with his ex.
I bet reading your file will be really interesting too!
@Motherofkittens28 the symptoms may just be less now the endo has gone, have you been using opk? If you're worried maybe contact the clinic and see what they say?
@got2be that's really interesting reading on the endo test, would be great if that's actually available!

@notyetamumbuttrying the nausea seems worse when I'm hungry but I don't really fancy anything. Just had a toasted bagel and feel a bit better for it. My high protein diet has gone out the window today 😭 We've got some friends coming over the weekend after for a takeaway for his birthday. I tried to book a meal out but he's really fussy and the only couple of places we wanted to book didn't have any spaces.

@Crazydoglady123 no idea I've not managed to get through to the clinic yet! I spoke to the lady one day and she had to speak to him but I was out on the school run and every time I've called back since it's just goes onto an answer message saying they're busy 😑

@Crazydoglady123 one days ok. I had pizza and a beer yesterday lol as I went into the office for a team training day so couldn't really avoid it! Should've been more prepared and brought in my own lunch and eaten in another room! Today's a new day though as they say 😃

@got2be I had a lap recently too and totally different experience so don't let it put you off too much. I also couldn't pass wee but did when I got home. The consultant told me the right things (I think/hope lol) albeit I was still in and out of consciousness, but this seems standard to talk to you when you just come round! I'm two weeks post op now and healing fine, even had sex now and hoping for the post lap magic!

@got2be you can maybe get diagnosed by the blood test but the only way they cna improve fertility is by removing it via the lap :) it scares me too not gonna lie haha!

It's been quiet on here this morning - not much to report when we're all waiting around, huh! Never wanted my AF to arrive so badly haha, c'mon, want to book in for my cycle nooooow

@polejunkie no its dull when nothing is happening! I'm half way through my tww so nothing to report! And anything that is happening will be drug related.

@paintfairy how are you feeling, is it dragging for you?? x

@polejunkie I usually find the first week of my 2ww is never too bad but the second week goes on forever?! I'm 8dpo (I think) today. I'm not hopeful it worked to be honest. My nipples were killing from ovulation and then it went to my boobs too after a couple of days but I know that's the progesterone. My stomach has been off from the very beginning, which feels like ages now. But otherwise nothing really significant. My rhr has actually dropped one today so I'm not sure that's a good sign? Who knows. I've told myself I'm not expecting it to work anyway but I think no matter what, you'll still be disappointed to find it hasn't. Plus, the thought of starting again is not appealing!

@paintfairy fingers crossed for you, you're not out yet! Oddly I don't feel like I'm in the tww this month, because IVF is coming I'm willing my period to come haha, very strange! Not gunna lie a positive ahead of IVF would be amazing, any positive test would be amazing in this group!

What are your next steps?

@got2be thanks! Tww starts tomorrow and for the first time in months and months I've bought FRER and will early test! 😱 only because if I am pregnant I want to stop the ivf injections ASAP so the earlier I know the better. Start injections next week!
@paintfairy really hope it has worked lovely, do you think you'll early test?

@polejunkie are you waiting for AF then and won't test before it? Getting a bfp before ivf starts is the dream right! That's my hope too!

@polejunkie sometimes that's when it happens! So it would be good if it did. We've got to have 2 more rounds of iui before being eligible for ivf on the nhs. But I think by then I'll have had enough! You can't do/plan anything! So many hospital trips. Had to go again yesterday for a blood test. But after 3 rounds of iui I don't think I'm going to be feeling enthusiastic for ivf drugs.....

@notyetamumbuttrying I gave up early testing after the first yr of disappointment lol, I'm quite good at waiting now, so I'll wait it out... due in a week!

@paintfairy what are the success rates of IUI, I don't know much about it, not sure why you get offered it or indeed not... we never considered it but it wasn't ever mentioned either. Is it a postcode / criteria thing? I get what you're saying, it's a long time when you think of the meds and appts!!

@polejunkie about 13% 🤣🤣🤣 I have no idea. Probably depends on you/area. Seems to be standard around here.
@notyetamumbuttrying being the trigger appears to be gone then I can. I'm not supposed to until Wednesday, but I might try Monday.

@polejunkie still not great. Really don't fancy much food wise at all atm. The things I need to eat (healthy protein), I just can't stomach even the thought of eating them! Really frustrating 😬

@Crazydoglady123 sounds like when I was pregnant, nausea really plays havoc when you're trying to be healthy!!

@polejunkie I didn't have any sickness when I was pregnant with my son. I feel for everyone who does now

@Crazydoglady123 I was soooo sick throughout, almost hospitalized - I even vomited right through labor, then it just stopped!! I do wonder if I'll be that sick again if I end up pregnant but you know what it's like, I really don't care, I'd just like to be pregnant.
