Couldn't see a bus ready for April, so I thought I'd start one as AF has just made a very unwelcome appearance 😒

Quick intro - this would be baby #2 as we have a 2 year old DD, have been trying since Jan, so this will be cycle 4 for us.

Who's ready for some April BFPs? 😁

Me 🙋🏼‍♀️ although I'm technically still in it for March, AF is due on the 1st April (ironically 🙄) currently CD10, 3rd cycle after ditching the pill in January, TTC #1! I'm using OPKs this month too but I get clear ovulation symptoms anyway - pelvic aches and EWCM. I just need to know for definite when ovulation actually happens though as I get ovulation symptoms for about 4/5days! 1st cycle was 23days, 2nd was 28days so I'm wondering what this one will be like!!

Frankincense88 · 13/03/2021 17:09

Please can I join? First month TTC again after a MMC last April, MC of a twin in August and traumatic TFMR of the other twin at 20 weeks last Nov. Very anxious and in need of some support / handholding. 💛

Frankincense88 · 13/03/2021 17:09

Forgot to add I'm currently still in it for March (CD 17) but not holding out much hope! Xx

clairehr · 13/03/2021 17:12

Both very welcome, and I'll keep fingers crossed for you both still for the March bus 😊 I think I've eaten my feelings today, so start on the healthy stuff again tomorrow once I'm over my anger at AF 🤣

How is everyone getting on? AF finished now so just waiting to ovulate, keeping fingers crossed 🤞🏻

11DPO here and negative tests galore. AF due tomorrow so not holding out much hope for a BFP this month. Reserve my seat on the April bus!

radiohead11 · 20/03/2021 23:23

Hey everyone, we are TTC baby #2 after deciding to start mid January (but we missed my ovulation for that month). We used OPKs in February, and thought we DTD correctly, but then AF arrived at 11DPO unexpectedly.
Currently on CD2 after AF again turned up early, and I had my shortest ever cycle of 24 days so very confused! I have started temping on this cycle, and Ovia/Femometer app are predicting ovulation around 30-31 March. Here’s hoping we get some BFPs!

Frankincense88 · 21/03/2021 07:34

AF in full swing now - cycles are only 24 days since my TFMR in Nov rather than my usual 28. Have started taking Ubiquonol this cycle as I've read it helps improve egg quality prior to ovulation so fingers crossed 🤞🏼🤞🏼 CD2 and hopefully ovulation around 4th April 💛

Lavagurl · 21/03/2021 08:15

Can I join? This will be my 3rd cycle ttc baby #1. I'm currently on cd 6.
I get married on in just under a week and will be ovulating on my honeymoon so really hope this month is the month!

clairehr · 21/03/2021 08:52

Hi and welcome to all who have joined 😊 how exciting to have some more on the bus, plenty of room for everyone to jump aboard!

I'm now on CD9 and in my fertile window. Had discharge yesterday and day before but only got to DTD last night so keeping fingers crossed that we haven't missed our opportunity 🙄

Does anyone else feel when they're ovulating? I normally get pains around the time of ovulation, but haven't felt it for a couple of cycles so wondering if my body has skipped a couple!

Hi there, can I join the April bus?! Been TTC #2 since May 2020 but a mixture of my body settling after coming off pill and medication, mixed in with a very hit and miss approach to DTD, means we're still at it!! AF is visiting now so April cycle is my target one; gonna try ovulation strips for the first time. Any tips on getting the best readings out them??

radiohead11 · 21/03/2021 13:11

@clairehr I thought I got ovulation pains on the day before I started tracking this year, but it seems I just get them randomly on the days leading up to it (or I’m just starting to notice it more now) and so I am trying to focus more on CM/OPKs for confirmation. I bought the clear blue advanced ovulation kit this month too, as we were honestly so sure we did it correct in February, but this last cycle my DP went into hospital 2 days before ovulation so we missed that too.

@Frankincense88 fingers crossed for April!

@Lavagurl congratulations, enjoy your honeymoon too :)

@ReggaeIrish the strips confuse me a little, as I got a peak reading on Saturday 06 March which lasted until lunch time Sunday 07 March, so I’m not actually sure when I ovulated this last cycle. But I am a newbie for OPKs so hopefully someone else will know!

