Ok so we need to get back to us ladies, back to fun games, POAS & getting fit, but you need to help me Cos Minster is flagging with a fuck boy body worse than the rest 🥺

Guess what...it’s nearly Easter & know what that means! 🐰🐣...We don’t want the 🐰to have the fun but bloody hell sometimes it’s a f*cling egg hunt all right 🙈🤣.

March and April we’ve got a lot of exciting times ahead with people going for Clomid & IVF as well as a lot of straight up sex for the “normal” TTC gang so let’s get shagging & FIND THOSE 🐣🌈.

We are still working on our spring challenges alongside trying to get pregnant and we’ve had great results so far- feel free to have a catch up on those and add your own.

And we are still helping each other get fitter, more positive through sharing small changes we are making in our lives and trying to inspire & support each other with these too...as well as of course being there for each other during the sad times.

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

@Minster2012 cracking up at your husbands message!

@Ltay2 you're doing amazing. When I had DS I wanted to breastfeed for a little bit but I just really struggled on the first day and ended up switching over to bottles and for him it worked so well. There's a lot more support these days for women breastfeeding though which is nice

Dollybird89 · 25/03/2021 08:54

@minster2012 yeah OH is back to working full weeks again 😊
Af spotted for a day then still nothing.. did test today just to be sure but bfn 😭(wasn't expecting anything else tbh)

Been to see vampires and donated to their cause 🧛‍♀️ had vit d levels bloods as well as full blood count and bone test? (Maybe to do with my dodgy foot) now gotta wait 2 weeks for results!

InkyPaper · 25/03/2021 08:57

@paintfairy right?!?! To make it even better they then called me last night to talk about it. Also got asked if me and DH were going to keep trying while tests were going on, at which point I lost it a bit and may have asked if they were seriously asking if I was going to continue having sex with my husband. Obviously yes because sex is great and I enjoy it so why would we stop?! I also may have pointed out their lack of sensitivity and was told they were just in shock.

@Minster2012 yes!! 3 minutes pregnant and had to tell the world 🙈 now I'm worried about them losing the baby. Ooh I haven't done that emkfit one yet, might try it tonight.

@Sausage1990 thanks lovely ❤️ Yesterday was just a mess and I'm so tired. Feel like I haven't slept, but I think that's just general life stress rather than just what went down yesterday

@Franklydear Happy anniversary for yesterday!

@Vil10 20000 steps?! Nice one! My legs hurt just thinking about that 😂

@Ltay2 sounds like you're doing brilliantly with it all ❤️ glad you've been able to get a little more sleep last night

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/03/2021 09:11

@InkyPaper wow 😳 astounded at that convo you had with your bro and SIL, like are ppl ok?! I really do wonder!!
@Minster2012 haha loving your Dhs response 😜 ooh he'll be out by now won't he. Do they tell you results same day?
@Dollybird89 glad you're being seen too, good luck with the results!

Franklydear · 25/03/2021 09:15

@lucyrp it's not going on about it, it's good support, love
@Sausage1990 your support means the world to me, cos you know the battle
@paintfairy it's the uni library, medical section, those books are for doctors, would be an idea to tell the parents but, they got used to the weird mum and some even helped me understand what I was reading

Ltay2 · 25/03/2021 09:20

@lucyrp @larrythelizard he hasn't been checked for tongue tie but I haven't yet seen or heard from my health visitor so that's something I can ask when I do. Various midwives tried to help with his latch when I was in the hospital and he got there eventually but his problem was he'd do a couple of sucks then just fall asleep. I think since introducing bottles, which I know we had no choice but to do to make sure he was fed, he has got worse with his latching. He now roots around for ages with the nipple there waiting in perfect position but he can't get it, or he gets the nipple in his mouth but doesn't close his mouth around, then he gets frustrated and just cries so I've mostly given up trying him at the breast now although I do now and again before a bottle if he's not already cranky. I've thought all along with him being prem and so small (he was 4lb 9oz on hospital discharge) that his mouth was too small for my nipples as he doesn't open wide enough to get a good mouthful and my boob is so big now it's like it smothers his little face.

