As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

@Tillybabs I'm on another bus on here and several ladies have had their vaccines and some had their bfps after too. I think the advice is that it's fine to have but if you get pregnant you just have to hold off on having the second jab.

@ChinChilly wowee 40k! 4k is the strongest they recommend if you don't have any massive deficiencies so 40 sounds nuts! I'm intrigued to hear if you feel any different once you start taking them! Ha honestly the procedures today were fine, I feel fully recovered tbh - with the exception of some nausea from the antibiotics!

@mrsmacmc sorry I forgot to say - I don't remember any pain from my colposcopy! or a vinegar wash. I do remember having period like pains for the rest of the day once they'd done the LEEP following the colposcopy.

@Juno231 it wasn't a pleasant experience and makes me wary of having folk rummaging around down there. The gynae who did it wasn't very compassionate and retorted at me 'if you can't cope with this then how on earth do you think you can cope with childbirth' condescending b*tch (much prefer male gynaes!). Hubs and I hadn't been together very long and I remember the car journey home was interesting 😳

@Tillybabs I was thinking about this at the start of the week and I'll be getting the vaccine as DM is CEV and DH is CV ❤️

That sounds like a horrible experience.

Also don’t worry about your age, I’ve actually found it has helped me. I’m 40 and I’m being fast tracked because of this for fertility screening and that’s with trying for less than a year. But definitely say you have been trying for at least 12 months in your instance.

Yes it was horrible and in hindsight (which is a wonderful thing) I should've asked more questions / been quicker to self advocate - you do feel a tad vulnerable lying there with your foof on display!

Trying not to worry about my age, my BMI puts me just into the obese category which in my head I'm sure they will mention / use since everything defaults where I am to weight loss being used as a cure all eye roll it's not the only thing that can impact on health!

@Juno231 does seem a huge dose, it’s only 1 40k does once a week for the next 7 weeks and then she’s recommended I keep on top of it with a daily supplement so hopefully i should feel different over the next 7 weeks! Ahh good you’re feeling ok after the procedure must sound worse then it was!

@mrsmacmc I feel exactly the same about trying not to fall pregnant for years and I thought as soon as I had unprotected sex I’d get pregnant 😂😂😂oh how wrong was I

Had the worst Ovulation pains and cramps this afternoon, was nearly in tears! Was the same side I had my large cyst during my pregnancy so I wonder if that has anything to do with it 🤷🏼‍♀️

But the pain also makes me wonder if maybe my weird last cycle was anovulatory as I didn't get any pain like this!

OPK went up to 147% today but I'm 90% certain I did ovulate this afternoon/evening. But will see what happens with temp and OPKs tomorrow! It's all so confusing haha.

@Juno231 although undignified and painful I'm glad it went well and you're recovering ok!

@ChinChilly 40,000 is mad 🤪 I use an oral spray every day and it's 3,000. I used to get awful depression in winter and this keeps it away!

@LauraT94 Deffo sounds like definitely ovulated then, yay! I know the dose seems huge! Oh I’ve gotta go for repeat bloods at the end of March aswell as something came up as abnormal on one of my liver tests, she said sometimes it happens and it’s just a blip and not to worry, so I’m making an effort not to google it so I dont end up in a blind panic 🤣

FYI amazon have 50 femometer OPKs for £9.99 at the mo if anyone needs to stock up

@LauraT94 maybe you ovulated from the other side last month so less painful? Only thing I can think of!

@ChinChilly that happened for one of my bloods and was perfect at next bloods. The liver numbers can get thrown by even minor infection so jm sure it's nothing serious!

@LauraT94 - I'm more pained on my left side as had a cyst removed years ago, some months it feels like a gerbil gnawing at me ❤️

It's taken me nearly a month to pluck up the courage as our GP surgery receptionists can be quite forceful. I find it hard to talk on the phone even though I do it daily for work but have a 'hat' on for that.

Morning all, fertility friend is under the presumption I have ovulated. Well I done a CB opk and I got a flashing smiley so I don’t think I have yet. If I had I would be out anyway as never had sex in time....

I had a little temp dip this morning and some cramps so hopeing AF isn’t about to make an appearance this soon 🙄

@chinchilly that also happened to me as well I had one of my liver tests raised. I went for a repeat blood test and all was back to normal. It was at the time I had a kidney infection and had been on antibiotics so I think it was just that in my system which showed an anomaly.

@Juno231 god the procedure sounds awful but glad you felt better quickly. That’s reassuring that everything seems fine but I hate that feeling that you felt you couldn’t see your other tube but I’m sure it was fine.

@LauraT94 yay for ovulation but sorry it was so painful! Hopefully that’s a good sign. Definite ovulation and a good egg hopefully!

Had a very enjoyable Saturday, dog run, a mid afternoon bath and a relax as DH has done all the housework!

Speaking of listening in, Ovusense keeps popping up. Has anyone used it? Thinking about it and DH is contemplating it too as its 'techy' 🤓 😆

@chinchilly I'll take your unexploded WW2 bomb in the cabal near your house and raise you an unexploded WW2 bomb at the uni in Exeter (about 20 min walk from my house). They just detonated it about 30 mins ago... HOLY MOLY!!!! It was so loud!!! 😳🤯😱

So I'm CD37, my temp is dipping again and my cervix is SHOW... AND... I got 75% (high) on an OPK with SMU... oh god... could it be... ovulation????

@Juno231 yeah I definitely reckon it must have been my right ovary last month! It is supposed to switch every month I think so would make sense 🤔 how are you feeling today? All recovered?

@mrsmacmc it was horrible pain so I really feel for you!! It felt almost like an intense trapped wind pain but it was only in one place and there was no wind to pass haha... Ooh what did you think of WandaVision? Did you see they're going to do a Scarlet Witch film? I had a quick Google of Ovusense. Tbh I get on really well with waking up same time every day to do my temps (use my silent alarm on my Fitbit!). But I can see it being useful for those who do shift work, or maybe even those who are getting up in night for older kids?

I just did an OPK and it came back at just 30%... so I'm not getting too excited just yet. We DTD last night and will again tonight just in case.

@LauraT94 actually ovaries don't alternate, it's supposed to be a bit random I think?
