@bubblybrit it's hard not to be optimistic sometimes isn't it, I've felt like that the last couple of months. This month my only symptoms are lack of symptoms, couple of episodes of intense cramps but nothing like normal months 🤷‍♀️ anything but AF next week and I'll be so so surprised

@bez91 AF due the end of next week for me xx

bubblybrit · 20/04/2021 08:00

@bez91. Yes that’s very true. I’m tempted to test early to put me out of my misery but I know if it’s a BFN then I’ll tell myself that it’s only cos I tested too early and the hope will be kept alive. I had absolutely no symptoms with my first pregnancy. It was only my period being late that made me test so you never know I guess x

SLCxxx · 20/04/2021 08:57

Morning ladies, congrats to the BFPs ladies in the last few days! So lovely to read!

AF due today for me, in the absence of cramps, and with nausea, sore boobs, metallic taste.. I caved and BFN 😔 so that’s me out this month. So horrid that it’s the same symptoms for both!
Good luck to those still in it this month xx

gizmo167 · 20/04/2021 09:03

@loll35 aw congrats lovely, I would say try not to worry but I'm exactly same, worrying about every tiny thing, fingers crossed hun x

Cd30 today so af would be due today, planning to test tomorrow, will do cb or get a frer, what do you all recommend?

Still symptomless apart from a bit of af cramping, boobs feel a little heavier but not sore, just want this so badly!

Fingerscrossedfor2021HK · 20/04/2021 09:49

AF arrived for me today - bang on time as ever. I honestly don’t know why I ever bothered with contraception - we DTD every day of my FW and nothing! How does anyone ever manage to get pregnant?! So frustrated and sad. My best friend just told me she is pregnant and all I can think that I should have a 3 month old now and instead I am still stuck TTC. I will be 34 in a few months and it feels like it will never happen for me.

Sorry for the rant! I have been trying to put a brave face on for my husband as I know that it makes him really sad to see me so miserable.

On a happier note, congrats to all those with BFPs! Any tips?!

justwant2beamum · 20/04/2021 10:07

@bez91 good luck for your bloods. Af due for me on 26th/27th so next mon/tues. 8dpo for me. I tested yesterday bfn obviously. I think I'm out as no rhr rise. Feeling deflated and like no point testing. Will wait and see how many days I can hold off for.

SLCxxx · 20/04/2021 10:07

Has anyone ever tried Preseed lubricant? literally willing to try anything that may help now 🙈

Loulou237 · 20/04/2021 10:24

Hi @Fingerscrossedfor2021HK, sorry you got your AF it sucks doesn’t it. Have you tried just dtd every other day or even every 3 days around your FW? I know it sounds counter productive but it helps the sperm build up so sometimes every day is too much...although I’m sure lots of people have had success this way it’s just a thought of something to try!

bez91 · 20/04/2021 11:36

So sorry @SLCxxx it doesn't get any easier does it month on month 💕 I tried pre-seed in January as for some reason I was having "hummmm" lubrication issues. Think it was just my body after the MC, but it obviously didn't help and I've been fine without since. Lots of ladies recommend if you need lubricant anyway.

@Fingerscrossedfor2021HK you're free to vent here. I'm the same with my husband, he knows it's really bringing me down now but us ladies are alright here

@justwant2beamum more or less AF due same time 🙂

@bubblybrit it's a total rollercoaster! I've spent the last couple of days distracting myself with work things but my head goes straight to ttc at every opportunity lol good luck for testing!

@SamBass definitely looks like a line to be so hopefully it'll be a new bfp for you!

@Canadadarling hi, sorry about your Mmc, on my first mc I waited a few months before trying again but after the cp's and the other mc I carried on straight away.

@Loll35 ooh congratulations hoping this will be your sticky little bean 🤞🏻

@gizmo167 I think the frer are more responsive 🤞🏻 for a stronger line!

