As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

Hi @minipilling 😔😔😔 this is usually how my period starts. I get shooting day or two of the pinkish spotting then darker clotting before full flow.

@Kay00 yeah i'm expecting it to turn into my period to be honest! feel pretty miserable but just taking it easy x

@Kay00 that’s brilliant that your OH is supportive of going private! Great to have a plan in please. And it’s good you’re speaking to your gp again in a few weeks. Oh I hope your OH’s insurance covered going private. Or at least the tests. That would be amazing.

@ChinChilly glad you managed to hobble around the park 🤣 hope your ankle is feeling better today.

@Sperr 12dpo is much earlier than 17 so hopefully you’re still in with a chance this cycle 🤞🏻

@Gracie2021 thanks Gracie. I think the small white lie is the right thing to do as the tests and appointments can take so long that you’d definitely be past the year by then anyway. But hopefully it doesn’t come to that for you x

@MissC07 sorry you’ve had a tough day. Wow a baby in May and pregnant again is quick. I’ve been trying since before May and no luck. I totally get it. Pregnancy announcements are so hard. I don’t want to be jealous but I want it so much for myself! And there seems to be babies on every tv programme when ttc like @TheDaydreamBelievers said.

@Moocher90 glad you’ve got a plan in place and it’s great that you’re feeling positive.

@minipilling sorry about AF if it does turn into full AF.

@MissC07 all I can say it she’s going to have a hectic 2 years with 2 that close in age! But i know what you mean! I’ve been asked a few times whey haven’t you two got kids yets, one day I might tell them about how hard it is just to shut them up 😂

@minipilling my AF always starts like that I’m afraid, normally for a day or 2

@Cams50 thank you, it feels better this morning but I still have a golf ball for an ankle!

I has a slight temp rise this morning, my temps are much lower than last cycle. I tried to whole taking my temp 15 mins after I’d been up and moving to see if it made much difference...it went down to 36.26 🤔

@abi555 any line updates? I could see one in all the pics!

@Sperr I'm sorry you've been bamboozled on the O date! Fingers crossed you're still in with a shot 🤞

@chinchilly your poor ankle! Hope it heals quickly. Wanna swap temps BTW - mine are way too high! I'm CD6 and I'm still in the 36.60s!

Neighbour's 12 year old girl asked me yesterday if she could please babysit my babies 😭

@Juno231 funnily enough my RHR never really came down during my last AF so that’s still too high!

Well exciting morning around here, somebody magnet fishing in the canal this morning near us has found an unexploded bomb (possibly WW2) all surrounding roads are closed off and the bomb disposal squad just turned up, waiting to see if they are going to make us all evacuate 🙄 seriously never a dull moment in my life 😂

@juno231 awww that's cute. And sounds like you have an ideal babysitter lined up for the future 🙌🙌

@chinchilly sounds like you're just having a slow rise, my temps usually rise to peak 4/5dpo.

@Kay00 I hope so, its an old 1900’s house, they all are around here! So it’ll probs just crumble to the ground 😂

@Juno231 because I had no other symptoms I’d discarded those low temps but when I put them back in it moved my o date to then 😂. Temp still high today so it’s not all bad at 13dpo. My RHR jumped up yesterday as well so I’m just waiting for my stupid Apple Watch to decide what today’s is before I get excited about anything

I have no motivation what so ever today to do my run. Like I’m still in bed can’t be bothered.

@Juno231 from the mouths of babes 🤞 my temps were still at 36.7 yesterday and only tanked to 36.4 today at CD10. First FP temping so hadn't even realized they were high til I saw your comment on yours.

@ChinChilly do the temps themselves matter as much as the trend so long as there is a clear increase? I'll def follow your lead with the white lie. I'm with you about the pill too. Wish I'd come off it years ago. How long were you off before you went back on? Mind the ankle x

@Moocher90 you sound like you have a great plan of action going forward and always starting from a strong place when you and OH are on the same page.

@MissC07 sorry you had a rotten day but yay for the orange swirls. Comfort food is key. My cousin had her SIXTH child two weeks ago and it got to me a bit I'll be honest. Very happy for them but also a little bit why not us 🙈🙈

@minipilling are you having other AF symptoms? I never spot either, just go straight into bright full on period so have always thought if I see spotting it would prob be a symptom of pregnancy. How many DPO are you now?

