@SendmetoFlorida so sorry, have your favourite drink and junk food tonight. Finger crossed next cycle is your cycle

princesscallie · 04/03/2021 22:28

Woop woop AF finally arrived this evening. I'm delighted! However now I'm not sure if I should bother tracking my cycle using any apps or if I should just go with what my body tells me. Will probably use OPKs tho but not sure when I should start now? This was a 35 day cycle which is very unusual for me. Does anyone have any tips?

@SendmetoFlorida sorry to hear that! Be kind to yourself.

SendmetoFlorida · 04/03/2021 22:37

Thanks @velam and @princesscallie
We've decided we're going to stop TTC now until the summer - we're getting married in July (postponed from last year) and we were feeling unsure about whether it would go ahead so hopped on baby train instead and we were gonna postpone again if we got pregnant. But fingers crossed all looks good for July now.
It was a tense 2WW after Boris announcement because it was either baby or wedding. The world clearly wants us to get married first 😂
Best of luck with all your baby journeys ladies! I will keep an eye out on here to see what's happening and then will be back with torturous 2WW's again later this year! 🙈

Curiosity101 · 05/03/2021 06:46

@princesscallie I probably wouldn't use apps if you're not regular. I'd definitely follow a combination of your body and OPKs. In terms of when to start testing, I'd probably recommend CD10 onwards if you're using the cheapie strips. Personally as someone who had relatively irregular cycles I like OPKs because it told me when I'd ovulated so I knew exactly when to test and when to expect AF. I'd really struggle with the whole "Am I late or not" thing.

Good luck 🤞

@SendmetoFlorida I'm sure we'll see you again. Have a wonderful wedding. I feel so hopeful that things will be back to normal by July ☺️

princesscallie · 05/03/2021 08:06

@Curiosity101 that's the thing my cycle was regular up until December! And then my period was 3 days early in Jan and 5 days late this month. But if you average them they were the same Smile so im hoping this month I'll go back to normal. I also think I need to be a bit more relaxed about the whole thing as I'm stressing myself out over it. I'm back to work now so I do have other things to think about so that should help. I know I'm definitely puttin more pressure on myself with the whole thing than I did on my last 2 so just need to chill and enjoy it more. Suppose my age concerns me and also we are only going to try for a few months and if nothing happened we will knock it on the head.. so I prob have until Sept. So I need to just try put all that out of my mind and see how things go. I was going to use the clearblue ones but at 35e a packet in my local Tesco I won't be keeping that up for very long. Smile but will see how things go with month..and try go with the flow! Maybe run some more.

@SendmetoFlorida best of luck with the wedding plans. Hope all works out for you.

velam · 05/03/2021 09:26

@SendmetoFlorida how exciting, have an amazing wedding

surreychick · 05/03/2021 21:21

Hi all

Been quiet on here as have been having various tests - looks like IVF is now our only option.

Is any taking Inofolic Alpha? My dr recommended it to me to help with PCOS symptoms. It’s too early to see if it’s helping.

I am also now over a week late - have had all the symptoms of AF but nothing has ‘arrived’?! I’ve done three pregnancy tests and all negative. I’ve never missed a period before.

Hope all your journeys are going well and moving forward smile

princesscallie · 06/03/2021 08:35

@surreychick that sounds promising but I was 5 days late this month and all my tests were negative and then my period arrived. I haven't had a late period in years so I've no idea what happened this month.

I hope your story turns out better. Fingers crossed for you! X

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 07/03/2021 09:49

Hi ladies - just did a test at 8/9dpo not using FMU and off was a BFN. Can somebody tell me it's too early and I'm still in with a chance?

OP posts:
NewbieB · 07/03/2021 10:27

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I got negatives until 10 DPO so not over yet!

Curiosity101 · 07/03/2021 10:43

@sunflowersaremyfav93 Definitely could be too early, especially as not with FMU. I'd recommend Tuesday with FMU and a FRER for a result you can feel confident about.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 07/03/2021 13:56

Thanks ladies!! Will hold out a few more days, I planned to test Friday so I'll see if I can make it.

