@RobinRose glad I’m not alone! Mine doesn’t have low count but he has very low motility. So it kind of works out similarly.

@notyetamumbuttrying oh I just saw this so I replied to you over there first! Yeah Mr Ramsay is known for this stuff so I decided it was a good shout. My husband does all of that or didn’t do anyway (no smoking, very little drinking) but the one thing he can do is some exercise. I wish he would, let’s see if he starts this week after he finishes work.

@polejunkie who were you referred to? We have two issues, low motility and low progesterone for me and we’re seeing the gynaecologist.

Also this is not a specific answer to your question polejunkie but in that general area we have recently been getting into low alcohol beer and wine. We don’t drink a lot anyway but it’s nice to know there’s not so many calories in it when we do have some.

polejunkie · 26/04/2021 17:00

Thanks all - I’m going over a friends on bank hol and she is a boozer 😂 not sure how to play it because it’s a birthday celebration for her (coming) and mine (just gone)... initially I didn’t drink when ttc but after a few fails I thought I’d reward myself with a cold pint when AF arrived... I mean not drinking didn’t exactly have a positive impact here I am 👋 not pregnant 🤣

@thislittlebird referred for IVF... I know there are a lot of factors (including what the criteria are where you live) but we didn’t wait too long for IVF funding to be approved compared to the wait / journey some face x

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/04/2021 17:11

@notyetamumbuttrying yes it was and it makes total sense as to why gps don't test for it only fertility clinics!

@Juno231 oh yes that definitely makes sense if you're looking at ivf although I've also seen people say a low amh means possibly responding less to ivf stims

Thanks @Annny27 I do hope so, the more I read the more convinced I am!

@RobinRose I've been told you can only request to be referred to a bsge centre if you have confirmed severe endometriosis. I can't believe they're making you wait that long for an emergency scan!

@Crazydoglady123 that's great numbers! Hopefully your ovary will pop back to where it belongs!

@thislittlebird we may have mfi too 🤦🏼‍♀️ waiting for oh sa at the moment to find out but he has in the past and my oh would absolutely want me at his appointment too

Well dr google didn't give me too many answers for my blood results but I have found that a few of my levels are either not fine even though the docs says they are or are right on the edge and the ones that I've researched so far point toward a thyroid issue pcos and an inflammatory disease! So that's thyroid pcos and I assume endo as that's inflammatory! 🤦🏼‍♀️ but they're all on or just above the maximums or just below the minimums so I assume they're not fussed because they're not too far out! Which is majorly annoying as I'm not in enough of any brackets for them to be bothered about doing anything - typical

polejunkie · 26/04/2021 17:24

@Marvellouslymadmum my thyroid was deemed too off when it came to ivf, so am on meds for that (level was 5.5 and now on meds it’s 1.6) so if going for ivf they may take your thyroid seriously- dunno if my stats help there at all?! In real life my thyroid wouldn’t be flagged as an issue by a doc...

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/04/2021 17:28

@Motherofkittens28 can I ask what a standard day looks like for you in terms of food? So breakfast lunch dinner and drinks/snacks. I've just received my food haul of protein and veg 💪🏾 I'll attach a pic if I can.
@Juno231 I'm away at a lodge with just 6 of us so they'll notice I reckon. I'll just have to be the maker of drinks and just pour tonic water sans gin! Lol at the clarification, I knew what you meant 😉
@Annny27 love your sense of humour 😁 and tbh good to hear as I love a drink 🥂
@thislittlebird hope he does! They say it helps the motility.
@Marvellouslymadmum how frustrating! I wonder if they'll repeat any for you? Esp if they were done over 3 months ago.

What were your results @Marvellouslymadmum?

Aimzie · 26/04/2021 17:48

Hope your all doing good girls ❤️ I haven't got a chance to catch up yet, I've been up home for the first time in 6 months after my appointment on Thursday. Can't wait to finally get some answers 😊

thislittlebird · 26/04/2021 17:49

@Marvellouslymadmum when are you getting his results? And yeah, I’m gonna ask to go with him when it’s booked in.

thislittlebird · 26/04/2021 17:53

@polejunkie it just feels so long for us. I’m so sick of sitting around waiting for them when they’ve cocked it up by giving us the wrong results. We are ridiculously far behind people who started the process at the same time as us and we are not getting any younger. It’s frustrating.

@notyetamumbuttrying my plastic free green grocer haul is coming tomorrow! Also got a milkman bringing me organic milk in bottles. And then I must re-start the exercise that I stopped for two weeks.

Husband works shifts so he’s very stop start with exercise if he does do it. Nothing will happen while he’s working because he does long days. But a couple of times on his off days would be nice.

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/04/2021 18:01

@polejunkie my tsh is 2.5 so right on the max for ttc then my shbg levels are too high which can indicate hyperthyroidism or pituitary glad issues so yes they've seen it as ok but I'm nit sure it's good for fertility

@notyetamumbuttrying they may do I've no idea!