@Fingerscrossedfor2021HK I know how you feel, I'm three years and definitely feel like it will never happen. Hope you're feeling better soon

@SLCxxx I have the Tesco version of pre-seed as I have little to no ewcm can't do any harm 🤷🏼‍♀️

SamBass · 20/04/2021 13:19

@Marvellouslymadmum thank you im trying not to be too optimistic just incase its still hormones hanging around for my miscarriage give surgery was only 5 weeks yesterday. I tested again this morning there is still a faint line I just don't know if it's darker than yesterday or not. We haven't purposely TTC but agreed we wouldn't use contraception snd see what happens but this is messing with my head now.

Canadadarling · 20/04/2021 13:34

@Marvellouslymadmum Me and my partner want to start trying asap, but i feel like people will think its far too soon. I'm not sure if its bad for me to want to ttc straight away but tbh it gives me something positive to put my mind to

@SamBass definitely looks positive to me! i understand not wanting to be too optimistic but i was told that HPT would usually be negative after 2 weeks, so hoping that this is great news for you :)

SamBass · 20/04/2021 13:38

@Canadadarling o wow really? I did get a negative 3 weeks after surgery but that was with a less sensitive test. This time is with a First Response which is why im wondering if its picked up small amounts of hormones left from my MMC. I guess only time will tell and i will just have to re test in a few days provided my AF doesn't come in the mean time.

Canadadarling · 20/04/2021 13:58

@SamBass The levels of hCG should be back to 'normal' about 2 weeks after but this can take longer if it was a late mc (sorry i dont know the circumstances).Although everyones body is different I would think that after 5 weeks there definitely wouldnt be anything left to detect. Looking forward to the update when you re-test

gizmo167 · 20/04/2021 14:06

@sambass I definitely can see a line! I'm testing tomorrow again, got cb to try! Didn't have any frer so fc for us both!

SamBass · 20/04/2021 14:18

@Canadadarling i had a MMC detected at 8.5 weeks heart beat stopped 8 weeks. Surgical management on 15th March then negative Asda supermarket test on 5th April. It will be 6 weeks on Monday since surgery still no AF and two faint lines on First Response. If the negative test was on First Response i think i would be more optimistic that its a new pregnancy and not residual hormones from the MMC.

SamBass · 20/04/2021 14:19

@gizmo167 its so exciting but nerve racking too! I have everything crossed for you tomorrow let me know how you get on im going to try hold out until Thursday

susiebluebell · 20/04/2021 14:36

@Fingerscrossedfor2021HK I could have written the same thing about myself. There have been two new babies in my extended family in the last couple of months. One of them arrived within days of my original due date. It's so weird that we take it personally, and yes I totally know that feeling that it will never happen! Grrr!

Canadadarling · 20/04/2021 14:38

@SamBass Have you tried a regular test? if its been almost 6 weeks and no AF you could try a normal test (not early detection) in a few days and see if a line shows. With my pg i tested using tesco's own tests and a cb 2 days before AF was due and they came out positive. And i feel for you, I know the frustration of waiting and not knowing!

SamBass · 20/04/2021 14:45

@Canadadarling i tested with an Asda standard one yesterday evening its was negative but First Response showed faint line this morning. I think i made an error in testing with the Asda on a evening instead of this morning. My issues is I don't know when my AF is due with it being my first one following the MMC.

bez91 · 20/04/2021 14:53

@SamBass it's so so difficult to tell, I know ladies where it's taken over 7 weeks. Really hoping for you 🤞🏼

Thinking back on past people on the thread and checking in , @TheDaydreamBelievers are you still around if so how are you doing? I know we had our MMC end of November practically at the same time. Hope you are well 😊

OP posts:
SamBass · 20/04/2021 14:55

@bez91 do you mean 7 weeks for the hormones to completely dropped or for AF to arrive?

Canadadarling · 20/04/2021 14:58

@SamBass it should come by 6 weeks so if you do a frer later this week or a normal test next week (if you can wait that long) it should be accurate by then i think? definitely do it in the morning though, they say you can do them any time of day but i've known people to do Cb in the evening and get negatives and turns out they were actually pregnant

SamBass · 20/04/2021 15:02

@Canadadarling yeah i was told at hospital i should have AF by 6 weeks but I know it can be difficult for everyone! Im
Going to teat on Thursday as I'm due to be going day drinking on Friday for a friends birthday and obviously don't want to be drinking if i am/might be pregnant.
