TWW starts... ovulation day today! Anyone else?

Hi ladies!

Anyone else ovulated today? I'm pretty sure I did after a peak OPK yesterday and now starting the dreaded TWW... my first as we're on cycle 1. I'm CD16 with a generally 30 day cycle.

Would love some company as I inevitably drive myself absolutely loco over the next fortnight 😂

Any early symptoms I can look out for to keep me occupied?!

Sorry last one - the line reader on Fertility Friend app is a godsend! It shows it up a lot more clearly. The line is pink in real life.

I don't want to be negative as I would LOVE a buddy to join me but the line doesn't look v central o don't think I've ever seen the positive line that near to the edge ?? Can you do another one ? X

Ahh really @mrssunshinexxx I didn't realise it had to be central 🙈 is that something to look out for? Going to get some more and do another test in the morning. Feeling a bit nauseous and cramps from yesterday have disappeared, still no sign of AF so will see how today goes. Are you doing to do another do you think? X

@Jaymar ahh that's lovely, you'll feel more confident every day I imagine? Is your other half excited? How far along are you now?

My husband and I just keep saying to each other 'this is mental' 😂 his best man and wife are in the ward right now waiting for their little girl to arrive, so it's a funny day for us to find out. (Fingers crossed all continues of course and the line gets darker over next few days.)

@HaresHoping I what you mean. We know sex = babies but when it’s happens to you there’s still that shock of oh, it actually works.

I’m only 4+1 so still very early days. DH is cautiously excited too. We told our parents last night because they were great when we had the MMC so we want their support from the start this time, plus it helped it feel a bit more real. My mother in law is actually a retired midwife/health visitor which is handy!

Still BFN’s for me! But of drama yesterday though...!
I caved yesterday afternoon and went and bought cheap Sainsbury’s own (saving my FRER @ CB) and did one and it gave me a false positive, or an early evap line (I don’t know when it appeared as I didn’t want to watch!) So that made me do the other in the box but new wee (BFN) and then my last of my other tests! Also BFN’s!!
Researched the hell out of it and turns out Sainsbury’s are famous for this!

Still no AF either but gah...!!!!
Just want it to come now!!!!

Anyway, sun is shining and DP is home today so will try and forget about POAS, not that I have any left now 🙈🤣🤣🤣

This was what I suspect is an evap or void + anyway 🙈😭 that’s two of those I’ve had! Bloody teases!!!!

This looks quite blue and positive to be an evap?

@GCB1234 ah that sounds so stressful! This is why I only trust myself with digitals, but I think they are bit less sensitive so can’t use them for super early testing. Enjoy the sunshine ☀️

@Jaymar we did the same and told our parents this time. Will be thankful for the extra support. And ours were also so good after MMC and almost felt bad they didn't get to experience any of the excitement last time. And this time they'll also be cautious with us.

So handy your MIL was a midwife!

I've already got my booking appt through for end of March and booked a private scan the day before (will be 8+2 by then).

Ahh thank you so much everyone that's very reassuring! Going to get some more shortly to test again over next few days. Will stick to FRER for now.

@Jaymar that's exactly what it is! I've spent so long trying to avoid it that it almost feels wrong?! Haha. Aw that's great that you've told parents and got that support, a really good idea. How handy that your MIL is a former midwife! Take good care of yourself and just try to take each day as it comes. Crossing everything for you that it's a nice smooth journey.

Oh @GCB1234 you poor thing, this is beyond frustrating for you! What DPO are you now? Until AF arrives you're still def in with a chance! Good idea taking your mind off things today - and I'm glad you've run out of tests for your own sake bless you! 😂❤️❤️❤️ try to keep yourself occupied and treat yourself to something nice.

It was convincing enough to persuade me to try with the last of my other tests.. and start cold negatives! Then googled info on the Sainsbury’s brand and loads of stories of these :-( Boo!

I have no idea if I even ovulated, I’m going by DTD dating which suggests I have up to next Sat to know either way! 😭

I’m absolutely loving all the positives on here though... this must be such a successful thread, I love it! Lots of Nov babies?!!

Woah I don’t check in for half a day and so much happens! @WrongendoftheSTIX you and I are in the same boat. Af showed up for me this morning so here we go again! Onwards and upwards. This was only the first month or trying again so I don’t feel too deflated.

But you guys! What great news @mrssunshinexxx and @HaresHoping I’m seeing those lines clearly. So pleased for you! And @GCB1234 your test is definitely something but then all the other bfn. Hmmm. You’ve got time still by the sounds of it. I guess now you have used all your tests you won’t have any to tempt you. Or have you already been on amazon ordering more?

@GCB1234 funny you mentioned the November babies thing as I was having a conversation earlier with dp and we were wondering if perhaps we shouldn’t try this coming month. All because it would be a December baby. I sort of think about how celebrating your birthday when there is already so much going on, parties etc before Xmas, might somehow make it feel less special? What do you guys think?

@WonderCity I wouldn't pause. Every month counts and it having taken 3 years to conceive DD, I just wouldn't worry too much about what month you conceive. Any month is awesome! I used to be keen on avoiding August baby so it wasn't the youngest at school. Nowadays, I wouldn't care if I had a baby on 31st August.

@WrongendoftheSTIX yeah I have a feeing you’re right with that thinking. It only took 3 months to conceive last time but that was good fortune as I’m actually super old in terms of having babies and now I’m another two years older on top of that so yeah, I think it makes sense.

@WonderCity oh I think Dec babies are so special, I think with all the Xmas carols on the radio, I find it quite romantic! My DS was due 2nd Jan and didn’t arrive till the 12th Jan so there’s also still a big window to avoid a total clash! I say keep going!

I’m so tempted to make a trip to Boots 🙈 At least if I go Amazon it’s tomorrow though. I know I should let AF show and stop wasting money but my name is GCB123 and I am a POAS-aholic 🤣🤣🤣 Give me strength!

I'm a December baby! 21st. Always loved it because people made a big fuss of me because they felt sorry for me. I have always insisted that I have a 'birthday month' and always do something fun for my birthday. At uni I'd have to celebrate on like the 5th with friends before everyone went back home but aside from that it's been great. When abouts in the month would you be due roughly?