Vil10 · 25/03/2021 09:23

@Ltay2 I'll definitely be sharing!! You're doing amazing💪🏽❤️

@Minster2012 I definitely thinking the Philippines will be going ahead! Surely by December??😩 on the grapefruit juice, I've been having apple, kiwi and grapefruit as a fruit salad for an afternoon snack and the grapefruit is disgusting and all the juice from the fruit has soaked into my apple and kiwi so it all tastes like grapefruit🤮 but it's good for you so I'm still going😂

Franklydear · 25/03/2021 09:27

@Florence13 the link is considered anecdotical, and it's not evident in babies as in could be many other reasons, don't want to worry anyone, he never took a dummy, he had problems sucking not latching and he was over five when he learnt to suck through a straw, before that he chew them, we had sucky cups for a long time....but yes, lifted a very weight when I realized that not only I didn't try hard ey bit also achieved a very unlikely if not impossible
@Ltay2 I didn't find a lot of help from the midwife, found a la leche league near you

Babyghirl · 25/03/2021 09:38

@minster2012
I couldn't either a full shop is the best way esp when working all week. When my partner had to go for his sa he had me go with him to help him as other ways it takes him for ever to cum well to say I laughed is an under statement as it was like a teenage boys room dirty mags and that 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

Juno231 · 25/03/2021 10:14

@ltay2 ah that sounds super frustrating, big hugs to you! My friend's baby took 5 weeks to latch on so there's still plenty of hope. In the meantime she became a super producer and donated lots to the local hospital which I think is cool! And yeah as frankly said - the meds from your complicated birth may be affecting your supply atm so be kind to yourself.

So I had my results follow up appointment with the doc this morning (she was half an hour late lol). All test results are fine (AMH of 21.3 so I'm relieved) and OH's SA showed 84m/ml, 7% morphology and 72% motility so that's really good too. So basically she said I am officially diagnosed as having unexplained infertility. Next steps is waiting until the two year mark to apply for IVF.

I asked her whether we'd be good candidates for IUI (privately) and she said no there's no point as I ovulate well and there's no MFI so there's no added benefit to it compared to just good old regular BD.

She did offer to refer me for a laparoscopy so that's what I'll be waiting for next.

paintfairy · 25/03/2021 10:18

@Juno231 what was the AMH of the online test compared to the nhs one? And when would your 2 year mark be?

Minster2012 · 25/03/2021 10:45

@Babyghirl when was that SA? We aren't allowed to any appointments together last year or this, I've just spoken to him @notyetamumbuttrying I don't know how long the results take def not same day prob a week or so more like 2 I would say - he said "OMG love it was awful, there was no internet, no pictures, no magazines and just a horrible sterile room, so it was an effort, took a while" 🤣😂

@Juno231 that's good but not good I guess?! There are so many ppl with unexplained infertility, I totally didn't realise, when is 2 years? But the one thing I will say is my friends who both had it, got ivf and both got pregnant first time 🥰🙌🏻and the AMH means you'll likely respond really well to the meds!

@Vil10 yeah Dec will be fine and you will be banging!

Babyghirl · 25/03/2021 10:56

@minster2012
Last Feb so just before the first lock down my app with the fertility consultant nxt wed is on the phone but I'm hoping he tells me what he's going to do so I knw I'm on the right path and get me in to do what he needs to as apps r starting up slowly again 💚

Franklydear · 25/03/2021 11:02

Girls!!! Happy dance time💃🍾 not only the school has called when they said they would, they have specialist teachers in both dyslexia and autism, but don't let me talk on the phone come and visit us, we don't have any new student tours left but no problem, let's create a slot for you

Juno231 · 25/03/2021 11:03

@paintfairy it was 21.3 - which is in between my two readings done online (15.2-26.6). I came off the pill in Sep 2019 and did NTNP until Jan so 2 years is technically then but they've got me down for July and I'm certainly not going to correct them! With funding and waiting lists I imagine it will be early next year?

2020mission · 25/03/2021 11:10

@Juno231 ohh that's both good and bad as if there's something wrong that they can fix it feels more like progress but hopefully that means it will happen for you soon without having to wait for IVF🤞

I feel so so far behind everyone with testing as I haven't even got my first blood results yet. I don't understand any of the language you all speak with AMH (even though I think @Minster2012 explained it to me a while back). I'm reaching the "I give up" stage again... do I really need a baby? Very tempted to skip next month for a break from all the stress. My husband still hasn't booked his SA - the pot is just collecting dust here. Did anyone else have to really nudge their OH to do it?

@Franklydear that sounds great! Hopefully the school will be all sorted soon.

larrythelizard · 25/03/2021 11:12

Ok so good no reason @Juno231 but also massively frustrating. AMH is good though; I'm getting mine tested in April and quite worried about it! Saw your update about it being July, that's not too far away 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 and knowing that you're AMH and morphology are normal means that trying before then isn't pointless.

Ooh great news @Franklydear! Smashing it with the schools!

I don't understand these early announcements @InkyPaper but I think I'm overly private as my parents are quite overbearing!!

