@Juno231 it was pencilled in for 3rd May but I'm not sure if it'll change at all yet

Motherofkittens28 · 26/04/2021 13:15

@Crazydoglady123 those are wonderful numbers, are you pleased? Doesn't sound like you are over stimulating either, which is also fab!

Crazydoglady123 · 26/04/2021 13:16

@Motherofkittens28 no they seemed really happy so I'm pleased. I'd be more happy if my left ovary would move back to where it lives though... any tips?

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/04/2021 13:22

@Juno231 similar to what the private consultant said to us when we considered that route. I'm not delaying ivf so no worries there.
@polejunkie when I saw the private consultant she wanted to redo my amh, it never got that far though as then a week or so later funding was approved so we shelved private. I haven't started anything yet. Drugs company are due to call tomorrow and they'll send me buserlin to start early May. Then I switch over to menopur if all is a go. Think I'll numb it with ice, even tho I've got fat there, I'm sure it'll still hurt so numbing sounds sensible to me. Haha please don't, trust me, you don't want to be shifting weight and doing ivf 😆
@Annny27 ooh well done 👏🏾 that's the day I'm due to start injections 😬
Thanks 😊 I know, they're such a common symptom but there's just no way in hell that I am so I'm watching my symptoms. Could be Covid as I've been to the pub and the shops now!
@Motherofkittens28 would be so wonderful wouldn't it!! I'm expecting the same re my timeline as I'm on long protocol.
@RobinRose thanks 😜 it really was! Glad you've got a scan booked in. Have you got a referral to gynae yet? Also join the endo fb if you can, wealth of info on there about how to be taken seriously!
@Crazydoglady123 great outcome! Let's hope your ovary moves. When's the next scan then?

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm really tired of fertile unicorns, there's just. so. many. of them.

thislittlebird · 26/04/2021 13:28

I know endo is all the rage round here right now but does anyone have MFI? I've got in touch with the famous Mr Ramsay, the sperm wizard. Been given costs for initial appointment and tests and hoping to see him at the end of May. Really hoping this might save us some money on IVF long term.

Crazydoglady123 · 26/04/2021 13:32

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks lovely. Weds is next one

thislittlebird · 26/04/2021 13:35

Good follicle news @Crazydoglady123!

Motherofkittens28 · 26/04/2021 13:41

@Crazydoglady123 no tips I'm afraid, I didn't have wandering ovaries, although they did keep going on about my uterus standing on its head!

Juno231 · 26/04/2021 13:43

@thislittlebird oh great initiative! I hope he can be of help.

@RobinRose can't believe an emergency scan still takes weeks to get...

thislittlebird · 26/04/2021 13:47

@Juno231 Is it your lap tomorrow?

Honestly don’t know if I’m allowed to go with the husband to see him but I’m gonna try 👀. The secretary was really nice, so I’ve sent her his test results as requested and she’s going to send me some dates. Was very apologetic about it being as late as the end of May. I was not bothered lol. I’ve been waiting here for any doctor to see me for months now, I will kindly take the end of May.

Oh and PALS have passed my questions cough complaints cough on to the the gynaecology department. Let’s see if anyone even replies Hmm

polejunkie · 26/04/2021 14:16

@Crazydoglady123 woooop! Sounds great!! I do hope your ovary returns from it's travels soon, not long for you to wait now, when will you know more? I hope you're pleased with those numbers Grin

@notyetamumbuttrying yes, numbing sounds great to me too, why would you not haha - I will be starting end of May so I'm excited to hear about your experience!

@RobinRose how is an emergency scan acceptable weeks after the initial onset of pain - that blows my mind...!

Juno231 · 26/04/2021 14:40

@thislittlebird yes it is. Can't blame you for wanting to be there for the appointment - I know my OH would be useless in one, forgetting to ask questions, forgetting to say the right info etc. If you're lucky maybe there will be a cancellation so you can go earlier than end of May?

What was the complaint for again?

RobinRose · 26/04/2021 14:45

@Juno231 @polejunkie I know! I'm just going by previous experience though, which was being seen within 2 weeks of being referred. Who knows, I might get seen sooner!

@notyetamumbuttrying I have, go sent that off last week but it is a long wait to be seen.

