TWW starts... ovulation day today! Anyone else?

Hi ladies!

Anyone else ovulated today? I'm pretty sure I did after a peak OPK yesterday and now starting the dreaded TWW... my first as we're on cycle 1. I'm CD16 with a generally 30 day cycle.

Would love some company as I inevitably drive myself absolutely loco over the next fortnight 😂

Any early symptoms I can look out for to keep me occupied?!

Good luck to everyone!

Evening all. I’d love to join if you’ll let me. I’ve been stalking this thread so thought it was probably best to get involved.

I’m on my first month of trying for my second. Currently 5dpo and I keep getting sneaky thoughts of early tests and possible symptoms. It’s a slippery slope. I’ve got 2 FRERs in the bathroom cabinet and 2 hidden away so I don’t have to admit to my OH if I test early lol.

@WonderCity haha you are clever!
Sounds like you'll be testing around same time too.
I don't know if talking to me will help you resist early testing. I might encourage you 😂

Ahh lovely to see some new ladies, welcome @Jaymar and @WonderCity! So sorry to hear about your MMC @Jaymar 😔❤️ sending loads of luck to both of you, lovely to have you with us.

@xRRx I've got those Femometer ones too! About 10 of them, they came in my pack of OPKs... argh I'm going to get tempted to test early aren't I 😂

@Bee44 hahaha you and me both! I'm barely even managing the daily walks tbh... I looked back and my RHR has been 61 for ages and ages so just thought the timing was interesting seeing as I was bang on 5DPO when it first went up, lots of ladies on another thread I'm on said the same thing happened to them before they got their BFP. But like you say it's important not to put all our eggs in the same basket! I'm trying to stay level headed... and failing hahaha! ☺️

I've felt like I've had more symptoms today but again could all be in my head. Backache, feeling dizzy, hot flashes (odd seeing as we still have no boiler) and just generally feeling a bit off and tired. I'm enjoying feeling positive about it all anyway! We'll see ☺️

@HaresHoping I'll definitely try and wear mine more from now on, it usually sits on charge until I remember! I can't believe that your boiler still isn't working 🥶 I feel for you, mines forever on. It's weird how quick symptoms change isn't it, I've been getting lower pelvic cramps for the past 2 days which are getting slightly stronger so I've no idea what that's all about. They're not one sided either like ovary pain which I usually get around AF time plus that's not due until late next week so it's can't be that

HaresHoping · 18/02/2021 08:06

@Bee44 ooh that sounds positive. How many DPO are you again? Yeah it's weird how quickly symptoms can change and I keep reminding myself it's prob at least partly in my head / is something I always get but never notice! I've been getting really light period type cramps that started last night too. Ugh over a week left to wait 😫

Also my Femometer app decided to switch my O day to Feb 14th. None of the others have though so I'm choosing to not believe it - have no idea why it's suddenly moved.

@HaresHoping roughly 5dpo so probably still too early for any symptoms yet I guess! Just hoping I haven't got this wrong, I think I'll start opk's next month if this one doesn't work out. That's annoying with your Femometer! Will it not work out if it did happen to be the 14th? I looked at the Femometer IC's last night but wished I'd ordered the opk's too.

HaresHoping · 18/02/2021 17:45

@Bee44 it might just work out but not as likely - the lack of boiler made Valentine's Day much less romantic 😂 I really don't think it's right but we'll see. I found the OPKs pretty good but now it's telling me I might have had a blip I'm less impressed 😂 will have to see if the app is just being silly.

Had another jump in my RHR today, up to 69 now (67 yesterday, 65 Tues and 61 Mon which was normal). Get that watch on, this all started for me at 5DPO! 😂

How is everyone feeling today?

That’s really interesting re RHR. I’ll need to start using my watch more.

I’m at the stage of the TWW where every twinge convinces me that this is definitely my lucky month. I try to remind myself that this happens every month but I seem to conveniently forget. Symptom spotting is part of the fun though, right? It’s like buying a lottery ticket and fantasising about what you’ll spend your millions on Smile

POAS urges and I'm only 7dpo.
This is going to be a tough week...

All this talk of monitoring our RHRs made me get the Fitbit out but then I felt bad for eating a double chocolate cookie when I hadn’t even managed 10000 steps today. I’m also noticing possible symptoms that are probably normal / fabrications of my over active mind. Ttc defo sends me a bit loopy. I was feeling positive earlier with a couple of possible symptoms but then I rationalise with myself. I sort of remember not really feeling anything special last time and I didn’t get my positive test until 11dpo but it was a strong line. I’d actually resisted testing that month lol

Hareshoping, is the boiler fixed yet? How are you managing?! At least the weather warmed up a tiny bit these last few days.

xRRx I’m right there with you resisting the urge to poas. I think I’ll be able to hold out until I’m 9dpo. So Sunday... possibly.

