7 high days opk no peak yet!

Hi,

I’ve been ttc for around 7 months. Brought my first opk this month.

I had one day negative and just had my 7th day of high opk. This is now day 17.

Cycle is normally around 30/31 days.

Any advice or has anyone else had multiple high opks?

@Angie887 that’s one of the reasons I decided not to breastfeed we do combination. She has breast first thing and on an evening and bottles overnight and most of the day. I could imagine only getting 2 hour blocks x

@Angie887 Hey, I’m having both good(ish) days and bad days which is better than it has been as it was just bad days. I’m hoping it’ll continue to ease in the upcoming weeks. Just over 11 weeks now, scan is booked for a week on Monday 🤞.

I’m glad to hear you don’t have long to wait now and that your still remaining positive it’ll happen naturally. I’m keeping everything crossed for you 🤞

Hello lovely ladies. Sorry about the silence but I'm happy to say I've started my ivf cycle and I'm due to have my egg collection on Monday!. I'm travelling today for my last scan and hopefully everything will still be on track for egg collection on Monday.

@BellaBoo7 it went well thank you, I’ll be 14+2 today. Still seems to be going slow but hoping once I get to my next scan it may start going quicker. Hope you’re well?

@Angie887 I’m not bad thank you, still have sickness but mostly just morning apart from a blip the other day and had go into hospital in the end. Hoping it’ll continue to ease in the upcoming weeks completely.

@Angie887 how did the egg collection go? That’s so exciting.

@AZ1992X it will go faster from your 20 week as you will start getting everything ready and then the last few weeks also feel like forever!

She is 9 weeks old now! It’s going so fast it’s crazy. She’s had her first jabs and we got covid again this week 🤦‍♀️

Hello ladies. Sorry for the delay in replying. I've been struggling with sickness this week because of the meds.
On the bright side I managed to have 16 eggs collected and 11 fertilised. Hopefully the little ones can hold on until day 5 so they can go in the freezer until I'm ready for a transfer.
I'll have to freeze all the embryos as I'm at risk of OHSS. Looking into doing a transfer at some point in May.

How you both lovely ladies doing?

I thought I'd check on you both since I'm stuck in hospital for a week with ohss. Good news I have 7 lovely little snow flakes waiting to be back where they belong 🥰. I'm hoping to do a transfer in May.

Yes, I was thinking once I hit 20 weeks I’m sure I’ll relax more and be more busy planning/buying things so it’ll go quicker.

I’m doing well thank you, the sickness has eased soo much this past few weeks so managing to eat/drink more and starting to feel almost normal.
Got a scan booked for next week as it felt so long between the 12 and 20 week scan so wanted to get a reassurance once in and could possibly find out the gender too. 🤞x

@AZ1992X congratulations 😊. Have you been shopping non stop? Once we found out the gender we were constantly buying things. Have you picked how you are doing the nursery? X

@BellaBoo7 thank you! I haven’t brought a thing yet 🙈, which is not like me as I’m normally very organised. I think I’ll plan a shopping trip shortly as I’d rather go and look around shops than doing it all online. I did a rough list at the weekend too which I’ll use as a guide.

I’ve started to look into nursery inspo on instagram etc… but not decided on it yet, when did you start doing the nursery? X.

@AZ1992X we ordered the travel system
and nursery furniture at 20 weeks as it takes ages to come and I think we got the nursery painted at about 6 months. I’m a worrier and wanted it all sorted incase she arrived early. We picked the travel system up the middle of December and the nursery furniture arrived end of Nov (so at around 7 months) x

I'm happy to say that my IVF cycle was a success and I finally got my BFP after nearly 20 months of negatives, hundreds injections and litres of tears 😅. I feel like I'm dreaming ! I couldn't be happier. Never give up on your dreams because miracles do happen 💕

I'm just confused when you girls contact you gp for prenatal check ups?

Omg @Angie887 I’m so pleased for you. When is little one due? I contacted my gp as soon as I knew and they put it on the system and u get called for your appointments based on when your last period was. I think I had my bloods done at 8 or 9 weeks. Does the ivf centre not follow up at all?

@AZ1992X how long do you have left? Have u got much ready now?

we have just got back from highchair shopping 😱. She’s 4.5 months now!!!

@BellaBoo7omg time does fly. I cannot believe she's already 4.5 months! Are you starting her on solid food already?

Thank you ❤. I honestly thought I'd never see those 2 lines again. I'm still very early on at 5dpt which would be equivalent to 11dpo. Ivf Clinic said to call them only on test date on next weekend so they will book me for a scan. I might wait another week to contact my GP to make sure I have a solid line. This is all so new to me!!
Provided everything goes well I'll be due in February🤞🤞🤞.

I'm trying to keep positive but I still cannot believe I have 2 lines on my test 🌈

We are trying to hold for now but she’s desperate grabbing my arm and constantly watching food. We thought a highchair may give us more peaceful dinner times though as she can sit with us 😊.

i called my gp really early on but if the clinic wait until next weekend I’d prob wait until then too x

@Angie887 that’s wonderful news, really happy for you ❤️. I rang fairly early and they put me in touch with the midwife who booked the 12 week scan/first midwife appointment etc... Keep us posted how you get on. X

@BellaBoo7 I’m just over 26 weeks now so still a little while to go. I’ve got an extra nhs scan booked at 28 weeks due to my sickness they want to make sure he’s on track growth wise etc…

I’ve just started buying things in the last week - we’ve ordered the pram/travel system and cot has arrived. Everyone around us has been buying so much which really helps as it’s ticked so much off our list already.

@AZ1992X all the shopping is so exciting. What did you go for? I had lots of growth scans but tbh I’ve now also learnt the size they are born doesn’t mean much. She was 6lb12 and 25th percentile she’s now 15lb 12 and 75th 😂

@BellaBoo7 the crib is a SnuzPod and went for a silver cross pram/travel system. I’m going to start buying all my toiletries etc soon so my hospital bag is ready early just incase.

yes I’ve heard people say don’t worry to much as there not always accurate and come out different weight than predicted.

@AZ1992X we have the snuzpod and love it definitely a good choice 😊

my top buys for my bag were a peri bottle, maternity pads and the my expert midwife spritz for bits and the soak for when you’re home. I was only in for the 6 hours you have to stay so didn’t use much from my bag apart from toothbrush and shower gel x

@BellaBoo7 Ah have you! That’s good to hear you like it.

I actually wrote the spritz for bits on my list as I’ve heard a few people say to get - I’ll add the soak one onto it too. Didn’t have the peri bottle so will look into it.
