As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

@ChinChilly YAS! Finally something! And don't worry - my cycles are shorter than yours but I've def kicked up a fuss before anyway! My favourite is Feb last year where I stopped testing with OPKs on CD15 cause I was convinced I'd missed it/it wasn't happening... wtf.

@sperr def a FRER from town if it doesn't arrive!

Just been to the hospital this morning for my blood tests as it's CD3. They took four vials so I reckon there must be more than just my day 3 test they're doing lol. Glad to have that done and dusted though.

@Juno231 that is exactly how I have behaved this time! 😂😂 I’ve said I’m not buying any more OPK’s but ask me again in around 2 weeks!

Great you got your bloods done, wonder what else they will be testing for

@Juno231 oh wow that’s great about the bloods! Maybe that’ll flag your TSH levels. Who gives you the results for that? GP or specialist?

@cams50 not my GP as it's a hospital referred blood test so I think the GP is completely cut out of the loop now. It does beg the question how I'll find out my results though (ie do I have to wait until July?)

@Cams50 @Juno231 it’s cute in theory... my OH is a competitive boxer (I should say was. He’s too old for that now 😂) and he absolutely loves Tyson fury so he bought a “gypsy king” baby grow. I said what if we have a girl and he was like but we won’t 🤣😂

@Juno231 is there a phlebotomy reception or something? You might be able to ring there. They’ll probably say everything is normal of course. But you could ask for the numbers from them I’d say?

@sperr haha I hope you have a girl now! My OH is ex army and aaaaalll of the officers from his mess have had girls. Not a single boy. Apparently it's known as the soldiers curse lol

@cams50 good shout! I'd definitely demand to see the results though after all the crap I've seen on MN ha

@Juno231 that’s so funny! OH’s best friend is having a girl due in April so I don’t think it would be the end of the world for him 😂. Every single person in his family have had a boy and then a girl so I think he thinks that will happen for hun

@flyinggiraffe @cams50 I know so annoying, I’m CD40 at the minute I feel bad complaining when the last one got to CD137 but I was so hoping things would settle down a bit better than this. I’m really confused though my RHR is climbing like I’ve ovulated (chart attached) but FF says no 🤦🏻‍♀️

@juno231 hopefully you’ll find out results way before July somehow, I second trying to ring phlebotomy direct

@Juno231 I access all my test results through the NHS app. Maybe try that to see if you can see your medical record and your test results. Just need to have photo ID the first time to set it up.

@Sperr I am amazed you haven't tested yet! I would have run out to buy a test days ago!

@ChinChilly really glad it looks like something is finally happening!

@flowers222 yeah the NHS app was great - I had it at my previous GP before the move in Oct. The new GP only has patient access and it's rubbish - it shows what tests have been run but none of the results??

OH just came home with the most amazing cinna-buns from a local baker, anyone who has instagram check her out her instagram name is cinnabox_ she does postal orders too 🤤

@ChinChilly hm i did wonder if it just struggled with past tests but will be fine going forward. Let's hope so! I'll have a look at the cinnabuns now!

@chinchilly i'm super glad to see you got your +OPK... yey!! I'm only a little bit jealous hehe!

My cervix was really high and soft and open last night... and my boobs were tingling... so I jumped on my OH! but my temps and OPKs are still flat. Damn!

@Juno231 hopefully it works going forward, my previous test results are all on there but I’ve been at the same surgery since i was born so that’s probs why!

@Kay00 keeping everything crossed something happens for you soon! It’s so bloody frustrating!

The cinnabuns tasted as good as they looked! OH brought them back just as I’d finished an assignment so it was perfect timing and they were still warm 🤤

And I would literally murder a China bun right now... haha, my GF crumpets for lunch didn't quite cut it!

As a swede I must say I prefer my cinnamon buns without the gloop up top! But ideally, I'd like a cardamom bun over a cinnamon one any day of the week. YUM.

@Juno231 I get what you mean about the gloop! The crinnamons (cinnabum crossed with a crossaint) was my fave! Oooo I’ve never a tried a cardamom bun!

@ChinChilly crinnamons?! okay that sounds amazing. I've never managed to score any cronuts either which annoys me as it sounds right up my street.

@Juno231 he came home with a box of the cinnabuns with gloop and the crinnamons, the crinnamons were 100% the best! M&S are doing a new range of cronuts!

@kay00 @Flowers222 thank you! After my last cycle I think I’ve lost my ability to be excited about AF being late 😂. I mean I wasn’t temping back then so I was just going on cycle length so at least now I know I’m not being crazy if I got excited but I just can’t bring myself to have disappointed again!

On Saturday I will allow myself to get excited.

@Juno231 @ChinChilly Mmmm... Cardamon is one of my favourites, I particularly love cardamon and rose cake I even have a jo malone scent with cardamon in ... I love it!!
