Early BFPs

Hi, does anyone want to come and keep me company? Currently ttc#3 and I don’t know how many dpo I am as my cycles have been a bit unpredictable for the last year but I’d say between 8 and 12 dpo at a guess. I had a chemical in September and a miscarriage at about 6 weeks in early November. This month has been the first month we started trying again and I wasn’t going to test early but after feeling knackered and iffy all weekend I did an impulsive test last night before bed and got the faintest squinter ever. This morning I tested again and got a faint but definitely there positive that my phone camera managed to pick up 😬.

I don’t even want to tell DP yet as the last 2 BFPs didn’t stick. I don’t know what do do with myself today in between homeschooling and the kids have picked today to be really motivated and not needing much help from me.

Thank you @Secretsquirrelisfedup! Just can’t wait to see that strong heartbeat again and feel the relief. I’ve also booked a private gender scan so it won’t be long until another scan! I basically have one every 4 weeks 🤣 but I think whatever calms my anxiety I have to do!! I go between excitement and nerves everyday!! Xxx

I’m thinking of booking a private gender scan so that DP can come. Technically he is allowed to come to the 12 week one but it’s at the hospital in a town about half an hours drive away rather than the one in my town and we have no car at the moment so my mum who is our usual childcare is giving me a lift and DP is staying with the kids.

I’m also considering a private gender one...just because my next won’t won’t be until I’m almost 22 weeks and that seems so long until we can find out if it’s okay again!!

Ahhh it’s sooo lovely to catch up on these messages!!!!! @Leonberger we are exactly the same dates wise - I’m 12 weeks tomorrow - and @Secretsquirrelisfedup and @daisyorange2 I think you’re only one/two days different!!! I too have a week to wait for my scan 😬
Can’t complain tho - I’ve had three! 😅
My bump is totally there and I’m starting to roll out the mater it’s clothes which make it look even bigger!! I’ve got two weeks off work now - when I go back I’ll be able to/have to share - I’ll be massive!!

Morning everyone. We have started thinking about names in the last couple of days and it’s looking like we are actually close to agreeing on one of each already which is nothing short of a miracle. I’ve also made a lovely big wish list of all the things we need to get, which is most stuff since my brother had all the stuff I had saved for his baby and has managed to give away or break most of it. I tried to avoid letting myself get carried away till after the 12 week scan and failed but at least I lasted till I got to 12 weeks.

Ah that’s lovely @Secretsquirrelisfedup we have friends who have just had one of each so we will luckily get quite a few hand me downs which is ideal! We have names too, it’s hard not to think far ahead isn’t it! Was up for a lot of the night worrying last night. Roll on Tuesday!!!!!!

@Leonberger I was so organised keeping my decent stuff but my bloody brother and his girlfriend had a surprise baby, played the poor us what are we going to do act, took the lot and then didn’t look after it or remember that it wasn’t theirs to give away. I’m seeing it as an opportunity to get better things though.

I’m only letting myself buy small stuff until maybe 25ish weeks I think. I’m choosing and putting money aside for the big stuff though.... unless I come across any ridiculously good bargains on the big stuff then the rules are out the window 😂.

I have a bugaboo bee in need of repair (new seat hardware) - and I need to purchase the carrycot part as we only bought it when my youngest was 1ish so don’t have.
£250 going right there!
We also gave away our jumparoo (so massive to store!!) rest we probably have but might want ‘new’ for some things 😍

I tested at 9dpo and had faintest line but couldn't get it on camera. Today I tested at 11dpo and could actually capture it but I've read so much about these tests I'm unsure. What do you think?

I fished it out thr bin too and it's still faint on it. No idea. I don't want to get my hopes up. Period due in 3 days

@IndigoJam those tests are a bit rubbish in my experience but rubbish or not that definitely looks positive to me. I would test again maybe the day your period is due and the line should be a lot clearer by then. If you don’t want to wait that long though there are some strips on Amazon called easy@home that are about £8/£9 for 20 and I find them as good as FRERs, they should give you a much clearer positive.

@daisyorange2 and @Lisyloo725 I’m a bit miffed that you both have your scans tomorrow and I’ve got to wait till Wednesday 😂. Every day feels like about 10 years at the moment and I keep catastrophising and convincing myself of the worst the last couple of days. It’s highly possible that my hormones are making a mess of me. I have brief moments of sanity where I relax and feel silly for worrying then swing right back the opposite way again. I’m doing my own head in.

@Secretsquirrelisfedup thank you you replying. Not getting my hopes up. I told myself I wasnt going to spent money on more frers but these ones are so confusing I've caved and some are being delivered tomorrow. I have a cb digital that says pregnant or not but thinking it's a waste to use it cause probably too early for that to pick up anything if I was pregnant.

@Secretsquirrelisfedup yes, Wednesday. Also wish it were tomorrow! The last week to two weeks has just completely dragged!

Hello ladies! Scan went great. Measuring ahead at 12+5. So relieved. Baby was so wriggly it spun 360 twice while we were there! Could barely get a pic. Time to relax and celebrate now 🥰

They printed loaaaads of piccies for me - so getting ready to do a pictorial baby due reveal for family. I hated the whole telling them convo (the two previous times) so thinking something with my two kids holding the strip of scan pics will just be nice! 🥰

I’m 12+4 so due on the 15th Oct - although from experience I’m not sharing the due date with friends/family as the pressure really gets to me as the date approaches.

@Lisyloo725 I’m the same, I just feel so awkward. I’m actually glad we are still in semi lockdown and I have no car at the moment so the plan is to get some nice pictures of the kids holding the scan picture and send them via text/whatsapp with a guess what type message to people who are too close to find out on facebook then get in quickly and stick it on Facebook before MIL or my overenthusiastic friend get there first 😖.

Hahaha @Secretsquirrelisfedup telling your parents you’re pregnant is what it seems like I spent a long time thinking I should do!!! So even when I was 31, married, I struggled to tell them face to face!!! Third time round I still feel odd about it! And this time I know there’ll be some raised eyebrows cos I’m 40! 😒
