@sunflowersaremyfav93 I'm not sure if I had symptoms or not before. I remember sneezing and feeling ligament pain which I've only ever had when pregnant though. That was at 10DPO which was the day I found out. And I think I had a sore nose/felt like I had a cold coming on but that could have been coincidence.

The actual definite pregnancy symptoms like bloating didn't start until a few days after missing AF. Boobs started getting noticeably sore a few days after that. The nausea didn't start for me until just before 6 weeks pregnant.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 10/03/2021 18:58

Thanks ladies - it's just crap isn't it when you want something so much. We did it at the right time so why didn't it work? I know that's not how it works it takes time etc etc but it just feels a bit disappointing doesn't it.
I did a FRER at 4:30pm, I hadn't been for a wee since midday so think it was pretty good urine and got nothing so I am officially waiting for AF. If she doesn't arrive that would be marvellous but I'm wanting the next cycle to start now. 😩 @Curiosity101@CookieMonster3001

Hi ladies. Hope all is going well with ye. @sunflowersaremyfav93 I wish you well in the coming days. Fingers crossed for you.

So probably not posting in the right place as its not a trying to conceive issue but my hubby told me Monday he wanted to chat about some thoughts he was having about a possible 3rd baby. Que sinking feeling. He didn't get a chance to share them with me until last night. Let's just say I knew what was coming. He's not sure about it for a number of reasons, 1. I don't do well with lack of sleep and tend to go a bit crazy for the 1st while 2, apparently (he never mentioned anything before) that my 2nd pregnancy took it out of me. Not exactly sure what it did to me as I walked 5k the day after I came home from hospital and had both our kids without so much as a stitch but im now 5 years older so it would be much harder this time. I might be 36 but can run 10k and do at least 10000 steps every day so I don't think there's much wrong with me 3, we are happy now and it'll be 4 to 5 years when we settle again and we'll be in our 40s then...I didnt answer him at all as I wasn't sure what to say! But I am heart broken. He doesn't want a baby and I think rather than saying that he is pushing it back on me. My mam mentioned this evening my cousin is pregnant with her 5th child and I'm thinking its not fair. So not sure what's going to happen now but I just needed to share this with someone.

Curiosity101 · 10/03/2021 21:07

@sunflowersaremyfav93 Fingers crossed for you but I agree that if the FRER is negative after a 4 hour hold then it's probably accurate. TTC can be very frustrating, always try to have in mind that anything up to 6 months is average and anything up to 12 months is totally normal.

@princesscallie I'm sorry to see your update, I came to the same conclusion as you with what you've described. It sounds like your husband doesn't want a 3rd child, but he's putting it on you rather than being completely honest. I can imagine that's very frustrating but at least he's (somewhat) made his feelings known, even if he's not being honest about exactly why he doesn't want a third.

Wowthisisreal · 11/03/2021 06:20

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I think we ovulated know the same day. Currently holding in my FMU trying to decide whether to take a test or wait.

Really don't want to see a negative so feel I would rather wait for AF to come. But also know I will be sad when it does and I've got a feeling it will come on Mother's Day which will be tough.

I think because AF was a bit late last time it gave me false hope so I just don't want that again, but also not ready to give up hope this time.

Ah!! TTC is such a mind f* it's 12 days DPO and I'm on CD 29.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 11/03/2021 07:23

Thank you @princesscallie. How are you? That's a hard conversation to have especially as you want more, gosh it's so hard isn't it. Have you spoken about it since? Is there def no wiggle room? I don't think how you cope with pregnancy can be a reason.... I'm sure it's bloody hard so you're within your rights to be tired or whatever.

@Curiosity101 Yeah im officially out, FMU 11or 12 dpo and nothing so bring on AF. I think I was wayyy too stressed and high pressure about it I probably need to relax a hell of a lot more.

@Wowthisisreal exact same as me im CD30 I ovulated CD17 this month though, it really is a kind f&#k :(

@sunflowersaremyfav93 Sorry to hear that 🤞 for your next cycle. I think it's only around a 25% chance of conceiving each cycle so if you can definitely do try to let the pressure off. TTC is often a marathon, not a sprint. I think me and DH DTD around every other day or so, until AF/a positive test. You shouldn't need to do it every day to be in with a chance, and I remember you saying that after a full week of DTD every day you were both quite tired and it started feeling a bit 'functional'?

Wowthisisreal · 11/03/2021 07:51

@sunflowersaremyfav93 do you feel better for testing?

I 'collected' by FMU so now I just need to decide whether to test.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 11/03/2021 08:01

How many cycles did it take you @Curiosity101? I know it different for everyone but curious to know how long it takes people generally. Yeah we stupidly went for it everyday and in the end we were just like this isn't enjoyable and we're tired so next cycle I'm thinking of not even using OPKs and just trusting my body - cramps and EWCM.

@Wowthisisreal if you've got a FRER you'd know using FMU - I think go for it. Fingers crossed for you!

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I think that's why I am nervous. I can't work out if I want to know it's a no today. My assumption is that it's a no.