Good Morning Ladies,

Hope you are all well! I thought I would pop on and see how everyone is doing.

@kayeyeem Happy Belated birthday! Hope you are feeling a bit better this week! Ahh totally get your frustration! Feel like the time is dragging as well!

@gem05 aww lovely so nice that you got to see little bean! I will be booking in an early reassurance scan soon too!

@velam glad to hear your baby is doing just fine and that bleeding has stopped.

@sendmetoFlorida sorry to hear AF arrived!! Ahh how exciting about getting married in July! Fingers crossed that it goes ahead and everything opens up as planned!

@princesscallie ahh glad AF showed up and you can crack on with next cycle now! Maybe see how your body feels for the first month and if no luck then use the OPKS? I suppose it depends on how confortable you feel following your body instincts. I never used to get EWCM so I would have flopped at knowing when I ovulate naturally apart from ovulation pains!

@surreychick Not sure about the inofolic alpha I am afraid, but it does sound promising that you are a week late! Fingers crossed its positive news.

@sunflowersaremyfav93 you are defo still in with a chance. 8/9DPO is defo very early! I didnt get a positive till 10DPO this round and even then it was like the faintest of faint lines on a cheapie! Fingers crossed for you.

How are you doing @mackjm20 you have been very quiet! Hope you are all well.

Little update from me: I am officially further gone than I was last time when I miscarried, which makes me feel a bit better although I am still super anxious! Constantly knickerchecking and analysing my symptoms, but I am trying my best to relax a little. Got my 3+ on CB digi on Saturday which was a huge relief. Last time I got a 1-2 and thats when I knew I was miscarrying. I was so nervous I had to get OH to look for me! We should be coming up to 6w on Thursday although based on ovulation I should be 6w today. We are booking in a private scan for next Saturday where I will be 7+2 (based on LMP). Sooo nervous!!! Symptoms wise, boobs have defo got bigger and ache every now and then. The pain seems to be different all the time, but after a day of wearing a bra, they are usually so sore in the evening! Morning sickness I think is also slowly creeping in! I have a constant dull pukey feeling in my throat and kinda just feels like I am hungover! I am pretty tired, cant really be arsed to do much and I am eating a lot more than before lol. Oh and I am soo gassy all the time still. Joy!

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 08/03/2021 10:18

Awww @CookieMonster3001 I'm so happy for you!! Let us know how your scan goes... I can't wait for some morning sickness and all the lovely stuff that comes along with it. Never felt so impatient in my life!!
I'm hoping I'm still in with a chance, I have no aunties other than feeling super emotional!! I got my static smiley Friday 26 Feb so how many dpo would you say I am? I don't even know anymore.. will try to hold off until Thursday/ Friday to test with FMU.

OP posts:
CookieMonster3001 · 08/03/2021 10:34

@sunflowersaremyfav93 id say you are 9DPO today. Defo try and wait until the end of this week as you will be around 13DPO and you should have a defo yes/no! Keeping my fingers tightly crossed for you hun!!!

Just booked my scan in for next Saturday!! Eeek!! Will let you know how it goes!

Curiosity101 · 08/03/2021 11:26

@CookieMonster3001 Great news. Glad everything seems to be progressing perfectly 😊. Hungover is exactly how I (and lots of people I spoke to) described morning sickness so it's likely that is what you're feeling! 😁 Hope you don't get it too bad.

@sunflowersaremyfav93 🤞 Fingers crossed for you, absolutely agree that the longer you can wait the better. It'll mean you can really trust the result. I have 0 patience though so definitely wouldn't take my own advice and would be POAS every morning 🤣.

I booked a gender scan for 29th March. 3 weeks today ☺️ I'm very excited to find out. But equally can't quite understand how I'm already over 13 weeks. 🙉 I guess being so busy helps.