InkyPaper · 25/03/2021 11:45

@Franklydear the great news!! 🎉🎉

@larrythelizard yeah, I don't get it either. There's so much that can go wrong. Maybe I'm just too cautious these days

@2020mission sounds like you do need a month off from it all 🤗 I had to nudge my DH to book his appointment but it didn't take that long for him to get around to booking it. You're not behind at all, I only had my first blood test yesterday, so don't worry ❤️

@Juno231 that's good but incredibly frustrating at the same tim

Kirky658 · 25/03/2021 12:07

@franklydear woohooo that's fab news, you go girl!!! ❤️👌

@ltay2 you are doing amazingly!!! Thank you for sharing your story too, I really want to breastfeed but I want DH to be able to feed baby too so I was reading up about pumping, omg the machines are so expensive I could have cried! But I'm weighing up if the cost justifies some sleep?! Lol

MartyMcShy · 25/03/2021 12:08

That's good all your results were fine @juno231 but it's tough when it's unexplained-there's no magic cure for it. Interesting to hear what the doctor said about IUI too. All our results are normal so we've decided to leave IUI for now and keep trying. We're hoping the hsg might help...desperation I know! I think if it doesn't happen in the next few months we'll go straight to IVF then.

@2020mission, sounds like you're having a tough time. We can relate to that. I think men just like to bury their head in the sand and think things will turn out ok. Just remind your OH it takes two to make a baby...and the testing for women is far more invasive as is fertility treatment!

@ltay2, you are doing a great job. There is so much pressure on mums to bf. I did it for 7 months and nearly cracked from the exhaustion. I detested pumping too and found is so frustrating when I got so little. Do whatever works for you.

@franklydear, brilliant news about the school. You are a great advocate for your son.

@inkypaper, I'm so sorry to hear how insensitive your bro and sil have been. It beggars belief. Having had family members struggle with conceiving, I still cannot believe how thoughtless some people can be. We've had strangers ask us if we're going to have a second...

Catherinettc · 25/03/2021 12:21

U know what I have realised ladies? People are going to judge u and have an opinion on u regardless 🤷‍♀️

I got pregnant at 17 (not planned, very nieve etc etc) and the shock horror from everyone was horrible. There were comments that I was too young and had ruined my life etc etc

This time I'm 37 and shock horror I'm too old and apparently it was my turn now for an easy life now that the other kids are older etc etc and people so surprised that it was actually planned and took a while.

The kids in between I got comments about being a baby making machine and stuff. There are very few people who are genuinely happy for you and with no judgement so we can't win honestly 🤦‍♀️

Don't beat yourself up over comments etc as like above shows ur never going to please anyone. Focus on yourself and explain yourself to no one cos its not their business 🤷‍♀️

Good news on the school front @Franklydear 😁 not so good on jab @Minster2012 but probably for the best as its so much money to lose and stuff. Postponing won't be the end of the world. It could be something that'd meant to be. When u do get ur Rainbow at least u will be fully vaccinated 👍

Not much happening here. Still can't sleep and still fat just kinda sums it up 🤣🤣

Florence13 · 25/03/2021 12:24

@Juno231 good news on the results but not good that it is unexplained. Glad you have a plan for moving forward with everything though.

@Franklydear yay!! I’ll get my dancing shoes on that is fantastic!!

blackcurrantqueen · 25/03/2021 12:25

@Ltay2 congratulations again on your beautiful baba! I am a bit of a breastfeeding pro. Though never actually managed it with my little girl I ended up pumping exclusively for nearly 6 months. 😂😂😂 (never again!)
I can offer you a few tips...
the elvie is fab for out and about but is renowned for not being strong enough to rely on at all times (won't empty you enough basically), a double pump is your best bet.
To properly establish pumping at first you need to be pumping 8-10 times a day. It is really hard work!
Breastfeeding yummy mummies is a really good Facebook group if you want help and assistance you can put a post on there.
It is so hard to figure out the misinformation from the real stuff. So just take it all in your stride 🥰
Whatever decision you make will be best for you and your baby. Don't forget that 😘😘😘

@Minster2012 yes I mix the grapefruit and the Pom!!!

@Juno231 good news about the bloods, reassuring so hopefully you will be able to get the lap. When is 2 years ? Xx

@Franklydear yay for DS and the Chinese, that must have been so exciting for you! 🥰

larrythelizard · 25/03/2021 12:33

You're so right @Catherinettc haters going to hate; they can all go fuck themselves 🤷🏻‍♀️

Catherinettc · 25/03/2021 12:37

@larrythelizard exactly! Xx
