@susiebluebell In some ways it was nice when it was unexpected because we had no choice so didn’t have all this panic of thinking about being ready etc. Confused
I’m sure as soon as we get to see / hold our little ones the doubts will be gone and we’ll know it was worth it ❤️

Loulou237 · 25/04/2021 08:11

@bubblybrit I’m out, AF has shown her witch face. Angry Oh well at least I know my cycle is back to normal!

SamBass · 25/04/2021 10:17

@Loulou237 really sorry AF has shown her face! Fingers crossed for you next round!

Im looking for some advice please. Tomorrow i will be 6 weeks from surgical management, i was 9 weeks but confirmed heart beat stopped at 8 weeks. I still haven't had sight of AF and for the past week and half I've been suffering with really bad pains which have got progressively worse the last two days have been horrendous. Its not like cramping as such more of a constant ache/sharpe pains. Has anyone experienced this so long after without AF showing its face??

I have blood test tomorrow to check HCG levels following a negative test on an Asda pregnancy 3 weeks after surgery and a faint positive on FRER this week (Monday). I tested again with FRER on Thursday and it was faint positive again but no darker.

With the pains for almost two weeks now and no AF i'm concerned about retained products 🤷🏽‍♀️😞

bubblybrit · 25/04/2021 10:32

Ah I’m sorry AF has arrived @Loulou237. Good to know what your cycles are back on track though. Fingers crossed for next month. I’ve not actually tested yet. I didn’t get a peak on opk this month so no idea when (or even if I ovulated) so decided to wait to see if AF is really late before testing! I’ve ordered a FRER but it’s not due to arrive until early Tuesday/Wednesday so will test then if AF hasn’t arrived. Currently CD36 which is really unusual but trying to not get my hopes up in case I just ovulated later than normal x

Loulou237 · 25/04/2021 10:33

@SamBass so sorry you’re going through this. Sounds so painful. I had a d&c about 5 weeks ago and had some pretty bad cramps before AF showed as I think everything is still a bit raw and needs to heal. I’m just guessing that though. From the pregnancy test results fingers crossed it’s a new pregnancy settling in. Hope you find out more tomorrow and sorry I can’t be of more help! Xx

Loulou237 · 25/04/2021 10:47

@bubblybrit that sounds really promising, have you had any more symptoms that are unusual? Fingers crossed for you! Xxx

bubblybrit · 25/04/2021 10:53

@Loulou237. I’ve had cramps on and off for almost one week. Plus I’ve been peeing about 10-15 times a day. If I’m not pregnant then I think I’ll need checked for a UTI! My boobs are a little tender but not overly so. Guess I’ll just need to wait and see. Think I’ll be quite disappointed if I test negative again though as being late has made me feel more positive than in previous month where AF has arrived bang on time xx

Loulou237 · 25/04/2021 11:22

Oooh that does sound promising and if AF is that late too! Well done for holding out to test and good luck. Let me know how you get on xx

gizmo167 · 25/04/2021 12:30

@Loulou237 sorry the witch showed, good your cycles are on track again, fc next one!

@bubblybrit that does all sound positive hun!

@SamBass aw hun been thinking of you, my first cycles after mc were really different & longer but still after your faint positive i don't know! Hope the tests go well!

Cd35 for me & ic are as dark now as the test line, still bit if cramping, nausea, boobs killing me now but both my mc's ended at the 6 week mark so this next week is going to be hell!

Loulou237 · 25/04/2021 12:47

Fingers crossed for you @gizmo167, remember the odds are in your favour even after two losses! Have you thought of maybe calling your doctor and asking about aspirin or progesterone? I know they sometimes prescribe it even if the reason is unknown and it can’t hurt! Xx

bubblybrit · 25/04/2021 13:18

Yes I’ll keep you updated @Loulou237. No tests in the house so will need to wait until my FRER arrives xx

@gizmo167. Yeah I hope I get my BFP but don’t want to build my hopes up too much. Keep checking when I wipe after going to the toilet but nothing and I’ve had little to no cramps today. How are things with you? Xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 25/04/2021 15:19

@Loulou237 sorry af showed for you 🙁

@SamBass I would definitely speak to your doc about retained tissue, I did have a lot of cramps and pains during and after my mc which lasted around 2-3 weeks but it could still be a new pg hopefully you'll know once you've seen a doctor tomorrow.