Frankincense88 · 21/03/2021 13:39

@ReggaeIrish I use the Clearblue Digital Ovulation kit (pricey but effective) it was down to £17 from £30 on Amazon the other week so I bought a couple as I've never got on with strips and always missed my peak. The CB kit is good as it tells you when you're fertile and when you have your LH surge so you can find DTD with ovulation. It is expensive though which is the only downside but I'm at a point now where I literally don't care anymore 😂

localbunny · 21/03/2021 13:50

Hi everyone, I'm jumping onboard! We've been ttc #1 since January, currently on cycle 4. I know it's still early doors but everyone I know seems to get pregnant at the drop of a hat, so trying to stay chill about it all (probably failing ha).

CD16 today, I use the clear blue advance fertility sticks too @frankincense88 - I hate those tiny regular strips I can never read them! Have had flashing smileys for five days now but still low temps so dtd as much as poss!

Hoping this is a lucky bus for everyone

ReggaeIrish · 21/03/2021 15:38

@Frankincense88 think I might be using clear blue after looking a bit more into them; the strips seem a bit too confusing and fiddly - I need a clear "go/don't go" signal and yes I'm at the point where I don't care about the money! I need help in any format; willing to try any ol' wives tales if it gets me preggas!!😆

dany174 · 21/03/2021 15:56

Hi Everyone, may I join? AF arrived 3 days ago. Ttc #1, started in December.

The idea was to just stake it easy and see what happens but I had a chemical pregnancy in February. I cant get ttc out of my head since so I decided to just get serious about it and ordered ovulation strips for this month. I'm a very black and white person when it comes to these thing. If I cant be easy going about it I need spreadsheets and diagrams.

radiohead11 · 21/03/2021 17:34

Welcome @dany174!

Sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy.

I am the same, I thought it would be easier as we conceived our first child whilst on the pill! But now I’m researching BBT patterns and photos of peak OPKs - it is now feeling like an experiment! Fingers crossed for you this month

dany174 · 22/03/2021 11:29

@radiohead11

I know, I feel like all my life I have been told be very very carful because it only takes one spermatozoid to get you pregnant. Now that I want it it suddenly isn't as simple. Stress when you don't want it, stress when you do.

CV1201 · 22/03/2021 12:06

Hello all!

I've been following the March bus but have only just found the courage to post!

My partner and I unexpectedly fell pregnant in 2015 and it's been a rocky road for us, but we have made it through the other side and our DD is now 5 years old.

Up until recently my partner had always been adamant he didn't want any more children, which secretly broke my heart. In January he decided it was the right time to try for number 2 (hurrah!) I'm super excited especially for my DD who I know will make the most fantastic big sister!

I have started tracking everything, which is driving me crazy btw!! I have been using the clear blue digital ovulation sticks for the past 3 days. I had daily blank circles but this morning it showed a static smiley. Has anyone else missed the flashing smilies completely?

I'm excited to follow this journey with you all! Xxx

justwant2beamum · 22/03/2021 12:20

Hey can I please join in TTC #1. Came off pill sept 2020, pregnant January 2021 but discovered I had a MMC at 9+4 on 1st March. So now we are trying again straight away and praying I fall quickly and manage to have a healthy pregnancy and baby. The stress first time around was bad enough I'm not sure how I'll cope now!

Sam8582 · 22/03/2021 19:17

Hi all, can I hop on the bus too...ttc #1, only 2nd month of trying (cd5 at the mo) last month had my longest period to date, 31, 4days over the usual and was surprised how quickly my head ran away with me, scouring mn for ‘positive tests after being late’ posts. Trying to dial down the crazy for this cycle haha

Itsjustme20 · 22/03/2021 21:03

Hope you don’t mind me ‘hopping on’ the bus!

Eee how exciting! Hopefully lots of BFPs for everyone soon 😊

I’m currently 3 days late for AF but did a cheap test yesterday which was a BFN so not a clue what’s going on so I might be joining the April TTC group! 😊

LaurenNH · 24/03/2021 07:09

Hi all!🙋🏼‍♀️

Please can I jump on the bus?

Period due (or not) on April 5th, first month TTC after we lost twins at 12w at the beginning of Feb this year. We have a 2yo boy that we fell pregnant with instantly, this time I used clear blue advanced in the hope of regaining some misguided impression of control over the situation 🤣

Into the 2WW now and feeling quite anxious!!!

Lauren

LaurenNH · 24/03/2021 07:10

Also, what does bfp stand for preg test?

justwant2beamum · 24/03/2021 17:44

Hey @LaurenNH I'm fairly similar to you. I lost my first MMC discovered at 9+4 (measuring 7+1-2). Discovered 1st March, surgical management on 5th March so I am on post mc cycle waiting for first normal period. But we have been TTC anyway. But not seen a peak OPK yet so no idea on tww situ for me at the moment!

BFP means big fat positive ie positive pregnancy test
