Really fed up of AF showing up month after month now 🤦🏼‍♀️ we've been taking the see what happens but dtd lots approach. But now going into month 7 so We've decided to use the clear blue opk's to see if it gives us a better chance. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Now to just wait for AF to disappear 😀

Any one else ttc #1? 😀

@Amy259 yes, I think so. Gonna keep tracking my bbt to try and work out when I ovulate. Not sure if that’s torturing myself as I cannot try 🙈

@Loops01 is that reading similar to your other peaks from other cycles?

So the one with the high peak was 2 months ago which was later ovulation but it was also one of my longer cycles (31 days). Then this cycle is saying my peak was yesterday at 0.6 which also read as 0.4 on rescan. I wouldn't consider it a peak at all since I was 0.2/0. 3 throughout cycle. Hoping that today there's a big jump but so far it's just 0.4 again which makes no sense. The other cycles before that were with clear blue and they were static smilies from Cd15 and 16 for a few then before that it was higher due to longer cycles. Think I'll try the SIs. No harm. Tried everything else haha.

From the tests you can actually see the 0.6 and the 0.4 scanning. It's the same test!

@Loops01 How strange that it gives two different readings when it’s the same test!! Very confusing.

Let us know how your next few tests go - fingers crossed it goes up.

The ones today have been 0.4 then 0.3. At work now until 1am so will get 1 or 2 tests to see if it continues to go down or what! Fed up of it. Its upsetting and frustrating!

Retook my pregnancy test as they tell you to after 3 weeks and looks negative now, was still a line a week ago so looks like I’m almost back. Hoping AF don’t take too long to show up now!

They all look roughly the same to me! Still no dark line so no true ovulation. Meant to have my day 21 bloods on tue. I don't even see the point in changing it to a later date now because I don't think I can take the 0.6 that also scanned as a 0.4 as ovulation. Don't know when ovulation was. I guess that bloods will tell me that I've not ovulated which is not a surprise. Don't know what the Dr will do with the results. As in I will do another one next month or not? I'm just wanting this cycle over with in order to see if the next one is better. Next predicted ovulation isn't until end of June. Wishing my life away. Funny how we long not to see AF but actually we want it so often just to get it over and done with.

That's good your test is back (in some way). Were you OK taking it? As in are you able not to be too emotional? The after care from gps is ridiculous when you think about. You've just been left to figure it all out yourself, it's not really fair. I hope your partner is being supportive! I wonder how different your new cycle will be, if at all. Body is a strange thing.

Sorry @Loops01, are you carrying on testing a few more days just incase? , yes I know what you mean you shouldn’t wish time away but equally you just want it to to come around again so you can try again.

I was ok taking it - I’m kinda relieved in a way as Im hoping it means it’s nearly over 🤞, just hate not knowing when AF will be due. I did think that - could my cycle/s be different so will see - it’s like starting right again for scratch with no idea when I’ll ovulate and how long my cycle will be.

Partner has been amazing, I got a massive bouquet of flowers with a lovely note which actually made me cry (happy tears), I think it’s made us stronger in a way.

Agree about the doctor - I hoping I’ll not have to go through this again but I’ve learnt so much so if I do I know what to expect now x.

Yeah I'll carry on testing for the next week or until it goes down til 0.2/0.1 if that is sooner. Its really infuriating. Honestly at the point of saying F it I give up with everything but I just want it so badly I don't think I could give up as much as part of me wants to.

I'm glad you're more in the know. It is sadly a very common thing and it must be really upsetting to go through. Are you testing for ovulation at all or just going to wait for the next cycle?

@Loops01 good idea - how long have you been using these opks? How are you finding them compared to clearblue?

I’ve done two ovulation strips the last two days just to see what it says but both around 0.2 - Not sure if to keep going or not, I’m measuring my bbt so if that gives any indication might test then. Got a box of the easy@home ones left and going start using them properly when the next cycle starts .

It must be hard - hopefully it’s just an off cycle or delayed ovulation and you’ll be back on track soon. Don’t give up! ❤️

Been using these for 3 months. Had 3 months of clear blue and prefer the easy@home ones. The months before that were just cheap ones. I think if I had a rough idea of when ovulation was meant to be every month then id go back to cheap ones but the easy@home are not too bad price wise in comparison to clear blue!!

Thank you and the rest for your help and support. It's really appreciated when you know that 'normal' folk around us don't get this. Even DH doesn't understand at times. 0.2 is not too bad. I had 0.2 and 0.3 leading upto AF and throughout AF before it dipped and then started to rise nearing FW. I keep thinking right next cycle it is but it is tough to keep saying that! As we all know! Had a few breakdowns this cycle and I know i need to focus less on it but it is difficult. Next FW should be during annual leave and over our birthday so we will see how that goes!

That’s good to know - thank you, I was really struggling with clearblue so was finding it hard to pin the exact day so ended up dtd over a long period of time. I’m hoping these will help me and as you say there a lot cheaper than clearblue.

