Ok so we need to get back to us ladies, back to fun games, POAS & getting fit, but you need to help me Cos Minster is flagging with a fuck boy body worse than the rest 🥺

Guess what...it’s nearly Easter & know what that means! 🐰🐣...We don’t want the 🐰to have the fun but bloody hell sometimes it’s a f*cling egg hunt all right 🙈🤣.

March and April we’ve got a lot of exciting times ahead with people going for Clomid & IVF as well as a lot of straight up sex for the “normal” TTC gang so let’s get shagging & FIND THOSE 🐣🌈.

We are still working on our spring challenges alongside trying to get pregnant and we’ve had great results so far- feel free to have a catch up on those and add your own.

And we are still helping each other get fitter, more positive through sharing small changes we are making in our lives and trying to inspire & support each other with these too...as well as of course being there for each other during the sad times.

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

@Franklydear BOOM YA!!! Get in there!! Well done!! Smashing the school!

@2020mission I'm sorry you feel so down, but investigating is good, keep pushing it, and it can just run alongside your trying anyway, or take a month off, but I def think it's worth investigating, because of you are getting down about it then you do care. Big big big hugs. There's a post on my blog which explains the AMH, it's called I see rainbows ahead, it's only my take on it but it explains it. On the SA front, my fella has done it fine BUT you've heard me talk about him having a massive breakdown about the whole surrogacy thing/IVF in the car park and say "I don't want a baby LIKE THIS". I think the men take longer to get their heads round sometimes it just doesn't work "easily" and it could be them too. I think you do need to tell him if he wants a baby he has to be part of it, ALL of it, getting answers too.

@InkyPaper some ppl don't realise things can go wrong 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Catherinettc you are totally right 🙌🏻

@blackcurrantqueen and vodka??!! 🤔not long left!

So DH got told we don't get the results for his SA until we have our next consultation - that's likely to be a month! Urgh if they think I'm not calling before then they don't know me!

OP posts:
2020mission · 25/03/2021 12:48

@InkyPaper @MartyMcShy thanks both 💕

I will push him tomorrow to book his SA. I can understand it's probably embarrassing for him and a bit of pressure to do it within the hour of the appointment booking but it's true us ladies have to endure more... I had the smear and bloods last Friday and it's not exactly fun lying with legs open for the doctor to poke at the cervix.

It's almost been a week since the doctor took my bloods so I'll call tomorrow and might find out more. @InkyPaper have you to wait a week to find our your blood results?

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/03/2021 12:48

@Juno231 great results for both of you!! Do you suspect endo and that's why she agreed to the lap?
@Minster2012 haha bless him! I'm sure the results will be all good still.
@Franklydear excellent news hun, yay 😃

Juno231 · 25/03/2021 12:57

Thanks peeps - although I never really thought unexplained is good as it most likely just means something IS wrong they just can't or won't test for it.

@notyetamumbuttrying looking into it I'm seeing stats that as high as 30% of unexplained infertility cases could be to silent endo? I have no endo symptoms but that's what she wanted to make sure I didn't have - alongside scarring from previous infections.

@2020mission don't worry - knowing all the acronyms is a club no one is happy to be in! AMH is anti mullerian hormone and it's used to see how your ovarian reserve is doing. She had me tested as mum went into menopause early and if my numbers were low she'd have pushed straight for IVF in the fear that I might be running out of time. Yeah chat to OH about it, his side of things are easy and minimally intrusive compared to all the stuff they'll be putting you through so he'd better pull his weight :)

@Franklydear brilliant news! When would you go have a look?

@Minster2012 haha a month sounds like a good timeline to me but I'd definitely expect more if I was paying for it!!

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/03/2021 13:27

@Juno231 you've got a great dr still offering a lap with no symptoms, that's really good! The scarring makes sense too as it could be adhesions from any previous surgeries or infections. Did you get a timeline? I was told two weeks after my pre assessment so that's another week to go and still no confirmation date yet! 😣

Juno231 · 25/03/2021 13:32

@notyetamumbuttrying yes I was surprised tbh! Never expected her to offer that so I'm quite pleased it's an option for me :) timeline wise she said it could be a few months as it's an elective procedure - she did say though it often has cancellations as you can't DTD the cycle you have it done in so people end up being given a slot only to have to say no as they've already BD that cycle. The ONE time it might work to my advantage that OH wants zero BD before FW lol Grin

Babyghirl · 25/03/2021 13:47

@minster2012
My oh had his sa done last Feb and with all the lock down had to wait till Sept to get results along with me getting my blood results, but I did phone my doc who give me my results over the phone because she knw how much I was stressed waiting for them but obviously could not give me dp results but told me to tell him to phone his docs to get his results so maybe you could go down that root to c if his results r in yet. 💚

