As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

@firsttimemummy321 gah sorry you’re still in limbo! I can a line but I don’t know why it’s not getting darker. Very confusing. Hope you’re doing ok and fingers crossed it’s just the HCG developing slowly or something xxx

So I’ve just gone mad and emailed two private fertility clinics asking for more information. I know we need to try longer but it’s so difficult. It’ll be a year in April. We can’t get IVF on the NHS where we live anyway so I could waiting months/year to have all the checks done on the NHS when I found a local clinic that does a SA, hycosy etc for £550. I’m just considering getting the tests done for now. Ugh feeling so down about it today 😭 I know it’s just because it’s day 1 of AF

@Cams50 sorry AF got you, I always feel like that on the first day of AF.

@abi555 I can’t see anything on the first pic I’m afriad, I definitely can on the second post but I’m not sure it I would trust it after 2 hours, but then again it is pink rather than grey 🤔 I’m just skeptical becaue I always seem to get evaps.

Well my temp went down abit so god knows whats going on here!

I hadn’t been out of bed for 5 mins when my ankle went from under me FFS! Currently sat with an ice pack on it and a coffee 🙄

BFN from me! Ugh I hate my body so much!!! I just don’t understand where my AF is! My cervix is so high that I can’t feel it now which has never happened to me.

I don’t think I ovulated when I thought i I did. I think my big dip in temp on cycle day 22 was actually my ovulation- even though I had no EWCM or any other symptoms. Luckily I did DTD on that day just in case. I guess I will just have to see what happens over the next days. Annoyingly I didn’t take my temp this morning.

I’m glad I spoke to my GP and arranged to have blood tests (when AF eventually decides to show). I am definitely going to be taking soy isoflavones next cycle to bring my ovulation sooner.

Off to go eat a tub of biscoff spread now 😂

@laurat94 ooo wedding twin! We’ve got our ceremony booked for that date too after rearranging. I don’t know how hopeful I am though fingers crossed the ‘roadmap’ gives some ideas on Monday

@ChinChilly thanks! Oh no your poor ankle. Your temp could still go up in the next few days particularly as you had a positive opk over a few days so maybe you’ll ovulate today and see the rise tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

@Sperr nooo so frustrating. If you did ovulate CD17 how many dpo would you be now? Maybe you’re just too really for testing in that case.

Ugh frustrating and confusing bodies. I just want us all to get our bfps like now. Is that really too much too much to ask 😂😫

@Cams50 If I ovulate today I’ll be out this cycle as we haven’t DTD for a few days because of OH shifts! I’m not sure if my bodys had another go and failed again 🤔 I’m not sure what happened with the OPKs after yesterday morning as I ran out of OPKs so didn’t test again

@cams50 im very tempted to do the same. A clinic near me does a similar deal for £550. Im going to wait out this cycle first, talk to my doctor and see what she suggests then book to go private if nhs won't help out. Im not even that focused on getting pregnant at the mo... I just want to ovulate!!

@chinchilly hopefully its a fall back rise. If you put in a high temp tomorrow does it give you crosshairs? Sorry to hear about your ankle 😢 good excuse to stay indoors on this rainy day 😉

@Kay00 ahh good idea!! I just tried it and it gave me this. Fingers crossed that gives me a good shot at -1 & -2 from O. I can’t believe it I’m so clumsy! I walk the dog on the evenings when OH is on nights and I’m not sure I’ll be able to so he’ll just sit there staring at me all night and go on poo protest! Ffs

@Cams50 @Kay00 if you can both get deals like that at a private clinic it might be worth thinking about...seems like good value!

@Kay00 yeah that sounds like a good plan. I wonder would clomid or something help with the ovulation. Would your gp proscribe that or do you have to be referred to a specialist I wonder. Or hopefully the fodmap diet might help. Maybe you’ll notice a difference next cycle when that’s had time to kick in more. I think I need to bite the bullet and go for these tests. I’m nervous but it is actually a good deal that covers everything for quicker than the nhs and not that expensive. Just gets expensive when it comes to the ivf but one step at a time I guess!

@ChinChilly ah that’s good then. Hopefully they go up tomorrow and then you’re covered! Poo protest 😂 aw well you’ve got to rest it. Hope it feels better quickly.