@thislittlebird it's all very confusing but shbg levels are too high, free androgen index too low oestrogen too high, vit b too high, iron still low, erythrocytes too high which indicates an inflammatory problem 🤷🏼‍♀️

kerrym87 · 26/04/2021 18:28

@thislittlebird we've got male factor as well as my pcos....

thislittlebird · 26/04/2021 18:48

@kerrym87 it’s very frustrating when both halves of the process have issues, feels like double the problems/less hope. I’ve got higher AMH but not PCOS, and very low progesterone.

@Marvellouslymadmum I’m going to have to google a couple of those things. They’ve run a decent number of tests though.

Juno231 · 26/04/2021 20:29

@Marvellouslymadmum your tsh is well within the NHS limits no? Mine is 3.2 and both gp and fertility consultant says that's fine even though everything I read says 2.5 for ttc. From what I gather though nhs only treats it if it's a lot higher :(

Motherofkittens28 · 26/04/2021 20:37

@notyetamumbuttrying, sure, bear in mind that I'm a vegetarian.

Breakfast- homemade chia pudding 25g chia seeds, 125ml semi skimmed milk, 5g maple syrup
Lunch- 40g ham style slices, 4 quorn cocktail sausages, arla protein yogurt
Dinner- Veggie steak, cauliflower rice, 82g lentil dhal, 5g nutritional yeast
Pudding- 10 cal jelly, 150g Greek yogurt.
Drink- 2lts water, 3 cups of tea with semi skimmed milk

God that sounds so boring! Give me a pizza!!!

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/04/2021 23:01

@thislittlebird they've literally done everything I think!

@Juno231 yes that's right, for nhs it's within the limit for the tsh but the shbg levels being high indicates hyperthyroidism. It all could mean absolutely nothing at all but who knows!

Ooh amd they even tested my protein levels and they're right up the top end of the limits which I took as a good thing!

kerrym87 · 27/04/2021 06:16

@Aimzie fingers crossed for answers, were just waiting the time out till next appt for a plan, spotting today AF tomorrow so I'm out, no post lap and tube clear out miracle for me! @Motherofkittens28 do your meals work quite well for you as in you're not hungry as you seem to have low carb , unless that was the goal! I've got to have some low GI carbs each meal with my protein and some fats, love chia seeds in my overnight oats though!

thislittlebird · 27/04/2021 06:23

@Marvellouslymadmum mine did the bare minimum. It makes me very frustrated!

Motherofkittens28 · 27/04/2021 07:51

@kerrym87 yes, I'm not often hungry. The low carb is intentional, I used to do keto and have always found it worked well for me but my trainer wanted me to cut fat and you can't do keto without lots of fat. I'm actually struggling to get enough calories, it's supposed be 1200 but I'm generally around 1000 because I can't eat anymore (of course if it was cake I totally could!). I'm overweight, my bmi is about 29 at the moment I think I've killed my metabolism with years of yoyo dieting!

Motherofkittens28 · 27/04/2021 07:52

@clolo same here! I'm expecting egg collection on the 24th unless I have to stim for longer like last time.

polejunkie · 27/04/2021 08:03

@clolo exciting!! Keep us all up to date x

@Aimzie aw glad you got to see family! Good luck for Thursday 🤞🏾
@thislittlebird ooh sounds like a good haul is en route then! I should start exercising tomorrow if I can manage it. Stomach still pulls a bit when I get up so might just do a low impact workout vid.
@Juno231 good luck for today lovely ☺️
@Motherofkittens28 good going! Forgot about jelly, will pick up some low sugar stuff from the coop! And needs must for the greater good! I'm due in the office tomorrow and they're talking about getting pizzas 🤦🏾‍♀️ I might not go 😂 already sewn the seed and said I had a sore throat. Imagine messing your diet up on day 3 😆 I will as well as I love pizza!! My bmis 28.7 now, was 29.2 so slowly coming down. I couldn't eat so few calories though, part of my slow weight loss but I just get so lethargic otherwise. I think my EC will be 24th as well!
@clolo so pleased things are progressing well for you now! And similar timings too ♥️

@Marvellouslymadmum oh really? I will bare that in mind! I know, it is frustratin. I guess because they ruled out appendicitis, there isn't anything else that they would be really worried out.I belive any urgent referal has a two week wait, hoping I will get a letter this week with an appointment for next week!

Marvellouslymadmum · 27/04/2021 08:56

@thislittlebird I was really surprised how much they'd actually done when I checked! Can you wake them for anything else?

I'm vegetarian and really struggling to lose weight! I've never really been on a diet, more I just cut down on the bad stuff and eat healthier and that's always worked. I don't eat friend food anyway, don't snack etc I've tried to up my calorie intake by eating a decent sized breakfast - homemade granola with nuts and seeds in, as I wasn't getting enough calories before but have only manage 1kg off in 3 months! 😫
