Early BFPs

Hi, does anyone want to come and keep me company? Currently ttc#3 and I don’t know how many dpo I am as my cycles have been a bit unpredictable for the last year but I’d say between 8 and 12 dpo at a guess. I had a chemical in September and a miscarriage at about 6 weeks in early November. This month has been the first month we started trying again and I wasn’t going to test early but after feeling knackered and iffy all weekend I did an impulsive test last night before bed and got the faintest squinter ever. This morning I tested again and got a faint but definitely there positive that my phone camera managed to pick up 😬.

I don’t even want to tell DP yet as the last 2 BFPs didn’t stick. I don’t know what do do with myself today in between homeschooling and the kids have picked today to be really motivated and not needing much help from me.

Morning ladies.

It’s the crazy pregnant lady here. Had 1 more digi left in the house, which I swore I wouldn’t do, but couldn’t help myself. Absolutely over the moon to get this this morning! First time in any of my pregnancies I’ve seen 2-3. I’m 4 weeks today. Ecstatic!!!!

Hi, hope you don't mind me joining!
I've just got this result this morning! :) I can't quite believe it, and I'm not letting myself get excited incase something happens, I'm a natural worrier! When do you think is best to do another test?? Lovely to see all your BFPs! Xx

Good morning @CupcakeLady06, congratulations. Do you know roughly how many days ago you ovulated or when your period should be due?

OP posts:
CupcakeLady06 · 08/02/2021 09:24

@Secretsquirrelisfedup thank you! I ovulated around CD 17/18 and have a 28 day cycle. Period is due today so I thought I would test this morning when I woke up and it hadn't arrived

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 08/02/2021 09:32

@CupcakeLady06 if you are just using digitals I would test again 14 days from the last date you think you could have ovulated at the earliest. If you have any normal dye tests (ideally pink dye rather than blue) you could test every couple of days or so till you get a strong line.

I like the easy at home test strips that are £8(ish) from Amazon for 20 strips. They are really clear and sensitive.

CupcakeLady06 · 08/02/2021 09:35

@Secretsquirrelisfedup I have a few of the non digital ones so will try again in a few days, thank you

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 08/02/2021 09:41

@CupcakeLady06 you’re very welcome. Good luck and you’re in good company here 😊

Congrats @CupcakeLady06!

I got my 1-2 weeks on digital 9DPO and then 2-3 weeks 14DPO. Definitely agree to wait until 14 DPO at the earliest to test again on digital! I tested on FRERs on the days between because I am also a natural worrier and wanted to see the line darkening!

Welcome to the crazy club x

CupcakeLady06 · 08/02/2021 10:36

@daisyorange2 thank you :)
I'm new to all of this and it's all quite daunting, really hard not telling anyone that we are even trying.
I will be 14 DPO on Thursday so will try and hang off until then to any more tests :) x

11 months feeding is amazing! Well done!

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 08/02/2021 14:49

@LAgeDeRaisin 11 months breastfeeding is awesome if you want to stop. However, if you really want to carry on I think supply reduces due to hormones early on but can increase again later on if you persevere, (although it can get uncomfortable when your supply is running really low, I stopped feeding my oldest when I was pregnant with my second for that reason, it was just too much for me). Definitely don’t worry if you have to supplement with formula for the time being as it could well be a temporary thing. Sorry it took me ages to write that. X

@CupcakeLady06 congratulations!!!

Hope everyone is doing well.

I’ve booked an early scan for a few weeks time when I will be 6+4, the page popped up and I couldn’t stop myself. Not sure if that’s a bad idea now though, am I likely to see anything?!

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 08/02/2021 15:21

@Leonberger I’ve never had a scan before 9 weeks but I think at 6+4 you should see a sac and possibly a heartbeat.

OP posts:
daisyorange2 · 08/02/2021 15:36

@Leonberger I've heard you can possibly see a heartbeat between 6-7 weeks, but I booked for 8 as I worry if I go and its too early to see anything I will just worry more! X

Leonberger · 08/02/2021 15:39

Thanks both of you! Maybe I’m better off ringing and changing for the following week when I will be 7+4?
What do you all think?

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 08/02/2021 15:57

@Leonberger I think I would. It gives a bit of wiggle room in case you’re dates aren’t exactly as you thought too.

OP posts:
Secretsquirrelisfedup · 08/02/2021 16:29

I can’t spell today. I’m so tired 😩

OP posts:
Leonberger · 08/02/2021 16:49

I think I’ll do that nearer the time then @Secretsquirrelisfedup

They do offer a rescan 1week after the original if they can’t find it but it would be an awful week!

How far along are you now?

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 08/02/2021 17:08

Somewhere between 4 weeks and 4 weeks +4 I think. If I go by LMP it’s 4+6 but I haven’t had a 28 day cycle in about 6 years so that’s very doubtful.