No problem - it’s nice having people to talk to, most of my friends have already had kids/are pregnant so don’t think they understand. I’m trying to keep busy until AF arrives to distract me but agree it’s hard to not think about it.

I'm going crazy. The last 3 tests results are all 1 test on the same background. Don't know what value to go for! Normally easy@home are well easy! I think I'm going to stop testing soon. Chart is all over the place!

My apps saying 11dpo today & 4 days until af (I know the apps arnt reliable i just have the app as a guide, tbh I dtd throughout just incase it's wrong) did a frer yesterday & bfn am starting to think it'll never happen now. So fed up
Recon it'll be cycle 11 for me now.

Aww sorry @rosiej95. Everything else still OK? I feel you lovely. You're doing as much as you can. Are you getting referred after 12 months or anything? I'll be with you for cycle 11 but I'm not due to ovulate until end of June/July so won't be directly with you sorry!

Hello everyone. I’m 5 days late now. I did a test this morning and I think I can see something but probably wishfully thinking and my body is adjusting to comin off the pill. I came off early March. Period due 26th April but still no sign. Lots of symptoms, nausea, hip pain funny taste headaches but still not clear test. Definitely a thin line but a bit vague. I’ll attach pics

@Loops01 do you take your temp? I had a similar cycle ages ago where I ovulated early but only caught the end of my peak at 0.65 so wasn’t sure if I’d actually peaked or not (I hope that makes sense 😂). But because I track bbt, when my temp spiked two mornings later I knew it had been early ov. And I know I sit around 36.0 before ov and 36.6 after, so now I could check randomly in my cycle and know if it has happened or not?
Although your shifts might make it too tricky??

@AZ1992X hope the next couple of weeks go quickly for you! I know what you both mean, feels like I live my life in 2 week increments, always waiting for them to pass!

@Amy259 I can't because of the shifts I work. Like last wk I think it was 7am - 5pm, 7am - 5pm, 3pm - 1am, 10pm - 7am and 10pm - 7am. Quite often I have unplanned overtime too. So that's all over the place sadly. 10 week shift pattern of different shifts so don't think I'd be able to. Or at least from what I've heard? How are you today Amy?

@Loops01 yeah I think you’re right, I think it’ll be too tough to temp accurately. That’s unfortunate! How are you OPKs doing? In that last screenshot it’s strange it registered a 1.5.

1. I'll be stopping testing soon as now back to 0.1s. I think the 0.6 was the peak. Its like it followed almost the same pattern as my normal cycle but it just wasnt high enough. Not sure why. Got my day 21 bloods today so I'm sure that'll be a fail haha.

I didn’t take a opk yesterday but today’s has gone up from 0.14 two days ago to 0.46 so guessing ovulation is coming soon if I haven’t missed it yesterday?? Quite depressing knowing I cannot try and it’s going to be another month till I get here again 😔.

@AZ1992X are you not allowed to try until you've had AF? Is that the reason or is there another? I mean opks go up with AF too so maybe hope it's that? Wishful thinking maybe. 😔

I got my Day21 bloods back today (I'm day 22) and confirmed I've not ovulated. My opks are still 0.1 so no real surge and no ovulation confirmed. Not sure when AF will be this month too now. Dr wasn't happy with the results and said that because technically we've been off contraception longer than really trying and no ovulation he's going to refer now instead of next month because there's a huge list apparently. He said to stop tracking and just have fun. Which I'm quite happy to do but I'd rather know I'm ovulating if that makes sense? They never teach you things like this in school!!! Life can be harder than you think at times.

Hi @Loops01 I don’t think so as I asked and they said to wait until AF returns before we try again, in fairness I was still bleeding last week so the break is probably doing my body good.

Ah do they, didn’t realise that as always used clearblue - you never know then there’s small chance AF is coming. I’ll keep an eye on my bbt and may do another opk tomorrow to try and see what’s happening.

Sorry to hear that ❤️ - but I am glad they’ve finally referred you, did they say how long the waiting list is currently so you have an idea of how long you’ll need to wait?

Agree - it’s still such a taboo topic and people don’t talk about it then all you see or hear is positive stories and not all the difficulties people have! X.

From what I've read they go up. I actually tested from cd1 this time round and I was getting 0.3s. It seems to dip down to 0 at the end of period but it can be higher nearing the start of period so hopefully that's it? Part of me would be like fuck it just try if you ovulate but then I don't know it actually you'd have a higher chance of another mc which you wouldn't want. You do as you feel right.

Dr said it could be up to 9 months! He is saying that we could get postivie before then and suggested to stop testing and just get back to life before trying. Literally did a shop and was like ooh houmous (can't have that) oooh pate (can't have that) oooh soft cheese (can't have that) it's just so difficult to go back now. I bought bread and chocolate. Thought that is radical enough next to my fruit, veg, yog and kefir! 😂. So sad. I think it this next cycle is an ovulating one then I'll stop after that! Counted today and I've got 18 opks left and about 30 pregnancy ones just because it comes in the packs. Never really needed any and don't know how I would get through 30 but I guess with a positive in the future I'll just test every day 😂