Bee44 I think we’re roughly at the same dpo? So you didn’t use opks this month? I rely on them now. That and and I use my fitbit app to track my cycles and symptoms like cm or cramps. What’s weird is last time before my first was born I had a couple rounds of iui and the doctors are not as precise as we try to be. I guess it’s not an exact science. If only.

@Jaymar it is totally like buying a lottery ticket! What a lovely way to think about it ❤️

@xRRx stay strong girl you can do this! One day at a time.

@WonderCity god I barely manage about 2000 steps these days! I end up going up and down the hallway 😂 have been trying to get out more and the milder weather will def help. Still no boiler but we are hoping we'll get a new one sorted today 🤞🏻

Okay so last night I woke up after three vivid dreams. One involved a building exploding with pink and blue pool noodle type things, and in another I started drinking a glass of wine and randomly having a cigarette and then told my friend I couldn't because I thought I was pregnant. I don't tend to dream much at the minute in lockdown, but this change could potentially be down to the fact I'm having to sleep with three duvets on so different to normal 😂 but three in one night is quite strange. Not had them all week that I can remember either and been sleeping with lots of blankets etc all that time.

Yes nice way to think of it and at least getting pregnant is way way more likely than winning the lottery.

8dpo today, on the home straight now. Just need to keep busy next few days, might try and keep away from MN as it triggers POAS urges!

Have a nice weekend ladies x

Hi ladies, 1st cycle here trying for our second. Took 2 years the first time around and we're taking a relaxed approach* this time as the toddler tempers the baby crazy!

*In theory we are taking a relaxed approach, in reality I'm seeking out TWW boards and symptom checking like crazy haha.

Also testing 26/27th. If I'll last that long before POAS!

WrongendoftheSTIX · 19/02/2021 09:58

Hi @Trixlrl welcome.

@HaresHoping I'm also having really vivid dreams. I never usually remember my dreams. I always thought it was because I was so tired, I just passed out! Perhaps, I have been getting more sleep which is why I remember them or maybe it's a symptom...
My temp dropped a bit today but I didn't get a huge amount of sleep so trying not to worry too much about it. Not due on until Sat 27th trying to test at all before then as it's so unlikely for us.

@WonderCity yes roughly I think! I think I'll use OPK's next month - starting to worry that I got my ovulation day wrong by a day or so 😬 we'll see! I tried to stay away from OPK's as I only came off the pill in January after 13 years so thought it'd take my body months to get into a cycle again (I was wrong!) My cycles only seem to be 23days though so again I'm worrying that this may cause issues.

Enjoy a nice relaxing weekend @xRRx see you soon ☺️

@TrixIrl welcome! There's a few of us testing around then (if I can wait that long... have a strong urge to do it this Sunday at 10dpo which I know is mad. It's my first time here so I'll calm down I'm sure 😂)

@WrongendoftheSTIX that could be it for me too with the dreams! My temp has dropped v slightly too last couple of days. I would attach a pic of my chart but I can't seem to do that any more for some reason.

My RHR has gone up again today, sitting at 70 now up from 61 on Monday. Really hope it's a good sign.

How is everyone else today?

@HaresHoping
It's our wedding anniversary on Sunday so also extremely tempted. Very nauseous this evening which is mostly definitely psycho-somatic.
Have also had the mad vivid dreams. Eugh I hate this, I wish I could be one of those women who find out their pregnant cos their period was late!! Grin

Ahh happy anniversary @TrixIrl for Sunday!

Welcome @Coffeemum1 you'll have good company here! ☺️

I'm going to take myself off for a couple of days ladies, driving myself a bit mad with the symptom spotting and DH advised I need to 'take a chill' last night when I suggested doing a test on Sunday 😂 so going to stay off MN for a bit to calm down and recharge. Have lovely weekends all ☺️

Hey @xRRx (I seem to have lost access to my account 🙄 it's HaresHoping!)

I think I might be able to see something but I'm really not sure. Have you tried inverting the image? Can you see it better in person maybe?

I caved and did a test yesterday, BFN. I knew it was too early but I just needed to check for peace of mind. Will try to hold out until Saturday now. RHR still going up which I'm taking as a good sign, boobs a bit sore now too.

Hope everyone okay! ☺️

@HopingHare that would be a coincidence if someone else had a similar name!
I don't blame you for caving in, but it's still early days and symptoms sound good.

I know I should just wait a couple of days, I have inverted too and looks just as uncertain. I'll try again tomorrow 😂

xRRx I see something there. Will you test again in 2 days?

I also caved and did a test this morning bfn. I’m only 9dpo though so I’m still going with the positive attitude. I convinced myself to do it because of all these possible symptoms I’m having but in reality the egg may not have implanted yet and so that would all be nonsense lol. I’ll try again Tuesday. Or tomorrow... I have some cheap tests to burn through...

@WonderCity
I think I'll try again tomorrow morning. I also have loads of ICs so not feeling too guilty

I have to admit I did one yesterday morning at 9dpo and not even a hint of a line

It's still all early days, and we definitely won't get anything definitive for a few days, but if you have ICs to burn then pee away!
