Really fed up of AF showing up month after month now 🤦🏼‍♀️ we've been taking the see what happens but dtd lots approach. But now going into month 7 so We've decided to use the clear blue opk's to see if it gives us a better chance. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Now to just wait for AF to disappear 😀

Any one else ttc #1? 😀

@rosiej95 another day of flashing smiley , that’s day 5. No idea if that’s normal or not. X.

glow92 · 22/02/2021 09:05

Hey @Loops01 thanks for asking, I was about to give up testing on CD21 but decided to pop an OPK in my bag to do at work and started to get more of a line! Peaked early morning CD22 🙂.
Baffled jumping to such a longer cycle than 25 days last month but rolling with it and seeing what happens, just praying for a longer luteal phase than 8 days this time 🤞🏼.
Please hang in there, I never would have guess my O would have been on day 23!

rosiej95 · 22/02/2021 09:17

@AZ1992X I've read about a couple of extra days being flashy? Hopefully you get your static soon 🤞🏻

Well it's officially out of my hands now 🙈 so now it's just a waiting game.. I hate this bit 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

@glow92 that's great news! If it helps I am cd14 and no flashies but I think my cycle may be longer this month so I read this morning that an ovulation in cd20 odd is not too uncommon! Glad you ovulated at least. Always something.

Let me know how you all get on! I am hoping there doesn't need to be ttc cycle #8 thread haha

AZ1992X · 22/02/2021 10:07

@rosiej95 I still have hope then, maybe it’s just taking a while to get to my peak!

Fingers crossed for you, that wait is awful ain’t it - feels so long as well.

@Loops01 Hope you get your smileys soon!
Agreed, I think the longer it goes on the more down you get about it - or maybe that’s just me overthinking things.

X

glow92 · 22/02/2021 10:50

I think there's just something about Feb, I've spoken to so many people who've had a random delay this month!

Yes that's what I saw about day 20, that's why I was ready to give up... then a day later....
Ov symptoms definitely not as noticeable this time though, so there is a small voice in my head questing if I definitely have.

AZ1992X · 23/02/2021 07:44

Day 6 and still flashing smiley!

Loops01 · 23/02/2021 08:11

Thanks glow. That helps a bit to know I'm not the only one. Still no smiley! This is probably the latest I've been in about 4 months and if anything the best/healthiest I've been! Hoping for it soon - running out of sticks!!!

rosiej95 · 27/02/2021 07:40

How's everyone getting on?? ☺️

AZ1992X · 27/02/2021 07:46

Hi @rosiej95 , I’ve finally had my peak this morning - it’s been a long week thinking it wasn’t coming. I noticed signs two days ago so kept testing and it’s come.

How are you?

rosiej95 · 27/02/2021 08:41

@AZ1992X ahh brilliant 😍😍 now the fun begins 😜😂

All good here Thankyou I never know weather to take the first day of static smiley or the second day as the start of dpo so I'm either 6 or 7dpo & it's dragging now but apart from that all good Thankyou :)

AZ1992X · 27/02/2021 12:06

@rosiej95 it’s going to be long week or two! Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

Good to hear, 😊I’m saying 1st only because the line almost looked the same yesterday so think I was almost there! 😂 or I’m telling myself that!

TTCat39 · 27/02/2021 12:21

Hello Smile I'm TTC #1 and am currently in the dreaded TWW. In reference to the flashing smileys - I'm also using the Clearblue OPK's, but on the advice of other on MN opted for the old style pink ones, which only measure your two most fertile days. So you either get a O or a static smiley. I've used them for two months and both cycles got a static smiley on CD11. I too would find it very stressful getting day after day of flashing smileys, so I think it was the right decision for us. We have been DTD every day from CD6 to CD14 for 4 months now. No luck as yet, neurotic every TWW, devastated every month AF arrives, fretting about our fertility slipping away with our advancing age, and really just counting the months until it's acceptable to seek help from GP! Sorry, feeling pessimistic clouds rolling in today Sad

Loops01 · 27/02/2021 14:25

I too have not long had static smiley on cd17 which appear to be the same day for me for 4 months now. I was taking the tests in the morning due to work and getting nothing and became really upset then noticed some CM so tested in the afternoon and got static. After 11 days of testing! So at least I know my body and apps are pretty much spot on. Funny how different everyone is. In the TWW now. Thankfully kept up with DTD even though it was constantly empty faces. If not successful this month I am going to try easy@home or just generic strips as, even though I prefered the clearblue, I can't always test in the afternoon when the surge is so it would be easier to see the 2 lines more visibly.
How are you getting on @rosiej95? What you must be nearing end of cycle soon? AF is predicted March 11th for me I think or around then. Not too long to wait but feels like forever!

