As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

Sorry meant to add I realise periods last longer etc but is there any way when it starts to know which it is.

@Ttcin2021 normal is 10-16 days from ovulation to period. But it would be normal for that to be a bit odd when coming off hormonal birth control or after a MC.

@Juno231 Im pretty sure Ive put on about 5kg since new year. I now weigh in at 183lbs at 5ft 8" (BMI 27.7) so would like to reduce that by quite a bit.

@Nellieee Hope you're surviving work kicking off! Did AF start today? Hope it stayed away another day for you!

@TheDaydreamBelievers Sorry to hear you're feeling anxious. Good to look at the positives and what you can control though. I'm definitely a bit squishier at the moment and could do with cutting out all the snacks! I love having something sweet after dinner too much!

@ChinChilly Fingers crossed ovulation is on the horizon!

I'm CD10 today and I've had a bit of a line on an opk tonight. Mine are usually white if there's nothing happening.. It's not peak, but looking back at previous months on Premom it's been like this the day before peak. My temp is quite low too so I'm wondering if ill have an early ovulation this month?!

@ttcin2021 yey! That will probably be the only AF you are happy to see 😁 also a 10 day LP is perfectly fine.

Implantation bleeding is rare and usually very light... think a blush of pink or brown rather than bright red or dark clotting.but im no expert 😊

My cervix has become high, squishy and open and my CM is wet... I hope it means something is starting to happen 🙏 opks still negative at around 30% though.

I met up with my friend and her 6 month only little boy today for a socially distanced walk. There were of course questions about how my TTC journey is going (shes the only friend I have told), and then came the inevitable concern... as she fell pregnant on her first try 🙄🙃

@Ttcin2021 as it's your first AF I wouldn't worry but if it showed today at 10dpo that would make your LP 9 days - which is a little bit on the short side. Hopefully it gets to the double digits next cycle! (or actually - just doesn't show at all 😉). Saying that, if you're only spotting then AF isn't quite here yet? Red flow will count as CD1.

@Juno231 30lbs would be about right for me too! I have however just eaten some Tangfastics, so not the best start

@Juno231 @TheDaydreamBelievers about 30lbs would be right for me too! I say after eating a fresh cream cherry sundae 😂 I need to get down to a healthy BMI and lose all the lockdown weight. Hard when bored sitting on my arse all day, with gyms closed and being cold and wet outside!

@Juno231 yeah I don’t think I’m actually counting it as today as it’s stopped for now.... probably to return tomorrow which I guess would make it 10 days LP. I now totally see how you all have such a hard time in the tww...... I have really sore boobs, was nauseous night before last and really tired..... it’s like our bodies trick us!!

@Moocher90 thanks for the info! My own doctors patient access website says a TSH over 4 should be treated but there bracket for normal is upto 4.9 😂😂 ridiculous

I’ve woken up feeling like absolute 💩 temp is still low and my RHR isn’t upto much either, it didn’t really come down after AF it’s normally around 65-66

@ChinChilly you would have normally ovulated by now or any day now?

@Moocher90 it can be any day from CD14-18 so I suppose any day now

@ChinChilly your temp has come down nicely, so hopefully you'll get a peak OPK today/tomorrow and Ov tomorrow/next day?

My temp came down a bit today too... but... I took my temperature an hour and a half later than I usually do and I had already started waking up/talking/had picked up my phone... so it isn't to be trusted!

Morning girls!

Had a temp drop below the cover line but still no AF. Hopefully it arrives later today. It was so weird to lie in bed this morning excited about the drop and to go for that morning wee to see if AF had arrived 😅.

@Kay00 I had alot of EWCM this morning so hopefully something is happening finally! Hopefully your temp is accurate and something is happening for you too!

@Juno231 it’s so wierd to be on here hoping for AF 😂

My chart is so pants this month. Given my temps have already dropped, do we think I even ovulated so far? Around FFs estimated date, the OPKs were near positives so is possible

@Juno231 oh that’s odd. I was really hoping it was some kind of implantation bleeding but I suppose the temp drop suggests otherwise. Hope it just hurries up and arrives now! At least the later it is the better it is for ovulation and dtd?

Not a lot to report here. 7dpo which is the day I started bleeding last cycle so super praying the b vits have worked and my lp lengthens. Or a bfp ideally 😂 but not holding my breath. No symptoms or anything. Still haven’t heard back about the SA for DH. I got my blood results back and LH etc showed that they were high enough for ovulation time but he said progesterone was a bit low. But I don’t know if that’s because I hadn’t actually ovulated yet so they hadn’t increased or are they even low for ovulation day. But either way I’m not surprised as that’s what’s linked to short lp and long bleeding/spotting. They don’t really seem to treat progesterone deficiency as much here as the USA. Like progesterone creams etc. They seem to give more clomid as my gp said the stronger the ovulation the more progesterone wil rise. Anyway that turned out to be a long post for not a lot to report 😂

@cams50 that's unusual to test for LH at that point in the cycle I think! Did you ask for an actual number of progesterone? I would just because I keep seeing ladies getting told their numbers are normal when they're not. E.g. I'm on a fertility appointment thread atm and two of the women there have progesterone too low to be ovulating but were never told by their GPs...

What dpo are you today? Fingers crossed for no spotting/longer LP!

As for me - yeah on the assumption that AF shows up today it's worked very well from an HSG point of view. Def in with a shot this cycle and hopefully with increased fertility from the tubes being flushed out! It does worry me though that it's gone randomly wonky just when I thought it was going really well!

@Juno231 it was meant to be a 21 day blood test but I only ovulated that day so maybe they test for everything but that must have shown as high for 21 as I hadn’t actually ovulated yet. No I didn’t ask for a number for progesterone but it wouldn’t be accurate for confirming ovulation as I hadn’t ovulated yet if you see what I mean. I’m 7dpo today so really it should have been today lol. So he basically said there’s no point doing more blood tests and just wait for the SA result and he’ll refer us. But I’m sure you need a day 3 blood test too to be referred even if my 21 day one kind of turned out to be that. I don’t think he knows much about fertility. The bloods need to be done within 3 months of the referral I think so I’m going to see what happens with this SA and then maybe ask for more bloods then. I wonder if I should lie about my cd21 because he was like it has to be day 21 regardless but I didn’t ovulate until then. But then he’d know from the gap between day 3 and 21...this is such a mind field!! As some of you other ladies were saying the experience you have is so dependent on the gp you get. Argh.

Yes I’ve heard so much about the HSG helping to make you more fertile that month so that’s great! Yeah it is strange to have an irregular cycle but presumably it’s just a one off 🤔

@Cams50 sounds like a right headache! Seems like things are moving in the right direction.

My OPKs still aren’t upto much! I’ve got today and tomorrow to get a peak before OH goes off on night shifts again, OH has a new job so these are the last night shifts woohoo.

@ChinChilly oh that’s good about his new job! Hopefully ovulation happens in the next day or two. Even if it’s the day or 2 after that then those days should cover you!

@Cams50 yeah his new job is much closer to home aswell! The problem with his night shifts are they are long shifts 5-5 so we never really had any time together. I was hoping I would get a peak today they are darker then yesterday but not quite there yet
