@bubblybrit oh well done for leaving it! Yeah I’m due on today or tomorrow I think but been having cramps coming and going same as you. I have lots of symptoms but not sure if it’s just wishful thinking! I don’t have tests in the house so I’m going to try not to think about it and test after weekend if I can. Fingers crossed for you! Xx

bez91 · 23/04/2021 11:48

@bubblybrit @Loulou237 wishing you both luck for when you test! The symptom spotting stresses me out so so much so you're both doing well hanging in there.

Has anyone had low progesterone and estogen? I haven't got my telephone appointment for another 2 weeks with GP but wondering what to expect as that is what we're discussing. Will it be a referral straight to fertility or is the GP likely to prescribe me anything? I'm anticipating a referral will be a long wait so if I know what to expect it may inform our decision a little better on whether to go for some private investigations.

Hi @bez91 thanks for the good luck wishes! I don’t know about estrogen I’m afraid but I know that progesterone is treated quite often with pesseries so a doctor would be able to sort that quite easily I think?! I don’t have experience of it it’s just from reading all these threads really! Good luck with it all. Xx

Since deciding that we want to ttc, i keep having doubts about it, is that normal?? The pg that i just lost was not planned but we were happy about it and it made us realise how much we actually want a family. I have wanted this for years and always wanted children young (im 22) and my partner is finally in a good place in his life for children (he's 30), so we are both really happy about our decision. Its just that every so often i find myself panicking that im not sure im ready, and then it settles and im back to being happy/ excited, and then the next day ill panic again! is this normal or am i being weird?? i

gizmo167 · 23/04/2021 12:27

@bubblybrit & @Loulou237 keeping everything crossed for you both x

@Canadadarling its a big step hun so I wouldnt worry, you are young, its normal believe me!

CD33 for me today, did an IC this morning to check and line is almost as dark now as the control one, feeling quite nauseous which I am taking as a good sign, I didnt feel that with my last 2 mc's, boobs also now starting to hurt a bit but have a bit of backache today, really hoping this one is THE one!

SLCxxx · 23/04/2021 12:57

@gizmo167 congratulations lovely, my fingers and toes are crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻

bubblybrit · 23/04/2021 13:15

@Loulou237. I’ve got one test but I’ve hidden it at the back of a drawer so trying not to think about it. I’ve had cramps on and off all week which is so unusual for me but I’m trying not to over think it. Good luck when you do test x

@bez91. Thank you. If I have a FRER then I’d probably test today but the test I have isn’t as sensitive and think I’d be better waiting for fmu. I convene myself that every symptom is pregnancy related when I know they totally mirror AF! I hope you don’t need to wait too long for your referral x

Thank you @gizmo167. I’m so glad that things seem to be progressing positively for you. I think after you have a mc that you worry about absolutely everything but I’m sure this is a little sticky bean for you x

Canadadarling · 23/04/2021 13:26

@gizmo167 congratulations im sure everything will go well for you !

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/04/2021 17:24

@Canadadarling I would imagine it's just a bit of nerves, I had my two children at 24 & 26 and no regrets there!

@gizmo167 that great news so pleased for you!

@bez91 I'm not sure what they do for low oestrogen but I do know they can prescribe you progesterone, hopefully they'll get you seen quickly!

Canadadarling · 23/04/2021 18:00

@Marvellouslymadmum its so annoying as ive wanted this for as long as i can remember, and now we're finally deciding to try im getting scared! i think its definitely just nerves though like pre-wedding jitters and such. Hopefully they go away soon

bez91 · 23/04/2021 18:42

Thanks @Loulou237

@Marvellouslymadmum thank you really appreciate that, I wanted to be prepared after I've wait 5 weeks for a 5 minute telephone appointment so I don't hang up thinking I should have asked X,Y & Z

@Canadadarling I think as time is on your side and it wasn't originally in your plans to start TTC, you will probably enjoy it more if you don't label it as TTC and just go with the flow. I never EVER wanted to "try" if that makes sense 😆 DD came very easily 4 years ago but this time round it's so emotionally bloody draining after 2 MCs and a year of trying. Absolutely each to their own but god I wish I wasn't as hung up on it as I am, it quickly becomes all consuming 😊

OP posts:
Canadadarling · 23/04/2021 18:48

@bez91 that’s a good point, a lot of people say “it happens when you stop trying” and that it can be really stressful. Maybe it’s better to view it as not ttc but as non-preventative (if that makes sense) and then what will be will be!

