As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

Today I attended a fertility seminar at work and during the Q&A I asked about TSH. The IVF specialist said it was "critical" TSH is under 2.5 and that it not only lowers fertility but if I do manage to get pregnant my babies will be at risk of learning disabilities because of it. Shame my fertility doc didn't let me say anything about it and didn't have my results at hand for the call!

@Juno231 that’s crazy! So frustrating the specialist didn’t give you more time or that GPs don’t know more about this. I do wonder if going private would mean they’d look into things more, treat things quicker etc. It seems so common to have raised TSH though so I wonder if that’s worst case scenario she’s talking about.

@MissC07 so sorry to hear your job is being rubbish... I know whats its like to work in a male dominated workplace... they gang up and its like being in an old boys club... horrible! I got right out of there! I'm really happy where I am now, its a big company but they seem to be really relaxed with their staff management.

@Juno231 A fertility seminar in work?! Wow, you workplace seems really progressive! Also, that's very interesting what the fertility expert said about TSH.

@Juno231 that’s interesting/scary about the TSH so frustrating that GPs don’t do more about it.

I feel really drained by TTC (probs lockdown life too) I’m really starting to feel like I can’t be bothered with it. I’m not buying any more OPKs after this lot are gone. I tried to subscribe to the FF premium and the payment didn’t work for some reason (just been paid so there was moolars in my account) so I’m taking it as a sign. I’ve got my blood test next week so I suppose we’ll just go from there. I think it’s mainly because I know it’s not going to happy while my TSH is so high so it kind of feels like what’s the point?

@ChinChilly Sorry you're feeling so drained. It really is tough each month going through the same hopes and disappointment...especially when you know something is possibly not right like your TSH. Maybe just aim at DTD every other day from day 8 of your cycle and skip the opk testing.

@Nellieee Ah bummer! Well on the bright side, a 12 day LP is really good. I think if you've done a couple of months charting and opks and your cycles are regular then maybe going old school is the way to try?! My GP recommended just BD 2-3 times a week.

@Gracie2021 That little chart is helpful on FF! Have you ovulated around the same time each month?

@Juno231 Gosh, that's scary that the IVF specialist felt that it was so important and then the GP's just don't seem to want to know! I wish GP's had a bit more training on this stuff.

CD12 today and no sign of O. I've been using the CB advanced digital ovulation tests again and i'm on day 3 of blank faces! Really hoping I get the flashing smiley face tomorrow! I had smileys from cd11 last month and peak on day 15 so fingers crossed it isn't far away.

I’ve got temps all over the place and still a tentative confirmation of O 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve ordered grapefruit juice on my new asda shop in prep for AF because I’m convinced she must be on her way and because you ladies are enablers 😂😂

Especially when... I got a letter today for my follow up appointment and it's for the 8th of July 😭

@FlyingGiraffe yeah I think I’ll do the BBT just for info but I’m not gonna do the OPKs after I’ve used the few I’ve got left...all feels pointless!

@Juno231 8th of July????? WTF! Ffs they make you wait a year before the GP will do anything then the appointments take that long 😤

Will be 9dpo today/tomorrow (Thurs). Feel really queasy and gassy tonight, I have ibs/endo so it happens a lot but usually not this bad at this point in the cycle. Just feel woozy and have some mild cramping. Didn't each much this evening and sat down with a cup of tea before but could only stomach half! It's probably just my endometriosis though!

I got a flashing smiley on the CB advanced digital this morning on CD13 so I'm happy something might be happening!

@FlyingGiraffe Ooo, ovulation must be just round the corner for you

No temp rise here 🙄 the latest I’ve ovulated it CD17, I had some pinching and twinges yesterday which I thought might be ovulation pain but obvs not as my temp went down slightly again, got a feeling this might be an anovulatory cycle.

@FlyingGiraffe temp went down again this morning and now FF has removed the crosshairs 😂 so I guess it’s back to DTD and checking CM and OPKs. So frustrating. Your O sounds like it’s around the corner which is great get DTD!

16dpo here! Temp. Rise again 🤞. Patiently waiting for my ICs to arrive . I actually accidentally ordered them to the wrong address but luckily I noticed straight away and changed it because I’d sent them to my old job 🤣🤣🤣.

@Sperr Are they definitely arriving today? That could've been awkward if they'd arrived at your old workplace! Haha! I really hope this is your month! It's sounding promising!

@ChinChilly You might just have a little bit later O this month...your temps are nice and consistently low. Things like being ill, stress etc can push it back a little bit. I wouldn't give up hope yet!

@Juno231 ugh that’s such a long wait. But hopefully it gets brought forward like your first one! And better still - bfp arrives first! Hopefully the HSG helps with that.

@ChinChilly I wouldn’t worry as I’ve ovulated anywhere from CD16-23 so hopefully it’ll happen soon. Your temps are so consistent which is great. Mine couldn’t be rockier- I’m definitely a mouth breather and light sleeper!

@FlyingGiraffe now they are saying arriving on Monday 🙃. Never online shop in a rush!! If they don’t come by Saturday I’ll just buy a FRER in town!

@Cams50 I know! I’m actually praying that they don’t. Well now that I know that your LP can technically be 17 days if AF hasn’t come by Saturday I’m safe 😂. It’s my first month temping so I’m not 100% sure how long my others were but I think my longest was only 14!

Oh and p.s OH has bought a baby grow 😳. I thought it would be me that would do something crazy like that 🤣🤣🤣

Ok, drama over! Something is starting to happen! I will not have anyone say I’m a drama queen 😂😂