Curiosity101 · 11/03/2021 08:47

@sunflowersaremyfav93 Like you said everyone is different. When we set out to TTC I had 6 months minimum in my head and so every time I tested I was basically sure it'd be negative. However we were unusually lucky and conceived DS second cycle (no OPKs etc) and this one was first cycle (OPKs only used to pin point ovulation so I knew when I could test).

Kayeyeem · 11/03/2021 16:25

@sunflowersaremyfav93 Sorry it wasn't the result you were after. Fingers crossed for next cycle. It really is pot luck which sucks. It took 4 cycles to conceive my 1st, just over 18 cycles to conceive my 2nd and just 2 cycles with this one and I didn't do anything different with any of them 🤷🏽‍♀️
@princesscallie oh wow that's definitely a sit down and have a deep conversation situation. Is he just scared of change and of how he's going to cope? I hope you can resolve this.
@Wowthisisreal fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼

velam · 12/03/2021 10:03

@sunflowersaremyfav93 it took us 9 cycles at the end I was so worried and desperate. But finally we got here. Give yourself time

Wowthisisreal · 13/03/2021 07:21

Hi all, held out testing until today and we got a BFP... 🥳😁

Line was lighter than I thought it would be so DH got two more tests and both came back positive so 🤞🏻. Only 'symptom' I've had so far is nipples that stick out more than normal and are quite sensitive - and I lost weight this week (not normal for me the week I'm due on). Also needed to pee constantly for the past 2 days.

Curiosity101 · 13/03/2021 07:39

@Wowthisisreal Congratulations!

NewbieB · 13/03/2021 07:39

@Wowthisisreal omg congrats!! How exciting- it’s the best feeling isn’t it!

Wowthisisreal · 13/03/2021 07:59

It's the best feeling!! I can't believe it.

But now it's all coming back to me how worried I was for the entire 12 weeks before the scan! It was a relief to see the digital with 1-2 and if anything the clear blue + is stronger than the || on the FRER. So it's calmed me down a little.

But yay!!

Curiosity101 · 13/03/2021 08:10

@Wowthisisreal Haha yep. I wasn't anywhere near as worried in the early days with my first as I was with this one. I'm 14 weeks today and just did my bump pic, I'm now looking at my bump picture thinking 'hmm, I don't look much bigger this week' 🙈. We've got a gender scan 2 weeks on Monday and I can't wait to check everything is ok still. I also can't wait to start feeling regular movements. 😅 Maybe then I'll relax a bit?

CookieMonster3001 · 13/03/2021 08:45

@Wowthisisreal congratulations that amazing news!!! Totally get it!! Im just gone 6w and constantly worrying and i still got another 6w to go!! Gonna be a long slog lol. We have our private scan next wkend though so looking forward to that.

CookieMonster3001 · 13/03/2021 08:49

@sunflowersaremyfav93 im so sorry about the BFN its frustrating isnt it when you want something so much, and especially for us when wev been planning since ohh last July??? If it helps our first pregnancy before we lost is was cycle 3 and this one was cycle 2 (after mc) and cycle 5 (in total). As annoying as it is, it can take 6 months to a year for it to happen, but im keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you for ur next cycle xxx

Wowthisisreal · 15/03/2021 10:54

@CookieMonster3001 do you have many symptoms?

CookieMonster3001 · 15/03/2021 11:54

@Wowthisisreal ermmm my boobs hurt at the end of the day when i take my bra off. My OH actually commented on how my nipples are constantly erect and they have been ever since around 9DPO. Morning sickness kicked in last week, no vomitting but getting very queezy every now and then and usually goes away if I have something to eat. Everything still tastes okay when I eat but before I eat, nothing really sounds appealing to me. I am getting a lot of aches and pains (assuming its the growing and stretching), Ive noticed if I sit with my feet up on the sofa for too long, I almost feel like I am squashing my crotch and have to stretch out. Other than that, just a feeling of general tiredness. I didnt really have any symptoms until around 5 and half weeks to 6 weeks.

Wowthisisreal · 15/03/2021 11:56

That's reassuring to hear @CookieMonster3001. I've also had erect nipples but no tenderness, but LOTS of aches and pains which I don't remember last time. I'm trying to remember when the feeling of exhaustion and nausea kicked in with #1.

I've got more tests coming on prime so I can see progression.

NewbieB · 15/03/2021 14:45

@sunflowersaremyfav93 hope you Are feeling ok xxx

@Wowthisisreal my sore boobs only kicked in after a couple of weeks

@CookieMonster3001 i’ve also got the erect nipples and sore boobs thing, on and off nausea and bloating etc.

I had a scan today because of the spotting (measured at 6W 1 day) and all looks fine and saw the heartbeat! Was amazing. So hoping all will be fine. 🙏 xx

CookieMonster3001 · 15/03/2021 15:36

@NewbieB ahh thats fantastic! I have mine on Sunday, should be 7+3. Petrified im gonna get there and they are going to say nothing is there!