Loops01 · 27/02/2021 14:30

@TTCat39 it is only natural to feel down. I have had quite a few tears this month already because of thinking I missed a month ovulating but thankfully trusted my body and it was a relief to see that CM! Just keep up the work and talk to us or friends and family if you feel you can as that is the only way I find I can get through it. One day soon we will all get pregnant and hopefully have a lovely healthy baby. I worry about infertility as we are both 31 and like you say, ageing! I just try to reassure myself that tracking for so long means I know i ovulate and I am regular for me. I have learned so much about my body through these 7 months and I hope you have that benefit too. I have gone a but ott with the healthy eating and vitamins etc but feel better for it. Just to take it day by day. Sorry if its a ramble but I feel ya and I am sure others on here do too. You're not alone!

TTCat39 · 27/02/2021 15:53

Thank you @Loops01
I'm on the vitamins too, healthy eating (when I'm not so sad that only a massive bar of fruit & nut will do!), plenty of water, exercise often, monitoring CM, BBT, OPK, using fertility lubricant, no booze for a LONG long time Grinand got my husband doing the same. Just have to keep trying and hoping! All the best to all the couples TTC, it's certainly a hard slog! x

Loops01 · 27/02/2021 16:01

Haha sounds like what I was like early on. Just try not to let it run your life. It's a lot easier said than done. The odd thing here and there won't do any harm I don't think. I have started taking inositol and take more protein powder (different types) which helps me up my fluids but if anything if it doesn't boost fertility it should be good for the body. It is comforting to know others are doing as much and still no end result yet. Hopefully nothing underlying and just takes some time. I'm too impatient haha

AZ1992X · 01/03/2021 19:25

How’s everyone doing? When are people due their AF?

I hate this wait and still have over a week to go!

rosiej95 · 01/03/2021 19:45

Hey @AZ1992X
10dpo tomorrow 🎉
Got some frers coming tomorrow too
I will be honest I don't feel any different at all.. my boobs have hurt every now & then but nothing major.
I'm kinda scared to test tbf because if it's a bfn I think I will genuinely cry 😂🙈

How are you doing?

OP posts:
AZ1992X · 01/03/2021 19:50

Hey @rosiej95, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I’m ok just have a feeling it’s going to be a long week. Just hate this time and just dreading it being negative again , it’s getting harder each month!

rosiej95 · 01/03/2021 19:55

@AZ1992X how many dpo are you?

I've found I've been quite busy so it's not gone as slow as previous 2ww But it does get harder and harder every 2ww 😞
Just wish there was some way of knowing straight away it would be so much easier 😂

OP posts:
AZ1992X · 01/03/2021 20:00

@rosiej95 I’ve got a lot longer to go! Think it was 2 days ago (well almost 3 now). 😂😂 it’s deffo dragging for me.

Yup, imagine knowing straight after - would be a game changer 😂😂!

Loops01 · 01/03/2021 21:10

I am only 2 dpo but normally I feel something by now like a bit of pain. I was 4dpo last time and just knew I was going to get AF. Fingers crossed no feelings is good feelings, for you too @rosiej95. I was listening to a podcast and they said that they made a list every month to save getting too down. For example, if its a positive then they will treat themselves to something they haven't really been having. Theirs was a weak coffee and if it was negative then they would have that glass or two of wine that they had been abstaining from and buy a pair of shoes. I have decided to do that this month. If its positive then I can buy 1 baby thing (I love buying baby things but trying not too due to the sadness of not actually having one) and have some chocolate (not had any for 3 weeks now mainly for lent haha). If it's negative then I too will have a glass of wine and a takeaway! Will see how that works. I'm sure I'll still be crying one way or another! Keep us posted on outcome!!

rosiej95 · 02/03/2021 08:55

@AZ1992X hopefully it goes quick for you! Will you test early or hold out? :D

@Loops01 true, I've woken up with af cramps this morning tho so not 100% convinced this is the month 😞

I usually do the same the first couple of days of af I have a little cry (mainly the last couple of months cause just feel it's taking ages now 😂🙈) then I have a runny egg for breakfast & then some wine in the evening & then I shake a tail feather & get back on it 😂

I deffo think it's a good way to keep you going tbf.
I'm really hoping that these tests don't take forever to arrive today too 😂🙈

OP posts:
rosiej95 · 02/03/2021 13:38

Well bfn 😞 I know it's early but it's still gutting 🤦🏼‍♀️
& the realisation that I'll be going into cycle 8 if AF does show up is really shit 😥
Ttc is so frustrating...