How does everyone feel about lockdown changing? It'll not be too long till we're actually allowed to see people properly. I can't wait to take DS to see his grandparents so they can see how much he's changed.

velam · 08/03/2021 11:26

@CookieMonster3001 thank you. How exciting for your scan. I wanted to go for another scan too but my husband says no need which he is right as we will have 10 weeks scan for genetic test. Let us know how it goes with your scan.

NewbieB · 08/03/2021 14:08

@sunflowersaremyfav93 I had a faint BFP on 10 DPO but then went and got some Early testing which came back very clearly positive. (Day before tested negative). Good luck!

@CookieMonster3001 all sounds positive. Sounds like we are almost the same- i’m 5 weeks, 3 days now.

Update from me:

Bleeding/old blood stopped after a few days so putting in down to implantation bleeding. Waited 10 days and then Got 3+ on digital CB yesterday. Have the odd bout of nausea in middle of night, sore nipples, constipation and trapped gas. I’m actually grateful of any symptoms as it reassures me. Will test again next week and hopefully book first midwife booking appointment. Trying to remain chilled and not stress about everything. Xx

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 08/03/2021 19:42

Thanks ladies, this morning I was thinking ok I can wait until Friday, at lunchtime I thought no test Thursday and now I'm thinking oh I want to test tomorrow... I don't feel anything other than tired and emotional which is same as period type symptoms. It's so hard when you want something so bad!

OP posts:
Kayeyeem · 09/03/2021 10:10

Argh I just spent ages writing a reply to all of you individually and then clicked the wrong thing and it disappeared! 🤬😭🙈 I'm sorry I'm not doing it all again so congratulations, commiserations and well done to all of you 🙈😂 hope you're all doing ok?

A little update from me. I'm 6 weeks today and I'm absolutely shattered 🥱 I have permanent bad headaches (trying to avoid taking paracetamol everyday but it's hard), I'm starving hungry all the time so I've already gained 5lbs 🙈 my boobs have definitely gotten bigger and are sore and I'm feeling nauseous on and off, usually when I haven't eaten for awhile. I'm going to try ringing the midwives clinic later to get a booking in appointment booked, once I have that first appointment booked it will seem all the more real.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 09/03/2021 13:29

Just felt like I wanted to test and see if anything came up... all I had was a CB digital test.
10dpo and not FMU I got a not pregnant... you think I can safely say I'm out?
Feeling so gutted 😞

OP posts:
Curiosity101 · 09/03/2021 14:01

@sunflowersaremyfav93 At 10DPO with a digital and not FMU I don't think you can be sure you're out yet. If you'd said FMU and FRER then yes I'd agree you should expect AF.

sunflowersaremyfav93 · 09/03/2021 14:04

Thanks @Curiosity101 I shouldn't have tested really, was a bit silly. I have some FRER coming tomorrow so will test with FMU Thursday or Friday morning.

OP posts:
sunflowersaremyfav93 · 10/03/2021 11:40

I'm such an idiot I ordered what I thought were FRER but where actually FR Rapid Response which you don't use until first day of missed period. I feel like the universe is telling me not to test and wait until AF.

Did anyone here nor get any symptoms? I don't feel anything other than my mood is all over the place, before AF I shall get easily frustrated and short with my darling OH or my Mum and Dad but atm I just feel like I could cry at anything.

I also have frequent need to do number 2 today, feel a little bit of nausea and I can't actually work out if my nipples are feeling sensitive or whether I'm making that up in my mind.

I'm either go to cave and pop to the pharmacy at lunch and see if they have any FRER or I am waiting until Saturday morning.

OP posts:
CookieMonster3001 · 10/03/2021 15:05

@sunflowersaremyfav93 wait wait wait!! I didnt have massive amounts of symptoms before mine tbh! Apart from i couldnt walk as fast as normal (never noticed until after) and i had a bloody taste in my mouth for a couple of days. No cramping, no nausea, no boob pain out of the ordinary! Just try and wait till Friday if you can! Xx
