Little update from me. I'm 6+6 today and I seem to feel nauseous in the mornings and occasionally in the evenings too. I'm very tired all the time but can not sleep very well lol and I'm still getting bad headaches. My clothes are starting to feeling tight now too.
Waiting for a call from the midwives to arrange my booking appointment then it will seem so much more real!

Hey everyone- I took a break from this board after AF flow arrived last month- I was so disappointed I was convinced I was pregnant! I'm currently 2DPO and now I've had my first proper period since the pill and we DTD the day of peak and the day after so I'm hoping itl happen this month! Just had my second COVID jab so I'm hoping that dosent interfere with anything!

Wishing you all the best @Arrierttyclock! I did the same and it helped a lot... I'm still not ready to join the pregnancy boards.

Took another test last night and line is much stronger which is a relief as only been 3 days and wasn't FMU. Also took a dating one which put me at 2-3, which helped as well.

The cramps and twinges are something else! Never had this before but I keep reading it Is normal and I guess for #2 my body knows what it is doing and is just getting ready 🤞🏻

Hi all thought I would drop in with an update, this morning I woke up with bad pain around lower abdomen and went to bathroom ended up lying on the floor in quite a bit of pain I thought what the heck is going on then I was sweating all over and felt really cold! It subsided and I’ve been feeling really nauseous since and my dh said what if u r pregnant? so I just did 2x pregnancy tests and got a positive result for both!

Does the pain bit sound normal I presume not? I’ve not been pregnant before. I rang the doctors and they told me to contact the antenatal team at the local hospital so I did a form online and now wait for an appointment. Is this how it works sorry I’m clueless and all over the place!

@Potterurotter that was the process for me! We pain, I've had some cramps that have taken my breath away and I've read that's normal.

@Potterurotter it's normal to refer yourself when you find out you're pregnant, which is what you've done. But did your GP mean that? Or was your GP worried and wanting you to refer to the early pregnancy unit (EPU) to get checked out because of your symptoms?

If you Google 'Community midwives ' you should hopefully find a direct phone number for your community midwives. They normally operate from a local GP surgery or similar. If you can get hold of one of them to explain what's happened and see what their advice is then that could be helpful.

Having said that if your pain was generic lower abdomen / period cramp type pain then that can be very normal in pregnancy. As is cold sweats ( particularly prior to being sick) and nausea. So I wouldn't be overly worried based on what you've described, but that doesn't mean double checking with a midwife/EPU doctor would be a bad idea.

@MashaPotato welcome. I can totally relate to the disappointment and the cycle being all over the place. We are cycle 7 now and the positive gets a little less each time. For me personally I have been trying to refocus my obsession on weight loss and exercise so that it’s something else positive to get good results with :) the amazing thing about this group is being able to share these things when like you said no one else knows

@velam how are you doing now :) has the bleeding stopped? Glad to hear from your Epu appointment that everything is going well

@sunflowersaremyfav93 sounds like you have been doing everything right :) aw bless you totally hear you on the pregnancy announcements like happy for people but sad for yourself. Sounds like you have had a bit of a nightmare catching your peak which has been me the last couple of months it’s so frustrating. Re the vaccine I had mine earlier this month as high risk. What are your thoughts? Bless you about having to tell your mil- sometimes it feels so much pressure doesn’t it!

So little update from me- my cycle has just decided to go on a mad one and is just beyond unpredictable each month now which has really got me down after being so consistent for so long. I think it’s a combination of stress and weight loss.

Last month I didn’t ovulate at all and just thought right I need to just step back for a few weeks.

So this month was my birthday and all the pressure of turning 30 and not being pregnant yet just rained upon me which has been a lot as I am usually SO positive. So have just stopped looking at anything ttc to get myself back happy again :)

Anyway I’ve snapped out of my funk now. We got a peek on 17 March and dtd before and after will see how it goes. 4dpo today.

I’m in a place where I’ve been thinking should we just stop ttc until I hit my weight loss goal which fingers crossed should be June so that is eliminated from the equation. But I think we are going to keep trying and if it happens before then amazing but if it doesn’t then In sept we will be able to go to the dr as will have been 12 months ttc. Dh is redundant after April aswell and hasn’t found a job yet which is in the back of my mind too.

It’s crazy as we waited so long to start ttc and then when we did in sept it’s been one thing after another since then lol! But just tying to get out of my head and think when it happens it happens- although that is the hardest thing ever as we all know :)

Anyway I’m trying to reclaim my positive mindset and hoping it happens soon :) In the bigger picture 7 months isn’t that long it just feels like a lifetime x

Little update from me, sorry I have been so absent, but ive needed to step away from all forums and stuff for my mental health. Theres so many posts about pregnancy loss that it really doesnt help my anxiety! Also ive been pretty sick most days which is fun. But we did go for our scan yesterday and got to see our little jelly baby. Got a nice strong heartbeat and its looking good so far. They pushed me forward to 8 weeks which is what I was expecting from ovulation. Only another 4 weeks till my nhs scan and hoping the morning sickness will start easing up soon!

Ah that’s amazing that little one has such a strong heartbeat :) I am honestly wishing you so much health and happiness in your journey :) 8 weeks is so positive :) sorry to hear you have been so sick I really hope that settles soon xxx

@mackjm20 thanks for your comments and feeling ok thanks- nausea on and off, sore boobs and other things but ok. Looking forward to 12 week scan and trying to remain positive eventhough i’m a worrier.

@mackjm20 Sorry to hear you've had a rough time of things. I can imagine it'd be pretty stressful and frustrating given what you've described. I have everything crossed for you for this cycle, but also in general as I hope things even out soon and your DH finds a new job. 🤞🤞