@Kay00 hope the OH's policy has all the bells and whistles. Our policy is up for renewal in July and I'll defo be upping the fertility cover. Know it's takes some time to kick in before you can avail but better have than not. Dead right to go private if you're covered and take advantage of it.

@Gracie2021 I’m assuming aslong as they are on the upwards trend I think its ok! I did have COVID last month so I’m guessing that may have effected my temps more than i realised. Before I stopped taking it last time I’d been on some form of hormonal contraception for about 10/11 years either the pill or the implant then I stopped taking it 2018 for about 6 months then started taking it again!!

It does seem like we live somewhere out of a soap 😂 I’m guessing it’s all part of living inner city, I walk the dog down that stretch of the canal everyday 🙄

@ChinChilly amazing to think that something like that can sit undiscovered for so long in such a busy stretch surrounded by so many people. Imagine how many more are out there. Madness. Yeah I was on for ten years too. Will never go back on. Definitely put how long TTC is taking down to the pill. Six whole months to feel I've gotten it out of my system.

@Gracie2021 we’ve had quite a few found around here, I think this area was quite heavily bombed during the war, the local church has WW2 bomb damage (we had to pay for an insurance policy for said church when we brought this house can’t remeber what it’s called)

The last GP i spoke to said it takes a good 6 months for your cycles to go back to normal. I wouldn’t go back on it either told OH he’d have to have the snip by the look on his face I doubt he will 😂

@Kay00 hopefully things will settle down for you but great you have the support to go private to get things moving if needed! I would definitely consider it. I keep looking at what tests you can get done.

So 8dpo today. Had some odd twinges and cramping yesterday that I am trying not to read into. Apart from that nothing. Temps are still on the rise. I am determined to wait until 12dpo to test this time.

Did someone say one step tests are useless? I accidentally bought them 🤨. It didn’t say that’s what the brand was on Amazon and then when they arrived that’s what they were! So annoying

@Juno231 still not sure what to think tbh. Had another faint line this morning, but it's definitely no stronger that the one yesterday and possibly slightly weaker. Pic attached, but again, I took the photo later than I should have as was a bit sad when I saw it wasn't strong and so threw it away and went back to it later on.... /idiot!
Temps still high. But had a tiny bit of light spotting this morning, boobs no longer tender and some cramping now developing. AF due today (got my dates mixed up as thought it was yesterday) and so pretty sure AF now arriving. If anything is there, I'm pretty certain it isn't sticking.
Bit gutted if honest. Defo will not be testing before AF in the future... not worth the headf*ck of squinting at tests!!

@abi555 I think there is all sorts lurking in these canals! That’s really difficult to say because those tests definitely look positive, I’m sure if they were evaps they would be more grey! And i think spotting in early pregnancy is normal... Hopefully it will become more clearer over the next few days

CD30 here and FF has taken away my dashed ovulation lines 😭😭😭. So who fecking knows what's going on

@abi555 I'm sorry it's no clearer. It definitely looks positive, that is a line. Hopefully it will get stronger 🤞 HCG only doubles every 2 days so it just might take time to get darker.

@abi555 I think that’s a positive!! That’s a clear line to me. And as @Flowers222 says about the HSG doubling every two days, it might mean that it’s stronger tomorrow. And your temps are still high. And as @ChinChilly said, spotting and cramping can also be a sign of pregnancy.

Also that’s crazy about the bomb!

@abi555 its still way days and I'd say your line is quite clear. Maybe leave it for a couple of days and if AF stats away test again. Just focus on you for the next couple of days... a little pampering perhaps?

@thedaydreambelievers 😪 sorry your crosshairs have been taken away, it has happened to me a couple of times and it sucks. On those occasions though I did go on to ovulate later in the cycle xx

Im going to the first of two baby showers planned for this week in about 30 mins. Meh.

Im super pleased my friend is pregnant, but she fell pregnant on her first attempt and im the only one in this group (of old school friends) who isn't pregnant or already a mum.
