Early BFPs

Hi, does anyone want to come and keep me company? Currently ttc#3 and I don’t know how many dpo I am as my cycles have been a bit unpredictable for the last year but I’d say between 8 and 12 dpo at a guess. I had a chemical in September and a miscarriage at about 6 weeks in early November. This month has been the first month we started trying again and I wasn’t going to test early but after feeling knackered and iffy all weekend I did an impulsive test last night before bed and got the faintest squinter ever. This morning I tested again and got a faint but definitely there positive that my phone camera managed to pick up 😬.

I don’t even want to tell DP yet as the last 2 BFPs didn’t stick. I don’t know what do do with myself today in between homeschooling and the kids have picked today to be really motivated and not needing much help from me.

Also this could be coincidental or not but another thing that made me test was messing around on my fitness band app which I’ve not remembered to check for ages and my usual resting heart rate is 59/60 bpm and has been for as long as I can remember but it’s been consistently around 79/80 bpm for the last 2 days.

I’ll keep you company Smile

I’ve had faint positives this week following a miscarriage in December. My tests turned stark white negative again after a couple of weeks and then I had a positive ovulation test mid-jan.

I’m still not sure if this is definitely a new pregnancy or not as I haven’t yet had a full cycle and period, but I plan to test again in a few days to see if it gets darker.

This would be #2 for us.

Leonberger · 02/02/2021 13:14

I’ll join too Smile

I’ve just got a definite faint positive at 11-12dpo.

Had a chemical in the past so I’m going to be panicking for the next few weeks I think!

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 02/02/2021 14:08

Limbo is so much easier with company. Sorry you’ve both had similar experiences though. I used to think the tww was bad but after knowing that it might not stick I think this bit might actually be worse. I keep flipping between excited and pessimistic although currently I feel sick and horrible so that’s positive.

OP posts:
Leonberger · 02/02/2021 14:13

@Secretsquirrelisfedup at least with the tww you know if your period hasn’t come by X date you can test. This is indefinite Grin

DH does not want to talk about it yet which is a bit lonley, he said he does not want to get excited until we are out of the huge danger zone.

I’ve had a lot of nausea which I’m taking to be a good sign?

Are you planning to keep testing or is the once enough for you?

Hoplop · 02/02/2021 14:30

@Leonberger my DH is the same and won’t talk about or acknowledge it yet. Like you, I find that really lonely! He probably would if I asked but time doesn’t seem to move as slowly for him so he’s happy to just sit with the knowledge and wait a bit.

Leonberger · 02/02/2021 14:33

This is also our DC2 @Hoplop so I’m not sure if he’s just remembering the baby stuff from last time and thinking oh god Grin

I am really wishing the next few weeks over so I can start to relax. With DC1 I got a private early scan at 8 weeks which helped settle my nerves a bit as we saw the heartbeat, are any of you planning on one?

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 02/02/2021 14:33

@Leonberger exactly! I’m planning on leaving it a week or so (if I can manage it) before I test again. I do really want to see a bold line before I stop testing altogether. I think it will make me feel a lot calmer plus I will be able to happily show DP without him telling me it’s not a real line. I haven’t told DP yet because he doesn’t trust the tests until the line is blazing and it makes me feel worse than not talking about it at all. When I had the chemical the line didn’t get darker before it ended and it wasn’t real for him so he didn’t understand why I was upset. He is amazing once he lets himself believe it though.

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 02/02/2021 15:22

What are your guys’ plans for testing again?

OP posts:
Leonberger · 02/02/2021 15:38

I’ve got loads of internet cheapies so I might test tomorrow just to see if it’s getting darker and then try and wait until next week.
After that I might book an early test for when I would be around 8-9 weeks or so as we did last time. It seems such a long time to wait 12weeks!

Every time I go to the toilet I’m obsessively expecting AF, hoping it stays away!

Hoplop · 03/02/2021 07:03

I tested with an IC this morning and it was no darker (potentially even fainter). I know I need to be level headed and step away from the tests for a few more days to see any results but it’s just too tempting!

Leonberger · 03/02/2021 07:10

@Hoplop I've done exactly the same Blush
My line is no darker, could even be lighter too.

I’m feeling really stressed today. My symptoms are less. I don’t feel sick, my boobs aren’t as sore. Feel like I’m just waiting for the inevitable. Usually my period would be here by Sunday so I am hoping to just make it to the missed period stage then retest!

Hoplop · 03/02/2021 07:28

@Leonberger time is just moving so slowly, isn’t it?!

I had my positive LH test around two weeks ago so had hoped it would be a bit darker by now. Having said that, I am still only 5 weeks post-miscarriage management so I’ve no idea what’s going on.

