TWW starts... ovulation day today! Anyone else?

Hi ladies!

Anyone else ovulated today? I'm pretty sure I did after a peak OPK yesterday and now starting the dreaded TWW... my first as we're on cycle 1. I'm CD16 with a generally 30 day cycle.

Would love some company as I inevitably drive myself absolutely loco over the next fortnight 😂

Any early symptoms I can look out for to keep me occupied?!

@HaresHoping Just had a look back at my RHR history over the past 9 months or so. My usual resting range is 51-65. But when I was in my first trimester last year and in this current first trimester the range is 57-79. So I definitely think there’s something in it.

Ahh that's good to know @Jaymar! I had a huge spike with the chemical last month and I've seen lots of other ladies say they've had spikes too so I agree! Hoping that it's not just a fluke this time - only way to know is to wait unfortunately 🙄😂 how are you feeling? How far along are you now?

I’m about 8 weeks and feeling rotten. Got constant nausea. There’d better be a cute baby at the end of all this or I’ll be raging

@Jaymar oh god that sounds awful bless you. My friends have suffered with the nausea too and it sounds really hard. Their tips were to eat loads of carbs and, this is gross but... sweet tea is okay on the way back 😂😳 really hope it settles soon for you lovely x

@Jaymar aww I hope you're ok. I have got v v mild nausea a few food aversions and have been sticking to very bland foods.

@HaresHoping your RHR sounds promising! How many DPO are you now and when are you planning to test?

Ahh thank you @xRRx, fingers crossed though it has dropped by a beat today. Just hoping it doesn't keep dropping as that's what happened last month with the chemical 😕 I'm really reading into everything too much now!

Not planning on testing until 5th April. Due AF on Tuesday/ Wednesday but don't want to test on a day I have to work. Plus if it is a chemical like last time I'd rather not get hopes up too much. It's nerve wracking isn't it 😔

How are you getting on today? Have you booked any scans or anything?

@HaresHoping that's great will power if you resist until the 5th. But I agree it's better to test when not working to be able to react to the outcome. And by that point hopefully you won't need line eyes!

I'm good thanks. Once you get your BFP you'll realise the TWW is a doddle compared to waiting for your first scan. Time is moving so slowly. Yes booked a private one as 12 weeks for NHS scan is too far away, especially after MMC last time. I'd just rather know if it's viable or not at this stage. It's in a few days 😬. Feeling hopeful yet fully managing expectations 🤞🏻

@xRRx I am a div... I meant the 2nd! Good Friday anyway 😂 thank you v much, what will be will be and I don't have too long to wait if AF arrives on Tuesday, at least I will know then. Having a few v light cramps but I've heard that can be a pregnancy symptom so could go either way...

Oh bless you, it must be really tough. I'm crossing everything for you that you have a lovely experience with the scan. Hope the next few days go by quickly so you get to see your little bean! It's an anxious time anyway isn't it without having suffered an MC previously and also being in the middle of a pandemic. You're doing so well! Just keep going. Let us know how you get on with your scan xxx

So I caved already and tested... BFN at 12DPO. I do feel like I can now hold off until either AF arrives or this Friday, whichever comes first.

I think I'm out ladies. BBT has already dropped below coverline and AF not due until Tuesday/ Wednesday. Bit gutted as we did everything we could this month. Not to worry... onto the next cycle.

It's my ovulation day, dtd today and for the past 3(or 4) days.
I've eaten healthy, slept loads. Had alcohol which I regret but hey ho. Now we wait. This is my first month of ttc so will be interesting when I'll do the first test 😂 plan is to wait till my period but reading on here I don't think I'll have the patience 😁

@HaresHoping sorry to hear about your BBT. I guess you can never say never exactly but you probably know your body quite well. Ttc really ramps up your awareness of things. I’m pretty certain I’m out this month too. Not even sure what day I am. 11 or 12 dpo. I did a FRER this morning bfn but I also have a very typical upset tummy that I get in these few days. I didn’t have much hope this month as we weren’t able to dtd on the days that we wanted. Oh well hey, on to next month it is!

Hey @WonderCity been thinking about you, hope the business stuff is going well? I bet it's been a whirlwind for you. Were you moving house too if I remember rightly?! Like you say it's never certain until you see AF so fingers crossed for you that you get your BFP - only takes one go!

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's AF on the way for me but I'm confused why my RHR went up so much. Maybe it's another chemical in which case I'll consider starting asprin next month and see if that helps in case I have clots.

My temp has dropped prematurely which is strange but I do sometimes have 29 day cycles as well as 31 day cycles so could be that I'll come on tonight rather than Tuesday as predicted.

At least I'll understand my body better after this and will know more for next time. The RHR really does seem to have trolled me - I was convinced it rising 3bpm overnight meant I'd had implantation... ah well. Onto the next one like you say! 💕

Well here comes AF! I feel weirdly relieved that I know the signs I saw this morning were right. In a funny way it's reassuring and empowering.

Right I'm off to spend too much money on a Lush order so I can have a ridiculously indulgent pamper session on Thursday night while my husband is out for the first time this year in someone's garden 😂

Sorry @HaresHoping but you've defo got the right attitude - enjoy that lush order! At least you have avoided December baby lol - I would never turn one down but everyone I know born in December is a bit pissed off about it 😂

I had to have a few days off as I was feeling blessing and got a sinus infection last week so barely did any bd'ing. Luckily I had a record 10 days of flashing smileys 🤦‍♀️ which turned solid yesterday.

We bd on Saturday and yesterday and will do tonight so fingers crossed but with the long wait I'm not holding my breathe. My temp went up today - do we think that means I O'd yesterday?

Also got my second acupuncture treatment today which I'm on two minds about - know it is supposed to be amazing but I was so poorly last week with my sinuses after 🙈🙈🙈 Xx

@HaresHoping another month down. I’m sorry, it’s not easy is it, and some days it’s actually really s*. That said you’ve got it right, it I quite empowered to know oneself so well. Maybe I should be saying something like #girlpower? How 90s of me.

Although I’m not officially there yet I know af is gonna show probably tomorrow. If not it’ll be the day after. This month has flown buy with as you said new business plus moving house. Trying to move house with an 18 month old is proving a challenge guys. This little joker spent ages “hiding” and then jumping out at me. As well as putting random things in boxes and taking organised things out of boxes.

@Lolajames that’s interesting what you said about acupuncture. I’ve had it done but not as a stand alone thing just as part of being at the osteo so it was never relaxing. Isn’t it meant to detoxify the body? Is this why your sinus flared up? Hmm I’ll have to ask google lol

Hi @WonderCity yes the therapist said it would defo be the reason my sinuses flared up! Apparently it unblocks anything and tbh I had been having hellish headaches which have now gone!!! I went to my appt on Monday and my god it was amazing - never been so relaxed and very different from the first one.

She said that even if I'd already O'd the treatment would help by providing blood flow to the uterus and help implantation. As it happens my temp and FF app have now said I O'd Sunday so I'm pleased with that and keeping everything crossed 🤞 Now officially in the crazy 2ww and really going to try and not over think it this month 😩

I had an early scan today at 8+5 and blob was measuring 9 weeks with strong heartbeat. Phew! Another little milestone down.

I’ve always fancied acupuncture, sounds like you got great results @Lolajames Good luck with the TWW 🤞🏼
