As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

@Kay00 I have a friend who hates cardamom and sometimes I think about how I shouldn't be friends with her anymore 😂

@Juno231 haha 😂 every time I get AF I eat everything and treat myself to a good few glasses of wine which doesn’t help any getting fit plans!

I’m 10DPO today and did a test this morning but bfn of course. I was just super hopeful because as you all know I normally start spotting earlier than this and this is the best chart I’ve ever had temp wise - like no dips etc. But I’ve no symptoms or anything. I’m torn between trying to stay hopeful- still early days, I did go to the toilet in the night so wasn’t really a great hold for fmu etc. To get real!! It won’t happen 😅 I suppose the fact that it’s a slightly better lp so far is a huge positive for me so must try to see it that way. But I’d prefer a bfp of course 😂

@Cams50 I know how devastating a short LP is each month, so for you to get to double figures, I'm over the moon for you! My fingers are still crossed it's a BFP, but in the meantime, yay for a longer LP!

@Juno231 That is so me when AF arrives. Surrounded by cakes and chocolate. Although last month with my chemical, I stupidly thought going for a run and skipping would encourage AF to properly begin. Now I know it wasn't AF, it's made me conscious not to start exercising like a crazy lady in the TWW! Soooo...more cake and chocolate it is then!

Sorry I've been quiet for a few days, just wasn't much to report!

Woken up with a big temp dip this morning, watery cm and a sky high sex drive 🤔 I'd love to say that I could be in for a super early ovulation (for me) but I think it must just be an LH surge! Will test later today and see where I'm at.

@Cams50 I'm so excited for you with the longer LP! As @FlyingGiraffe says, even if not a BFP (which it totally still could be!) it's still a great sign ❤️

@Juno231 haha that meme is me all the month, all the time 😂 my appetite plummeted and I could barely eat when I was pregnant so at least I know I'll lose a few lbs in those first weeks anyway! Also, I'll admit that while I don't hate it, cardamom isn't my favourite spice 😩 too many traumatic experiences as a kid of eating a curry and biting into a whole pod you weren't expecting!!

My temp finally moved!! When I first woke up my temp showed 34.11 🤣 closed my trap for a couple mins and tried again and it came back with a more normal figure

@Juno231 not a lot to report weirdly! Normally I have a million pre AF symptoms (I’ve seriously had everything including nausea!!) and I have nothing really! The only things I would say I have is I’m really tired (but I have had a really long week at work so it could be that) and I’m so hungry! I had some biscoff toast after dinner yesterday which is so not like me (I also think I’m addicted to it now 😂). I had cramps from 12dpo for a few days but they have stopped now! I have been having really weird dreams as well but I’ve also had that pre AF as well!

Temp was pretty much the same today (still high) but I was sleeping with my mouth open! I feel really warm as well. I actually didn’t even put a thick coat on today to go to work and where I live is like the windiest place ever 😂

@LauraT94 OMG the whole pod in the curry has got me a few times, i hate that! I guess I’m potentially in the TWW will see if FF confirms it in the next couple of days

@FlyingGiraffe aw thanks so much! You’re absolutely right. I need to be grateful for the longer lp. Just so hard not to get your hopes up for a bfp!! But on the plus side those b vits must have helped so hope they do for you too. Thanks @Kay00 for the recommendation!

@LauraT94 and @ChinChilly thanks! It’s probably not my month but have to be happier with the lp so far. I’ve probably jinxed myself now and will get AF today 🤣 hopefully not. @ChinChilly yay for the temp rise! I didn’t think 34.11 was possible so your later one sounds more accurate 😂 @LauraT94 eek I wonder if it is ovulation for you! If not it’s great your body is getting more back into the lh surges etc.

@Sperr I think that is promising if you normally get more PMS symptoms! I’m hoping your tests arrive soon!

@Sperr are you going to get a FRER today? How far are you from the nearest pharmacy? You must be 17DPO now?

@LauraT94 not a lot happening here... thanks for asking. Chart attached. The only thing giving my a glimmer of home is my cervix has been SHOW the last few days and I have been very wet... and my sex drive has been on the up (which is nice haha)! But, I suspect it will just fizzle out.

@Kay00 thanks! I know. I think I need to have had my period for a week before the hope fades 😂 Eek they’re really promising signs! I really hope this is your ovulation. This is still within your timeframe for ovulation in the past isn’t it.

@Sperr I think the lack of AF symptoms sounds like a good sign! I am so hopeful for you. I can't wait until you test 😂 I would also love to see your chart!

So I didn't temp for 1 day and it drove me mad! So now decided I am going to keep temping during the TWW. The wait and see thing didn't work for me, turns out I like obsessing over every dip and rise!

@Juno231 sorry mad with work so I've to do mass catch ups. Just enjoying a couple weeks here with no thoughts of TTC before FW hits. When do you get the blood test results back? Can't get over the wait til your July app. I'm not great with patience but hopefully it will pass quickly for you.

@Kay00 you made me spit my tea out! "Everything crossed for you (except my legs of course)" = GOLD!! Fingers crossed for the O. Had some looong cycles post pill and the frustration is unreal. CM looks really positive though.

@FlyingGiraffe hope the smilies keep coming and good timing for the weekend too. Yeah I was like clockwork pre pill and finally getting back to that now so feeling really lucky. O has been CD 17/18 for last three cycles so can't complain at all.

@Flowers222 I've decided to temp through cycles too. Tbh I found it helped me not obsess during my TWW because I knew immediately when I was out and didn't even have to bother with the hassle and disappointment of testing. Still falling asleep most morning with the therm up the foof but what can you do 😂😂🙈🙈 maybe we're all just data nerds....

@Flowers222 and @Gracie2021 thanks! Trying to manage by expectations but it’s hard 😬 I’m the exact same with the data 😂 I keep saying I’ll take a month off everything but I know it wouldn’t take my mind off it and instead I’d just be wondering what was going on

@Cams50 10DPO is def too early to rule yourself out, I keep seeing ladies on my other bus checking 10DPO and having BFNs only to get a BFP a couple of days later.

@Gracie2021 not a scooby on the test results! I'll leave it a week and call the phlebotomy reception to see. (and check patient access in the meantime just in case)

So I had a couple of positive OPKs yesterday, I’ve just pissed on my finally OPK stick and its still positive...does anybody know whether you take it from the first positive or the last? 🤔 I’ve got no more OPKs left and I promised myself I wouldn’t buy anymore 😂

@ChinChilly I've always read to take it from the start of the surge but god knows if that's right.

@Juno231 I thought I had seen somewhere you take it from the start but not sure if its right either...Premom have it a lower reading than yesterday but not sure if I trust that app. My CM has dried up so I’m wondering if yday was ovulation and my LH levels just haven’t come down yet

@ChinChilly @Juno231 it happens in so many shows and all over instagram! I forgot there is literally a whole episode of Parks and Rec about who is pregnant! Then the next episode has a scan complete with heartbeat. I need a preggo free show.

So yesterday I had two baby announcements hit me. One on my old work whatsapp group - where an old colleague had a baby boy two days ago (and there's another one due in 2 weeks). Once the second one is born that's all 6 team members with babies/toddlers and I'm the last one without!

The other one was a uni friend on insta showing her baby girl (she's one of those that never announces a pregnancy but just all of a sudden has a baby). Thing is, that's her THIRD baby in three years. Can't help but be a bit jealous!

Oh and one last week cheesed me off as it declared she was going into her third trimester - I did the maths and it means she got preggers the cycle after her wedding... Wth.