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/04/2021 19:16

@Canadadarling I'm sure they will especially once you get your bfp you'll just be looking forward to it all. When I got pregnant with my teenagers, I literally just came off contraception and dtd that was it and was oh really quick with both so there's definitely something to be said for just relaxing, I don't have that luxury now though

@bez91 I always forget everything on the phone and remember afterwards 🤦🏼‍♀️

Canadadarling · 23/04/2021 19:31

As a side note... not sure if TMI but how long did people wait before DTD? It’s been 4 days since mc confirmed, the heavy bleeding stopped straight away but has been brown spotting since then. However when I was pg I completely lost my sex drive, and now it’s come back with a vengeance 😂 I was told to wait til AF to ttc but haven’t been told how long before DTD again!

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/04/2021 19:44

@Canadadarling after my first mc I waited for about 10 days to dtd and didn't ttc again straight away because that's what I wa stood but then found that was because it's easier to date a pregnancy if you have af between so on second mc I just ttc straight away once the bleeding is over and same for dtd

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/04/2021 19:45

*was told not wa stood 🤦🏼‍♀️

bez91 · 23/04/2021 20:02

@Canadadarling I don't do TMI 😆 you can DTD whenever you feel ready. I was a bit sensitive down there after my surgical procedure for my last MMC and bled for about 5 days but after that I was more up for it than DH. I think he thought I'd lost the plot, was emotionally unstable and needed to TTC 5 days after 🤦🏼‍♀️ it wasn't like that at all 😆

OP posts:
Canadadarling · 23/04/2021 20:22

@Marvellouslymadmum that’s good to know I should probably wait a bit longer then but thank god I don’t have to wait a month/ more

@bez91 luckily (I guess?) mine happened naturally so physically I feel normal it’s just the light spotting which is taking forever to go away! I think my OH feels the same because I’m just ready to go already 😂

susiebluebell · 24/04/2021 12:38

@Canadadarling They say you can start TTC again as soon as miscarriage bleeding has stopped - that's to avoid infection. But the thing about waiting for AF is for dating the new pregnancy accurately, as PP have said.

Re your earlier post about having doubts, I had a spell of that a few weeks ago. I was coming out of the doldrums and feeling really positive again. And then I started doubting whether I really wanted to get pregnant at this point in my life, so many other good things were happening, studies, work, life after lockdown etc. And tbh I'm not sure there will ever be a time where having a baby WON'T disrupt certain things about your previous life. But when I thought about it properly, I remembered we both really really want children, and this is honestly going to be one of the easier periods of our life to do it, rather than wait till we're further in our careers etc.

It's healthy to step back and reconsider sometimes I think x

Canadadarling · 24/04/2021 13:21

@susiebluebell oh i see so there’s not really, a medical reason I can’t start again straight away

It’s so annoying because when we sit down and talk about it I know I 100% want a baby and we can make it work, and then the next day I’ll start doubting it again! I think I would always have these doubts though even if I was 35 and in the perfect position for children I’d probably still think in the back of my mind that I’m not ready

elsimo · 24/04/2021 18:15

@SamBass how are u getting on?

SamBass · 24/04/2021 20:31

@elsimo
Im doing okay thanks, I haven't tested again but had intense cramping over the past few days. I did ring my GP on Friday and she agreed I needed blood counts doing, i'm booked in for Monday so hopefully know more in Wednesday. If i'm honest I suspect its hormones from the MMC hanging around but GP said best to check in case its retained tissue especially with the positive FRER.

susiebluebell · 24/04/2021 20:38

@Canadadarling completely agree, I don't think you can ever feel fully prepared. Even if you feel prepared during TTC, then you'll probably feel out of your depth at some point during the pregnancy Confused Wink I honestly can't wait though! Grin

elsimo · 24/04/2021 20:59

@SamBass aww I feel for u, the waiting is the pits!
It still could be a new one tho - I had loads of cramping in early pregnancy.
Remind me, did u have surgical management?

SamBass · 24/04/2021 21:33

@elsimo i had surgical management on 15th March- 9 week but confirmed heart beat stopped at 8 weeks