InkyPaper · 25/03/2021 13:47

@2020mission I wasn't told when to expect mine back tbh. I'll probably call next week if I haven't heard anything, especially as they still need to book me in for the second blood test

Juno231 · 25/03/2021 13:57

Btw ladies I still have one free hellofresh box if anyone's keen after seeing Minster and Dollybird enjoy theirs :)

Minster2012 · 25/03/2021 14:02

@Babyghirl def, though this is private, it's our 5th ivf in total (one was half nhs /half private to my friend fir surrogacy to carry my DS) 😔, they weren't so lax on taking the £130 off him this morning! So they know me better than that

@notyetamumbuttrying how long was your SA results even on NHS?

Ladies new bus titles please??

Something involving small dick sandwiches?? Might get a complaint again! Or funky spunky sandwiches!

OP posts:
Minster2012 · 25/03/2021 14:28

@Babyghirl I don't know if the private paying a difference though as it's in an nhs hospital and you can do private and nhs so I wonder if the tests are the same, having seems both sides of it you don't get treated any differently so I guess they just do it the same but certainly we aren't set to the the same schedules as the nhs but we can go quicker IYSWIM but I guess the testing is the same they either do it in-house or send off (AMH they said would take 2 weeks no matter what as that was sent off)

OP posts:
Haiyaa · 25/03/2021 14:37

@Franklydear look at you super mama! Success with veggies and the school! Hopefully you can relax a bit now.

@Juno231 I’m not quite sure what to say about the “unexplained infertility” on the one hand it must be a relief there isn’t an underlying issue (hopefully) but on the other, how bloody frustrating! Sounds like you have a good team though and they are trying their best to rule everything out.

@InkyPaper what an absolutely shit time for you, and then to blame it on shock! No. That was pure selfishness in my opinion and they let their own excitement get in the way of how the news would make you feel.

Sorry you are feeling down @2020mission, maybe a break from ttc would be good but I agree with the others just keep going with the investigations as they can take time so might as well have them ticking over in the background.

@Ltay2, good work on the pumping! My DD dropped a lot of weight and we had to give formula for a couple of weeks whilst I pumped. She has a severe tongue tie, have you had that checked? Managed to get her back on the breast after speaking to a private breastfeeding consultant (about £50 for a home visit but worth every penny) and ebf for nearly a year until I went back to work. Bloody hard work especially as we had to wake her for feeds to make sure she gained weight but as they say “fed is best” so do whatever is best to protect both of your well-being. Lastly babies are a lot more efficient than pumps so even if you are only pumping 20ml at the moment, if he can manage a good latch he would probably squeeze more than that out of you, plus his tummy must be so tiny!

Maybe to dodge the Mumsnet vigilantes @franklydear could supply us with the Spanish phrase for tiny dick sandwich?! 😂

Ltay2 · 25/03/2021 14:47

@blackcurrantqueen Thank you I will have a look into all of that!

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/03/2021 14:50

@Juno231 do you have to call for cancellations or will they put you on the list? I'll go for a hello fresh box hun, wanna DM me?
@Minster2012 think just over a week, so like 8 or 9 days.
Maybe funky spunky with a * in place of the u in spunky to hopefully not attract too many complaints!!

Ltay2 · 25/03/2021 14:50

@Haiyaa I'm definitely going to check for tongue tie when I see the health visitor, I would love to breastfeed as it always was my plan and more convenient than having to sterilise and make bottles up but if it isn't meant to be for us then that's fine. Considering he shouldn't even have been born for another 2 weeks yet I think we're doing well.

Haiyaa · 25/03/2021 15:02

@Ltay2 absolutely! And bottles/pumping are not an easy option so I hate when people assume that women do it for convenience. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, you are doing an amazing job!

blackcurrantqueen · 25/03/2021 15:08

@Haiyaa hahahahaha I'm with you on a Spanish title from @Franklydear !!!

Sooo verdict is in from my appt... she was lovely!
All the bloods and everything I’ve had done so far were all normal there is no obvious reason why the babies don’t want to stick. So she said I can have some progesterone suppositories to try, and have my HCG bloods done if I want them! And also will book me to have a hysteroscopy - camera inside the womb just to check it’s all ok. So positive I think!

Babyghirl · 25/03/2021 15:13

@minster2012
Your have an amazing friend, my brothers partner has always said she would carry one for me I will go down that root if I need to anything to get my baby if I can't carry one myself, but hoping I can get some sort of answers nxt week or a step in the right direction with my app 💚

Juno231 · 25/03/2021 15:13

@Haiyaa thank you - and I hope you're right about the team :)

@notyetamumbuttrying I'll need your email address but I'll DM you shortly. Pretty sure they call me if there are cancellations. I think that's what happened when my original appointment got moved from May to Feb - they just issued me with a new appointment letter automatically.

