The Ferti-Lily

Hey,

So... this is month 24 of TTC and I've just invested in a ferti lily! 😂 it's last resort before turning to science!

So long story short, I have 2 DC from a previous relationship. I have been trying for 2 years for another as my new partner doesn't have any and obviously I would love another one. I have had all tests etc and I have been diagnosed with a blood disorder which hopefully will be sorted with Asprin. I have had 2 chemical pregnancies along the way.

DP has low mobility hence trying the ferti lily!

So my question is.. has anyone else been using this?

I'm pretty sure feta is ok as long as it's pasteurised. Gin sounds lovely, I haven't had a drop of alcohol since Christmas. I also cut out coffee but now treat myself to 1 or 2 cups a week. Literal crackheads get pregnant so it probably makes no difference at all 😢

Yeah I cut out alcohol, cheese, pate and even sweets etc for months and it made no difference so now I try to avoid most but all in moderation. I don't drink tea or coffee, never have so gin is my vice 😉 haha. Yeah in my job there's constantly addicts popping children out. I actually don't know anyone that has really cut a lot out and tried really hard to the extent and got pregnant. It's always been like oh I didn't have alcohol one weekend or oh I decided to take a multivitamin for a change. That's the extent of the lifestyle change. It's frustrating!

I really think it's coincidence a lot of the time. Like who's to say if they hadn't started a multi-vit that they wouldn't have got pregnant anyway. I just know that since I made some healthier diet choices that I have more noticeable ewcm so I keep it up for that reason if nothing else.

Also I saw a gynaecologist recently who's advice for me was 'don't even think about getting pregnant and it will happen'. As you can imagine I was like ehhhhhhh 🙄

Urg I just replied with a moan but I think I pressed a button which didn't post it! I agree. It's never easy and I think we just have to accept that we try our best and that's all we can do. Also mentioned that I left the lily in overnight and I found it so comfortable that I forgot it was there and almost went to work with it still in! Although it did leak a little through the night but it could be worse!

How did you find getting it out in the morning? I'm still paranoid mine isn't sitting in the right place but where else can it go 😅

Yep 'doing the best I can' is my current mantra. That's all we can ask of ourselves. I'm sure our time will come soon 💕

How's everyone else getting on this month? 🤞

I have devised that I pull the wee tail as far as possible, grip the top of it with toilet roll then try to touch the side of the cup and pull and just hear the suction go and all fine! Haha. So attractive.

Hey ladies how are we all doing?

So I’m onto cycle 4 using the fertilily. Had a chemical in April so wasn’t hopeful for anything happening in May we were away and I think that took my mind off it all when AF arrived.

I’ve randomly gone from low fertility to peak without any high readings in a matter of hours. I use the CB digital. I wasn’t due to ov until the weekend. So we’ve BD on both peak days hoping I’ve covered the key days.

I kept the cup in after we did a little lunch time session; I was sat having lunch with a friend thinking omg I’ve got a cup full of sperm stuck home me 🤣

I am 9dpo and was able to use the lily this month but bfns so far. AF will he due soon so I think that is me out this month. Onto cycle 11. More lily time 😂. If only your friend knew 😂

Hi ladies, I'm currently cd39 and only ovulated cd33 so there was lots of dtd this month some with fertilily and some not!

@Loops01 I’m 10dpo like you! Don’t count yourself out yet, you might not even implant until today 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Wow @Marvellouslymadmum, this is going to be a very long cycle for you! Glad you got your peak in the end though! Have you ever had a uss for Cysts on your overlies?

@MrsBirds that happened to me this month too, no warning just boom peak! So we DTD 2 days in a row and I slept with Fertilily in (for the first time).. so I can’t imagine I’m in with much chance, lol

10dpo and still no hint of a line. Same as every other month. AF should be due within the next few days. Just looking to getting on with the new cycle now. Enjoying using the lily so hoping that cycle 11 is the cycle! Period is due cd38. Longest ever cycle in about 2 years! All due to covid vac. Hoping this next one it starts to become more normal again. Trying soy isoflavones to bring ovu forward as mine was cd26 I think. Good luck with your dpos!

It’s really strange but I feel like I have ovulation pain again 🤷🏼‍♀️ Wonder if I didn’t ovulate before

@SLCxxx how do you test normally? Nah I'm out. I can't keep thinking positive, the fall hurts more!

@Loops01 when I started I used to test from day 9dpo and even if it was BFN I would still have hope so now I hold out until the day I’m due on or the day after. I’m not holding out much hope, I no really symptoms and we only DTD twice. I test ovulation with Clear blue advanced & easy @ hone strips.. not at all obsessive 🤦🏼‍♀️ Do you work in maternity too?

No I'm police but everyone is pregnant just now! AF arrived just now. Normally I know when it's due and don't really test but these past 2 months have been all over the place. Need to try and extent my luteal phase as its gone from 13 to 10. Any tips? Progesterone cream?

@Loops01 has your gp sent you for day 3 & 21 (technically is 7dpo) bloods and referred you for a uss? If not that where I would start, to see if they can pin point a reason your cycles are shortening. Sorry AF arrived xx

Thanks @SLCxxx but my gp has only done day 21 bloods which was on this cycle which is off due to my vaccine so I thought I hadn't ovulated (which obviously I didn't) but ovulation came 10 days later which was after the test) so that was rubbish. Gp confirmed haven't ovulated and is referring my to fertility clinic as after this month it'll be 1 year ttc. Gp won't do anything! I've called them 4 times during all this and that's all I've managed to get. Infuriating. I've booked for a private ultrasound this cycle. It'll be day 17 cos its in another city and sadly its the closest time to ovulation I could get.

GPs are horrendous sometime, they know a little of everything but specialise in nothing 🤦🏼‍♀️ Glad you are getting your referral. I would request day 3 bloods (FSH, LH) and day 21 blood form.. then track and do the 21 day on 7dpo. I had to do that as my cycles are irregular- my GP actually recommended that

@SLCxxx I had a uss in may but they couldn't see my ovaries at all, said there was too much gas in there 🤦🏼‍♀️
Do you temp as well as use opk? You can get an Lh peak and not ovulate, I had failed ovulation 3 times this month all with peak opk the only reason I knew they hadn't worked is because my temps didn't rise. Then the 4th attempt it actually worked

I'm currently 7/8dpo cd41 so will be around 50 day cycle for me again this time 🙄

@Marvellouslymadmum I was thinking about you and wondering if you ended up ovulating so this cycle can actually come to an end, one way or another (preferably with a BfP 🤞🏻). Yes I also temp, I’ll attach my chart. I also had bloods this month which were normal

@SLCxxx I got there in the end! Why does it think you ovulated when your Lh was low? That's confusing me

@Marvellouslymadmum I have zero idea, my peaks were CD13/14. Are they going to rescan? Doesn’t make sense for them to just say “sorry, can’t see”, that would be horrendous
