As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

@LauraT94 I hope it becomes clearer for you soon. I totally get the waiting. I haven’t been through what you have of course but 10 months ttc and soooo much waiting and seeing. And I’m so impatient 😂

@LauraT94 It sounds like it's been an emotional few months for you. Look after yourself...it's all consuming at times this ttc stuff and covid isn't making it easy to be distracted from it!

@Nellieee Your temperatures still look good to me. Maybe not as high as previous months but FF says it usually rises 0.2 or even 0.1 degrees Celsius to indicate ovulation so I wouldn't worry.

@Robyn101 Your dedication to SMEP is admirable! I hope this is your month!

@Cams50 Yes! My fingers are crossed for you!! Are you having/have you had day 21 blood tests this month or did I make that up?

@MissC07 Your chart is looking good! How long is your LP normally?

CD5 here and nothing much to report. My temps are finally going back down so hoping for ovulation next week...might start using the Clearblue advanced ovulation tests on Monday and see what's happening!

@Kay00 My DH is Welsh and has mentioned Angharad, Seren, Ffion and Carys. I'm very much undecided! Haha!

@Juno231 that's very true! I'm feeling quite obsessive over it all at the moment which isn't healthy.

@TheDaydreamBelievers @AMS19 I'm sorry you're both feeling the same way! The waiting is just awful isn't it. I think I used up all my patience waiting for the miscarriage haha, I have none left to wait for ovulation or a new cycle!!

@Gracie2021 I've spent an embarrassing amount of time looking at charts today so I totally feel you 😂 but yeah I know the only guarantee is that AF or BFP will arrive eventually either way! I sometimes get hormonal nose bleeds but only ever during my actual period! I've had bad nosebleeds since I was about 2!

@Cams50 thanks ❤️ I do have to give my head a bit of a wobble I think. I get so wrapped up in it all and I have to think actually, I'm lucky! I managed to get pregnant once, how can I complain about waiting to confirm ovulation when there's so many of you that have been waiting months (years!) to conceive?!

I've had a lot more EWCM this eve soooo.... 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 go figure!

Oooh @FlyingGiraffe I missed your post but thank you ❤️ yes it's definitely easy to let it take over your life when you've got nothing else to focus on! I need to get back to doing some yoga and bringing some stillness to my mind rather than checking FF and Femometer 20 times an hour hoping they'll have more insights for me 😂

@FlyingGiraffe yes thank you! I had them done yesterday but I think I literally ovulated later that day 😂 so really don’t know what they’ll show. They might want to repeat them next week but glad the ball is rolling. So glad your temps are going back down and hoping ovulation is just around the corner so you can get trying again!

@LauraT94 thanks. Yeah it feels like it’s been soooo long but what can you do but keep going?! I go between it’ll never happen for me to it’ll definitely happen this month as I symptom spot like a crazy person 😂 Ohhh more EWCM is a great sign! Maybe this is your ovulation after all. Hope it all becomes more clear for you and your chart gives you some answers!!

@Robyn101 @Cams50 @FlyingGiraffe @LauraT94 Thank you ladies. I'm trying not to get my hopes up as I'll probably wake up tomorrow with a temp drop. This is my first cycle tracking anything so unsure of O dates and LP's 🙈

Just had the most stressful evening. Went to take our dog out for a wee and there was another dog staring at me through the back door! Let the dog in and it had no collar, tried calling the vets, dog warden etc no luck. Then finally got through to the vets who said we needed to take him up there to be scanned, our car has been snowed in for 3 days so it took 30mins to sort that out. Got him scanned and they called the owner who turns out has covid and is isolating and he's been missing all day. So we've just got back from dropping him home (at a safe distance!) and my OH just slipped up our driveway and hurt his leg..... I think I'm having zero luck at the moment 😂

@Kay00 That’s actually really funny, my OH keeps going on about Scottish names but I actually seem to prefer Welsh, despite having zero Welsh heritage 😂 I suggested Rhys and Owen! Love your names 🥰

@Cams50 I’ve not been sick yet... have had a few waves of mild nausea but that’s about it! Main symptoms for me are mild cramping (which is apparently normal but I didn’t know was a thing so it stressed me out,) tender boobs, and peeing loads. I am also on constant knicker watch for spotting / bleeding!! Super anxious. I’ve booked an early scan for end of this month, not sure why really cos I’ll still be stressed after that lol. Really glad you’ve got the ball rolling on your tests, and also ovulated!

Morning all! Any testers this weekend? I was meant to be but i think I’m going to give it another week. My temps are high - according to when I think I ovulated I’m 10dpo but I had that weird 2 day dip 3 days ago so I may give it an extra week to see what happens with my temps.

@sperr isn't that dip just your secondary oestrogen surge though? the dates line up as it's most common around 8dpo.

@MissC07 goodness that's an eventful night! I love that the dog came to you for help though, so sweet! Is OH okay today or was it a bad fall?

@LauraT94 I've signed up for a les mills 60 day free trial but not had the motivation to do any of the classes yet - I think I should to help me relax/take my mind off things. Always wanted to try Barre for instance!