Haiyaa · 25/03/2021 15:16

That sounds really positive @blackcurrantqueen! When will you have the hysteroscopy? I suppose it would need to be in the first half of your cycle?

Minster2012 · 25/03/2021 15:30

@Babyghirl yes she (& her family) were/are amazing, they are his "oddparents" (as we aren't religious) & we class the kids as cousins, as I was having years of chemo/immunotherapy treatment so DH & I have never been allowed TTC naturally, it's a route that is very rewarding if you have to go down that way 🥰but let's hope not, we had 3 embryos frozen still so last year we had a MMC this time last year with the first (I stopped my chemo in 2019 so can carry now) then a negative then the last one in feb the embryo didn't survive the thaw, so this is our first actual full fresh round of IVF 🤞🏻& maybe last who knows

@blackcurrantqueen whoop whoop I think that's really positive

Right I need to sort bus ladies

Oooh yum to the Hello Fresh talk. Try Gousto too as I found their recipes super yummy, and healthy!

@Minster2012 funky spunky 😂

Currently in between virtual parents evening calls 😴

DKDK123 · 25/03/2021 17:21

Welcome newbies 😁
On the sandwich filling front, prawn mayo for me yum yum. Its now put me in the mood for one, may need to go defrost some prawns!

@inkypaper I feel you on the insensitive SIL, I had finally confided in mine about all our losses in Jan and 2months later get the we weren't trying announcement in the group chat, she's still yet to even acknowledge that we may be feeling a bit upset (obviously we're happy for her but a wee check in text or heads up before the group announcement would have been nice). Hope you're feeling OK, glad you put them in their place on the call!

@Dollybird89 your heart must have been in your mouth when you opened the door to the police! Glad it was nothing serious.

@ltay2 you're doing great, keep at it everything with a newborn is hard at first especially when you're so sleep deprived but it will get easier. My DS was 5 weeks early and he struggled with breast feeding too (that and I had the worst milk supply ever), but the nurse said some premie babies can find it hard to bf because it takes far more effort for them to get the milk out of a nipple compared to free flowing bottle teats. I tried combi feeding for about 6weeks then ditched the pumping as I was beyond exhausted trying to bf, then pumping round the clock for a pitiful amount of milk collected and bottle feeding and sterilising. I felt so guilty for not being able to bf my baby properly but soon realised fed with a happy mum was indeed best for us. So no matter what route you choose be kind to yourself! Ps you'll LOVE the prep machine when it arrives, it's such a godsend!

How frustrating on the results @Juno231. I get what you mean, when they say 'unexplained' medics tend to leave it like that when in reality it's not that there's nothing wrong there clearly is something wrong they just don't know or its too expensive to explore what. Glad there's a lap and IVF on the cards tho so you can at least feel hope that something can happen rather than just a keep BD forever more and hope for the best. (Tho I hope it does happen for you before you even reach the IVF stage)

@youve hit the nail on the head @Catherinettc I didnt realise just how judgemental people can be till I had a child and everyone had an opinion! Took mr a while to realise people are going to judge you on everything about raising a child and all have differing opinions so just do you're own thing and to hell with what others think!

@Minster2012 DHs SA letter said it will be 3 weeks for his results to go back to the GP, thats NHS tho so if private they may get them done a bit quicker. Chuckled at your DHs comment tho 😂

I am tearing my hair out this week. DS has been a nightmare the past 3 weeks since going back to nursery. His tantrums have been off the scale and he's started getting very violent. Don't know if its picking up new behaviours in nursery, being overwhelmed/tired with being back around other kids or just because 3 year olds in general can have stages of behaving like the spawn of Satan. Either way I am done in, my diet has went right out the window this week I have been stress eating like there's no tomorrow 🐷🐷
On another note I had such cramping and AF feeling yesterday that I was convinced I was in for another mega early AF and fully expected to bleed today but it didn't happen. I then got excited and thought maybe it was implantation cramps but I think I was only 5dpo yesterday so it'd be too early for that so have chalked it down to body being a fuck boy as they like to be. 🙄

Franklydear · 25/03/2021 17:24

@Haiyaa pequeño pito, literally means tiny duck and is not even a swear word, like willy....
School visit is next Wednesday morning, well meet the headteacher, the senco, the pastoral team and the current year 7, last for an hour and we both can ask anything to anyone, even they didn't have any appointments left so created one for us this side of Easter to keep the waiting times short

Franklydear · 25/03/2021 17:32

Tiny diiiick, who cares about ducks 🙄