@bubblybrit I'd be tempted to go out and buy a test lol I'm good at not testing before af but once it's due that's it lol

@gizmo167 all good signs for you so far, I know it's easier to say than do but definitely try and relax and distract yourself if you can!

bubblybrit · 25/04/2021 15:29

@Marvellouslymadmum. I am tempted but trying to hold off as would rather see a delayed AF than a BFN! X

Marvellouslymadmum · 25/04/2021 15:48

@bubblybrit I know exactly what you mean! I've held out some month but depends on my mood lol

bubblybrit · 25/04/2021 16:05

@Marvellouslymadmum. I’m struggling a little this month as have almost convinced myself that I’m pregnant when I know the reality is that it’s equally likely to just be a longer cycle. The waiting is keeping the hope alive but I’m not necessarily sure it’s a good thing x

gizmo167 · 25/04/2021 16:30

@bubblybrit I was exactly the same last cycle, first after the last mc, I didnt want to test because it kept the hope alive, I didnt have any of the symptoms you do though so keeping everything crossed for you!

@Marvellouslymadmum thank you hun, yea I know, it will be impossible for me I just know though because I just have that 6 week mark in my head and even though the first mc cycle I started to bleed a couple days after my BFP last one I felt different and had a lot more hope but look how that ended! I know I should be more positive but I dont know how I will handle another loss!!! Fingers crossed though, at this point all seems fine!

Marvellouslymadmum · 25/04/2021 17:31

@bubblybrit that's exactly what I was like, one one of my really long cycles I was so convinced I must be pg at first then after 3bfn I just waited a week and a half then broke down and told my oh which didn't help cos he went out and got another test and was all excited 🤦🏼‍♀️ the symptoms or a very positive sign though! Have everything crossed for you! 🤞🏻

@gizmo167 I totally understand that I think I'll be the same if I ever see another bfp lol let's just hope everything goes well and it's your sticky bean baby x

bubblybrit · 25/04/2021 18:47

@gizmo167 @Marvellouslymadmum. I’ve started to get slightly stronger cramps now but nowhere near as strong as when AF is due. It’s such a minefield. If AF is on her way then I wish she’d just hurry up and put me out my misery! Can’t even sneak out to buy a test as DH is working late and my DD is already in bed. Aargh x

Marvellouslymadmum · 25/04/2021 19:11

@bubblybrit I hate it so much when half of me is happy and singing you could be pregnant you know! And the other half is saying don't be stupid, it's just af messing with your head - totally have a pic in my head right now of the old tom and Jerry cartoons where he has an angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other 😂😂

gizmo167 · 25/04/2021 19:16

@bubblybrit aw I know that feeling all too well, fc you get your answer soon & that its the best one!

I'm having a major wobble tonight, so anxious, I'm just so aware this is it for me, if this doesn't end well then I'm finished! Constantly symptom spotting, comparing each pregnancy, its doing my head in!

bubblybrit · 25/04/2021 19:35

That’s exactly how I feel @Marvellouslymadmum. It’s almost as if I’m two people right now! One that is happily planning a new addition to the family and one that is telling the other not to be so bloody stupid! Lol 😂 xx

@gizmo167. Guess the wait will be over in a few days. I’m sure that everything is absolutely fine as the odds are massively in your favour. Are you planning to have a reassurance scan or anything that could help with being anxious? X

Marvellouslymadmum · 25/04/2021 19:45

@bubblybrit at least we can laugh about it! But that's totally what it's like!

@gizmo167 that's a really good idea to book a reassurance scan if you can? You could try the docs and if they say no you can go private for around £60 -£80 totally worth it for the piece of mind

SamBass · 25/04/2021 19:51

@Marvellouslymadmum @gizmo167 @Loulou237
Thank you all fro replying 😊 bloods tomorrow so hopefully i will know more by Wednesday. I would expect pains and cramps etc but i they have got worse and its now 6 weeks since surgery. Hopefully they have just intensified because AF is on its way.... i doubt its a new pregnancy as the line never got darker and i have no other symptoms. Will let you know how i get on next week

justwant2beamum · 25/04/2021 20:02

@bubblybrit 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you.

I'm out, af arrived today early again so only 25 day cycle. I was always 28/29 days before mc.

bubblybrit · 25/04/2021 20:13

I think you sometimes need to laugh about these things @Marvellouslymadmum

Thank you @justwant2beamum. I’m sorry AF has arrived. Fingers crossed for you next month.