I did have a whole week of very clear hpt negatives before my LH ‘surge’ so I’m still fairly confident that this would be a new pregnancy.

Leonberger · 03/02/2021 07:38

@Hoplop I’m really hoping this is it for you! After my chemical I just wanted to be pregnant straight away again and I’m just hoping I don’t have to go through that again!

I’m trying to break it down a little, make it until Sunday which means I’ve missed a period. Then after that who knows but I think I’ll get an early scan at 8 weeks to hopefully put my mind at rest a little until 12 weeks and then go from there!
Last time it did get a lot easier once I had the 12 week scan and then could feel movement!

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 03/02/2021 11:11

Try not to worry too much and step away from the tests for now. The hormones don’t rise enough in one day to offset all the other things that can affect the concentration. Not that I can talk. I nearly took another this morning too but I was being rushed to hurry up in the bathroom and I’ve been obsessing over symptoms all morning. I’ve got my finger and toes crossed that it works out for all of usxx

Wow this is weird I am in the same boat as you all! I'd love to join you ladies in limbo if you'll have me.

Chemical - Jan
First peak OPK - Mid Jan
Faint positive on FRER - 2nd Feb

And so it begins again! I have ordered more FRER so thinking will wait until Friday as it should be darker after a 3 day wait.

When are you ladies planning to test again? I haven't told DP either as don't want to get his hopes up yet.

Thank you for listening feels so good to have someone to talk to

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 03/02/2021 13:12

Hiya @daisyorange2 welcome aboard. I’m planning on holding out till weekend, I was going to try and wait a whole week and test again on Monday but I’m driving myself insane already so I doubt I could last till then, I’ll probably cave and test tomorrow or Friday to be honest.

OP posts:
daisyorange2 · 03/02/2021 13:18

@Secretsquirrelisfedup a whole week would be some amazing willpower! I am like you also had a miscarriage last year at 6 weeks.

Both times my husband wouldn't let himself believe it until we got the digital 'pregnant 1-2' on the CB. But unfortunately, those didn't work out so I'm not sure he would believe it at all until we had a scan!

I am the same, won't bother showing him until I have a dark line or a digital. It's our wedding anniversary this weekend, so that would be pretty amazing!

Everything crossed for us all.

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 03/02/2021 15:44

@daisyorange2 no way, me and DP have been together 13 years on Monday. I think DP will believe it once he’s seen either a blazing line or a digital. I don’t want to take a digital till it has a good chance of showing 2-3 or 3+ though as they never moved past 1-2 last time and that was the first sign things weren’t going right.

OP posts:
daisyorange2 · 03/02/2021 15:48

@Secretsquirrelisfedup how funny - Monday is a 1 year wedding anniversary (but 9 years together)!!!

I caved, just got 1-2 on a digital. Can't quite believe it, I'm 10 DPO max.

I don't think I can wait til the weekend now I have this!! What shall I do?

I was the same as you, but I was showing 1-2 weeks on a digi even when I was 5+5. This is very very very early for a digital right? Not even early detection!

I hope and pray that means its a strong sticky one.

Was just woundering if any one can see anything on this? I feel like I can see a little bit of colour change on the edges where the line should be

Early BFPs
Lisyloo725 · 03/02/2021 17:12

Oh I’d love to join you ladies!! Congrats on your squinty-for-now positives!!
We are trying for our third, and after a MC in August and an ectopic in October I’m hoping this ones a sticky bean in the right place!! 🤞🏼
In terms of testing I did a first response early test yesterday that had a super faint line. I want to take the second one from the box on Friday morning - as I will need to call the EPU to organise an early scan ‘cos of the ectopic. That’ll give me a scan at 6 weeks ish. I highly recommend having an early scan for putting your mind at ease for whatever reason if you are able to find a place that does it privately. Mine with DC2 was £70 and that’s London prices to give you an idea.

Sending much love to all x x x

Lisyloo725 · 03/02/2021 17:15

Forgot to add AF is only due on Saturday so I’m still not even there! Ugh!
Worriedly Googling ‘chemicals’! 😩

daisyorange2 · 03/02/2021 17:22

I know the feeling @Lisyloo725

I got 1-2 weeks on a digital at 9/10DPO today. It’s horrible that even with that I can’t get excited about it after 2 previous losses.

But there really is nothing we can do but wait wait wait!

X

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 03/02/2021 18:05

@daisyorange2 that’s brilliant. Hopefully that’s a sign that it’s going to stick.

@unknownttc I can’t see anything sorry but I hardly ever see anything on negatives. Have you got a normal photo?

@Lisyloo725 I’m not due on yet either I don’t think. Thanks to my wonky cycles recently it’s hard to tell. At least we are all in good company now.

Hope you are all staying relatively sane. Loads of good luck to everyone.