Morning all......

Have posted a couple of times but am keeping up with everyone. Just wondering if anyone can answer if I might have ovulated day 33 on my chart...... I have had no period since coming off the pill at start of this chart which I’m not suprised about as I know by many of you that it can take months but I did think I might of around then. Not too concerned about dtd at right time until ive had a period again but just curious.....

@Ttcin2021 maybe CD34 actually! A little bit tough to tell with that type of chart I think though!

Well ladies I just had the appointment! They were 15 min late and it lasted a whopping 13 min . She never even asked if OH was there and asked me all the questions! She also didn't seem to have any of my results from previous tests, she could just see that they'd taken place.

She was a bit concerned about my family history of early menopause and has told me to come in on CD2-4 for a repeat test of day 3 FSH and estradiol, plus AMH this time. OH has to redo his SA as well and she was surprised they hadn't put him on antibiotics after the last result showed an abnormally high count of white blood cells. On day 1 I also have to call the hospital to arrange an HSG so it sounds like I'll have that done in the next two weeks or so. After that I need a follow up appointment to discuss results and we'll take it from there. No mention of IUIs/IVF or anything like that. The lady was rather to the point and perhaps a bit brusque - but at least the ball is rolling!

@Juno231 it’s my first month temping so not too sure what to expect 😳. When are you testing?

I weirdly have no AF symptoms this month which is quite nice. If I recall when I was younger I never actually had AF symptoms either it would just appear one day 😂. So I feel like I’m going back to normal.

@Juno231 I'm glad your appointment went ok and the ball is rolling on tests. How are you feeling today?

@Sperr I should be testing Sat/Sun although my temp dipped today and I feel like I'm getting a cold. Do you think you'll wait the extra week for testing or just do it this weekend anyway?

@MissC07 my heart rate has been dropping since monday so I think I'm out! At least that means I can get both those tests scheduled in soon.

@MissC07 I think I’m going to wait it out- enjoy my valentines weekend 😂. Fingers crossed for you! How cute would it be to give your OH the test as a valentines present! (Almost convincing myself to test now just for that 😂😂)

@MissC07 omg what a nightmare!! I'm so terrified of walking on the ice and I'm a nanny with two school runs to do today, dreading it!! Hope OH is ok!

@Sperr I think I'll test on Sunday. I could be 9dpo, 13dpo or 0dpo... 😂 But I've got a cupboard full of FRERs so why not?! I definitely think your dip sounds normal as @Juno231 said! If it's a BFP you'll get an accurate result this weekend I reckon..

@Juno231 sounds like a super quick but efficient appt?! Shame she didn't acknowledge OH though... Les Mills sounds good! I've got an online yoga subscription and I'm also thinking of doing walk all over cancer, 10,000 steps a day every day in March.

@Ttcin2021 I'm no good with the wibbly wobbly charts but I'd trust Juno's assessment!

My temp stayed steady at 36.41 this morning... Would have expected some sort of miniscule rise if I had ovulated... 🤔 So potentially my body will wait to Ovulate closer to CD35 similar to last cycle? If so then maybe my temp will drop in the next few days (I'm CD29). If it does then I won't waste a FRER at the weekend of course haha. We DTD last night after the EWCM just in case we're only just approaching fertile window!!

@LauraT94 hmmm... more EWCM, you're definitely doing the right thing to keep DTD, I have had charts where I thought I was ovulating and my temp rose sightly (FF even gave me cross hairs!) but then I ovulated properly a week later.

@Ttcin2021 I would agree that ovulation looks like it may have happened around CD35 - yey! I would recommend using Fertility Friend App to log temps as the charts are much easier to read. Its free but you can pay for it (extra features) if you really like it.

@Juno231 Sounds like she was rushed... on the plus side you're getting a load of tests lined up which can't be bad - Great news!!

@Ttcin2021 I second @Kay00's recommendation of FF app. Are you temping at the same time each day and before you get out of bed? Just asking as chart is v up and down.

@Kay00 yeah same time but I think as people have mentioned I struggle as I’m sure I sleep with mouth open sometimes haha and also sleep in a room with all windows open!!

@Ttcin2021 Agreed on recommending the FF charts! Their x and y scales just seem a lot better suited for pattern interpretations.

Thanks all! Yes very rushed and unprepared (on her side) which felt a bit stressful tbh. Like I had to fight to get a word in to ask questions as she was ready to drop off the call - and it was for pretty important yet basic stuff like how I actually action all the things she said?! E.g. she said I need a day 3 test - great, how do I organise that? Oh just come to the hospital (the phlebotomy dept I assume? WHICH hospital as my rescheduled meeting from last week was with an entirely different one?). Where do I call to arrange an HSG, how do we set OH up for an SA? If I hadn't been on the ball I would have come out of that meeting without any of that info and no way of contacting them again as she didn't provide with an email address or anything.

I'm just glad things are going ahead though! Completely forgot to ask about my TSH though and obv she didn't even have the results to pick up on it.

Oh and I caved and tested with SMU today at 11DPO. BFN as per usual! So I guess I'll already be phoning this weekend to arrange my tests.
