As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

@Gracie2021 thank you!! I still feel a bit on edge about it all, I think my luck with my temps will run out soon. I hope you're doing ok!

@ChinChilly Sorry you've had one of those days!! I hope you at least managed to have a relaxing bath.

@TheDaydreamBelievers I'm glad they are running tests , I hope the time goes quickly for you and everything comes back ok.

@TheDaydreamBelievers good they now do the test, but shame it means such a long time off ttc! Really hope it comes back all normal though!

@LauraT94 that's really good to know! I was thinking I was already out! I haven't had anymore spotting. I had convinced myself AF was coming early with no ovulation as I'm on cd28. Also good to know late ovulation doesn't mean I'm out either! As that was another thing I'm worried about. Urgh this ttc journey is filled with so much anxiety!

AF arrived today, punctual if a little angry. With the cramps I'm getting there must be a good thick lining breaking down in there (one can only hope 😂). Taking the positive that it looks like this cycles really fertile days stretch over the weekend again which will be a huge relief as OH will be doing mad hours this month.

@TheDaydreamBelievers I'm so sorry you're having a scare with this and losing time but I love that they're being so thorough and taking such good care of you. Sending all the positive vibes for a good first test result and only a month lost. I had a scare when my doctor did bloods at the start of this and ended up getting cardio tests and all. Ended up being a false alarm but they have to double check everything so please don't worry too much while you're waiting for your tests.

@ChinChilly hope work gets better love, same here at the moment and it's a pill. A bath was the very ticket last night abs hope today goes batter for you.

@Moocher90 if you're having trouble with cold when WFH I'd highly recommend an electric foot warmer off amazon. I got one for fifty pounds and it's the best thing ever.

@Juno231 natural cycles finally said this morning they agreed with you that I ovulated day 35...., never thought I’d be so excited about ovulation. I think it won’t have happened for me as only DTD 4 and 5 days before but just happy if it has at least happened and I might get first period after coming off pill!!

Morning ladies, I definitely think I'm out this month, my temp has dropped and I caved and did a test this morning and it was BFN 😞

@Gracie2021 sorry AF arrived and you are having bad cramps. Sounds like it's time for painkillers, a hot water bottle and for you to treat yourself.

@MissC07 really sorry that you got a BFN. Your chart was looking good. But as always said you are not out until the AF shows. Your temps are still quite high so let's hope she stays away.

@Gracie2021 hi cycle buddy! I've woken up to AF today too.

Although I was half expecting it, it was a bit of a shock... But I suppose I'm glad to have a good 'clear out' after the MC and start a fresh cycle. But I'm in pain and it's quite heavy so no valentine's Day loving for us this year 😂❤️

@MissC07 I'm def with @Flowers222 on your temps still being quite high but if you're anything like me you set your hopes low and better to be surprised in a good way if you're wrong. I definitely like temping way more than I thought I would for that reason as it removes some of the wondering.

@Flowers222 thanks a mil. Knew it was coming and can't complain as I know I'm lucky to be back to short cycles.

@Ttcin2021 congratulations. It's great to start seeing things coming back to normal post pill. And @Juno231 is such a chart whisperer!

@LauraT94 hi cycle buddy. Hope you have some pain pills you can take to help out. No V Day living here either 😂 hope you're doing ok about it all. I always find the days coming up to AF the worst but once she's here it's like a fresh start and new hope for the cycle ahead. That's my spin anyway 👍

Woke up this morning convinced it was Saturday when I looked at my fitbit and it said Friday I was like WTF! Not much going on here just waiting for O I feel like I can’t really be bothered with OPKs this cycle I’ve done one a day the last few days but I’m feeling very MEH about them! That may change once I start seeing something on them 😂

@ChinChilly oh no that's the pits. Do you work weekends or are you on countdown to end of week like me? Tbh if you're covering EOD, OPKs are kind of superfluous. CM is looking great anyway.

Also know there was talk of which apps people prefer over the last couple days and maybe it's just cause I'm too cheap to buy FF premium but I actually love Premom too. Plus love the comfort of having two apps to check the predictions on. The big upside of Premom besides the thermometer and OPKs feeding directing into the app is the cycle reports. I find them so useful and interesting.

@Gracie2021 I’m a countdown until the weekend girl! I was working 7 days a week before Christmas doing some COVID stuff on the weekends and it was a killer! I do like premom for stuff like that I am also too tight to pay for FF premium 😂

@Kay00 fingers crossed you get a valentines ovulation 🤞🏼 although FF seems to think i’m only having a 16 days cycle 🙄

Told myself I'd 'treat' myself to premium FF if/when my period came! And I'm so glad I did. I can now see from my RHR that it's so obvious I did actually ovulate! Which I'm glad about as I worried it might have been an anovulatory cycle. Think that'll be really helpful going forward too. Bit worried about the short LP and low LP temps but I'm guessing it's more to do with the leftover pregnancy hormones/MC than anything else.

@LauraT94 wow it's soooo clear when you add in the RHR. That's crazy. Worthwhile for the assurance alone.

@LauraT94 you’re making me jealous with your RHR on your FF chart! I’m such a geek I love data on a chart 😂😂 Brownie for breakfast is a winner btw! I can’t find a pattern with RHR and ovulation

@Gracie2021 @MissC07 so I started bleeding this morning - not sure if it's full blown AF or not but I'll call today to arrange an HSG regardless as otherwise I have to wait until Monday to book it.

@LauraT94 @ChinChilly yeah I love the RHR function! Mine started dropping from Wednesday so I knew AF was on its way and today my temp has dropped to confirm what I knew lol. Saying that - some months my RHR makes no sense due to other factors like alcohol.

Oh and fingers crossed for Valentines ovulations ladies! That would be so cute :)

@LauraT94 I'm thinking of cancelling my natural cycles subscription and just going FF VIP membership - it seems just as good, and natural cycles is mainly aimed at NOT TTC rather than TTC. So seems a bit unnecessary. It also wouldn't work for me to prevent a pregnancy as my cycles are so all over the shop. How much does FF cost on subscription?

@kay00 I might be gearing up for a valentines weekend ovulation too! My OPKs are sitting at a kinda mid colour

@TheDaydreamBelievers it's £46 for the year I think. Or £10.90 for the month? They often seem to have discount codes crop up though but I've never been able to time it to when I actually needed it. Try the free trial first perhaps and then they might tempt you with a discounted offer after?

@ChinChilly it's cool 😎 I couldn't see a pattern until I saw it plotted on the chart like that! But as @Juno231 says so many things can affect RHR.

@TheDaydreamBelievers I paid £19.99 for a 90 day membership and then they have a deal on at the mo where they increase it up to a year! So i paid £20 for a year basically. I definitely think it's worth it so far!

@LauraT94 it's when they squirt a dye solution into your uterus and tubes to check for blockages and they xray you as it happens. It's basically an older version of a hycosy but potentially a bit more thorough. The hycosy is a bit better for you though as it avoids radiation lol.