@cams50 im not sure if GP would prescribe clomid... I'd like it if she did. My temporary GP specialises in female fertility so I'm keen to have a chat with her. I will be reporting back to her in 3 x weeks ref my FODMAP diet and how that has been going, so ill bring up my lack of/irregular ovulation.

If she wants me to wait until I'm a year into trying before referring me (local trust rules are a year of trying until aged 36+... and I will turn 36 just when I have been off the pill for a year in June/July), then I'm going to go private.

I'm also going to check my OH's private health care package which he pays for through work. He says its got bells and whistles on it... so maybe any investigations would be covered??

Chart attached for good measure. Pretty sure my body had another Estrogen surge/failed attempt at ovulation last week and it has petered out. Meh!

@Cams50 @Kay00 I would only be 12dpo now 🙃. I reckon I wasn’t ovulating when I was having 28 day cycles! I did remember when I was younger that I had long cycles so I was pretty surprised. I definitely want to bring ovulation sooner though.

So my DH spoke to GP today and asked for a SA to be done and it sounds like they will refer him. I’m sure he is fine but I guess if it isn’t then it’s going to take even longer then expected to TTC as I need to sort my thyroid out and actually ovulate otherwise I’m going to need help to ovulate regularly :/. I really hope the endo sees sense when I speak to them next week

@Cams50 I managed to hobble around the park so he could relieve his bowels 😂 we have a biggish garden he just likes to go on his walk 😂

@Moocher90 good you’re getting things moving, hopefully your endo is more helpful on the 24th!

@chinchilly I can’t let anything defeat me!! If me and DH work together then we will get there! I have already said to him I will be going private if the endo decides to not do anything at all and I will also book some tests privately for me to get the ball rolling. Private fertility clinics offer thyroid meds and also can start me on clomid. It won’t be cheap but if it means I can start actually ovulating and be in with a shot of pregnancy I will do what I have to do to achieve it

@chinchilly Hehe well done. I took my dogs for a walk around the streets... it was a but rubbish for them, but I had just cleaned through and mopped the floors and didn't fancy letting my doggos get muddy 😆

@cams50 I just broached the idea of the private fertility clinic with my OH... I think its a go-er! 😁😁😁

@Cams50 sorry to hear it wasn't this month for you. Hope you've enjoyed a nice treat day. Think you're dead right to do whatever you have to to get assurance. I'm planning to tell a small white lie at ten months of nothing happening and pretend it's twelve to kick off referrals etc as it takes such a long time to get appointments/testing etc. sounds like you're on the ball and for what you'd get that sounds like a great deal.

@Sperr here's hoping it was just a late ovulation. Good indicator to be moving back towards your pre pill normal rhythm either way.

@ChinChilly would love to see cross hairs for you tomorrow and the coverage would be great. Hope the ankle isn't bothering you too much. It's so easy to do.

@Moocher90 you sound like you’re in a great mindset! If you’re both happy with going private and can afford it...definitely go for it!

@Kay00 i know what you mean about mopped floors, we’ve got white and grey tiles in the hallway and they are a nightmare to keep clean with the dog! Good news you’re both up for private!

@Gracie2021 I’ve told my GP a white lie there aswell I told them I stopped taking the pill April/May not too much of a lie as i stopped towards the end of June.

I soooooo wish when i stopped taking the pill over 2 years ago i had just stayed off it 🙄

@ChinChilly same I wish once I came off the injection I didn’t go on mini pill for 5 months at least then it would nearly be 1 year!

@Moocher90 sometimes I think if I hadn’t of started taking it again I’d atleast be pregnant now or even have a baby...so frustrating

Bit of a 'blergh' day for me today. Found out one of our friends who had a baby in May is now 4 months preg with her second.... I am really happy for them , but it doesn't get any easier. Especially when you get the 'aren't you guys having kids anytime soon....'
On the small upside, my OH found choc orange twirls at the shop!! Which are really rare around here 😂 But we've given up choc for lent so only 41 days until we can eat them! 😂😂

Hi everyone, tough day with cramping and nausea and now my period has arrived bang on schedule... I think? Usually I get bright red bleeding to start but instead have pinkish brown sticky stuff. This has been the heaviest of it on tissue when I wipe, the rest so far is faint.

And the spotting x