@Crazydoglady123 great news about your follicles! I have no idea your ovaries could move 😳?!

@thislittlebird bavent been told we have mfi but my dp has slightly low sperm count (25million) he had a reversal so that's probably why... having another sample done next week so hopefully it improves. Does your dp have low swimmers?

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/04/2021 14:52

@thislittlebird we are surrounded by them unfortunately! Don't think there's any getting away from them!
Great you're seeing mr Ramsey! Ignore my other suggestion on the guys thread then as he's the top dog as you say. My Dh had low everything and now everything's normal. He did the following:
Stopped smoking
Limited booze (stopped for about 6 weeks at one point)
Ate oranges daily
Took proxeed plus twice a day
Ate more fruit and veg on the whole
Exercised-prob twice a week run
Still ate chocolate but not everyday.
@Crazydoglady123 ah yes, remember you saying it was every other day.
@polejunkie looks like we'll be going through it together then 🙂
@RobinRose I see. Good job we're used to this waiting game right!

OP posts:
polejunkie · 26/04/2021 14:53

@RobinRose my partner is lower than that @ 10-11 million Confused that coupled with low motility / mobility and my lacking egg reserves was why we were referred as it is technically classed a fertility issue (between us, both of us, one of us in particular... I'm not actually sure!) although we were told that a natural pregnancy wasn't impossible...!

polejunkie · 26/04/2021 14:56

On the back of your booze comment @notyetamumbuttrying what are all of you doing about alcohol whilst you're 'in-waiting' not TWW obviously lol, but between appts, nothing happening and ahead of actual IVF etc. - Like do you simply not drink at all? I'm kind of a weekend drinker, but haven't told people about IVF and really really dread someone assuming I'm not drinking because I'm actually pregnant, bleugh that really would be shit...! Awkward much Sad

polejunkie · 26/04/2021 15:00

@thislittlebird sorry meant to tag you in my earlier comment about MFI...

Juno231 · 26/04/2021 15:20

@polejunkie no one seems to bat an eye when I say I'm just trying to cut back after a year of lockdown indulgence - they're all guilty of it too! The more you do it now the fewer raised eyebrows you'll have when you're actually preggers but trying to hide it lol.

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/04/2021 15:40

@polejunkie I'm a weekend drinker too but now using losing weight as the reason to give to others, not that I see anyone yet. Annoyingly I have all my socials events for May, the month we're doing ivf 🤦🏾‍♀️ so I've got to think up reasons for each event. So far I've got diet/loosing weight then next I'm gonna use antibiotics and then after that, I'm not sure 😂

OP posts:
Motherofkittens28 · 26/04/2021 16:31

@polejunkie I haven't really drunk since we started trying in August 2019! I've just been trying to give it my best shot, yeah, see that's worked out for me! I'm also trying to lose weight though, less than 12 weeks to the wedding now! I am a bit worried as I'm exercising and dieting and perhaps that's not the best for ivf, at least my PT has me on a high protein diet!

Juno231 · 26/04/2021 16:33

@notyetamumbuttrying @polejunkie tbh lots of my friends would hold a drink and then never finish it - if there's enough of you the others won't notice it's the same glass? It's a shame it's all table service now cause otherwise I'd just be ordering 0% alcohol beer and asking them to pour it into a glass for me at the bar so no one would know.

Juno231 · 26/04/2021 16:37

Friends that were pregnant at the time but I never realised I mean! Not just random people not finishing their drinks lol.

Annny27 · 26/04/2021 16:38

@motherofkittens28 same I have had occasional drinks throughout the year probably like 5 in total since June 2019

And as you can see it's done wonders for my fertility.....😂😂😂

thislittlebird · 26/04/2021 16:51

Fingers crossed it all goes well!

Yeah, I want to hear what he has to say too tbh. And ask questions. It seems odd to only have one person there or the two, even if it is about him. Even if he asks all the questions I’m not confident he’ll relay them well, he’s more good at telling me things that have happened in detail.

Complaint was about the six months of delay because the GP told us we were “fine”. I can’t believe we’re still only now seeing the gynaecologist in May, no offer of a urology appointment, no apology for the messed up results, no clarity on what’s going to happen next etc. I’m fed up and just want to go private at this stage.
