As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

@MissC07 was it you who said you hated your job? I've been really struggling with mine lately - I basically just stare at the screen all day and can't bring myself to do any of it! Zero motivation.

@ChinChilly My CM has gone creamy/lotiony too... but my cervix is still high, soft and open so... we'll see! I'm feeling much more positive about your Ov though - I'm sure your temp will just keep on going up and up!

@sperr maybe time to take the watch off haha! I hope you're able to test tomorrow!

All this holiday chat is making me dream of future travels. My OH and I never got married (we have been together for 17 years... 18 years in September!!) and I doubt it will happen (neither of us are that keen lol), but we have always joked we would have a 'we're not getting married' party... a big festival style party with kegs of ale/cider, a live band and glamping tents etc. followed by an exotic holiday. But it'll have to wait a few years longer I suspect!

Right... i'm off to do my food shop at the local Sainsburghs... which is about the most exotic place I have been all year!

@Juno231 gah... i'm really struggling with motivation in work too... I'm sure its a 2nd lockdown + shitty weather thing. Also, I was hoping to be pregnant by now!!

@Juno231 I hear you. I love my job but I have no energy for it and I'm still very preoccupied with the MC and feeling low! Means I'm getting about 1 thing a day done

@Juno231 Yep job hater here 🙋🏼‍♀️ I mean I know I'm extremely fortunate to have a job in current times but I hate it! I am literally bored just staring at my screen all day but I'm expected to be available within 2 seconds of my boss asking for something so I constantly feel on edge. I just feel useless and down the whole time. Desperately looking for a new job but worried I won't qualify for mat leave (that's even if I get another job as the market is so saturated with candidates at the moment!)

@Juno231 @TheDaydreamBelievers I’m the same i like my job but I’ve got no motivation atm! And my boss is so annoying she’s nice enough but shes got no idea!

@MissC07 I had a notification for a job in indeed it had only been up an hour and had gotten over 400 applications 😮

Sorry I haven't checked latest replies - 10dpo and on the sofa waiting for food to cook. I feel nauseous and crampy with gas and bloating, really bad. Weird because I feel OK one minute (today I did housework, ate lunch, showered, put makeup on, started organising some things) and feel awful the next like I need to go to the bathroom. May be my IBS though because I do get these episodes, especially around my period. Due tomorrow. I just want to feel less sick! Cramps (uterus and stomach) coming in waves. Hope everyone else is doing better!

@ChinChilly It's insane isn't it!!! We had a job at work and there were 300 applications in the first day! Most didn't have any experience but their situations must be so awful right now people are clutching at anything. God I miss 'normal' life. Let's hope BoJo provides some sort of glimmer of hope on Monday!

@MissC07 it is crazy! I even miss the office atmosphere at this point! We have quite a bantery team and everyone gets on. I can’t even imagine how some people must be feeling we are so lucky that me and OH have kept our jobs, he even got a new one and we’ve actually benefited from things like interest rates on our mortgage. So hoping for some normality soon 😭

@Juno231 Hmmm, see I knew I wanted to 'create a little family' in 2020 and really envisioned myself pregnant but IT DIDNT TURN OUT THAT WAY, DID IT CHRISTINE?!

@Juno231 can I just admit a horrible secret that I spoke with a “medium” (who i paid) who asked how I was trying for before giving me a prediction of when I would get pregnant and basically told me any time within the year of the date I said I had stopped taking the pill. I was like I know that ffs 🤦🏽‍♀️ never felt so stupid in my life for paying for that 😂😂😂😂😂

OMGOMG is anyone awake to double check this test as I may have delusional line eyes! Why would you be its 6am on a sat morning FFS! Held wee for as long as I could this morning as so nervous and now sat on toilet shaking!! Its really really faint but I think it is there!! So scared to tell me OH in case it's not as I already told him I was out this month. Aaaaaaaaaaaah!!

I'm really sorry though, I don't think I can see a second line. I think I can maybe see a shadow of something in the second pic? Sorry I know that's definitely not the answer you want!

@abi555 I've literally just woken up so my eyes are still a bit fuzzy. I think I can see a faint shadow at the top of the second pic. How many dpo are you? How was your temp this morn?

Aaaaah, I hate that it's not a definite BFP/BFN either way as the photos to be fair don't show it as well. There was a definite line by 20mins past but I'm trying to discount that as it says read at 3 mins and I think first response might give evap lines? I'm 13dpo and temp went up again this morning. Pretty certain if it is that didn't implant until 11dpo as had bad cramping then. Don't know what to think! Would you trust a definite line at 20mins after testing or assume that is evap? Hurry up tomorrow morning haha!

Eeek, I've done the thing they tell you not to and looked at it again 2 hours later and it looks like this now, but is obvs v old now! Thanks ladies, appreciate all views as know its a real squinter and to be honest with lines that faint they may just disappear over next few days anyway. Must control excitement until tomorrow morning!

@abi555 I saw something in that second pic in your first post and in that second post it’s so strong! If it helps, I looked at my bfn yesterday after a few hours and I can assure you it stayed as a stark white bfn 😂 congrats!!

@Juno231 ffs if only I’d manifested it! Could’ve saved myself 10 months of trying.

So I started bleeding this morning 😭 I had big time gotten my hopes up. Making it to 11dpo is a huge deal for me so I know I need to be happy with that but it never gets any easier. This was my best chart and my temps are high so I didn’t expect it. I was even making plans if when I’d test again 😒 but my temps will come down in a few days when full AF comes I’m sure. Onto month 11. I don’t even know how we’re going to sort this SA as they haven’t gotten back to us and they’re so far away etc. Anyway I’m going to treat myself to a day of bad food, caffeine and alcohol before trying to be good starts again tomorrow.

Sorry for the big catch up but you guys have been chatty since yesterday morning 😂

An 'update' on me... Erratic temps again?! 😩 Or ovulation is coming?!

All the physical signs are there! I've got lots of fertile fluid, cervix was high soft and open when I checked first thing this morning, higher sex drive... But OPKs are negative 🤔

Back to the old 'wait and see' but I'll be absolutely amazed if this is O at this early stage of my cycle! Like, astounded...

@LauraT94 that's really interesting to read - thanks so much. I had no idea about baseline HCG levels but it makes sense and explains why there can be such differences with early testing results

@Cams50 I'm so sorry, was so hopeful for you this month. Enjoy all the naughty things and take care of yourself. And good news about your longer LP for future cycles at least!
