Hi, does anyone want to come and keep me company? Currently ttc#3 and I don’t know how many dpo I am as my cycles have been a bit unpredictable for the last year but I’d say between 8 and 12 dpo at a guess. I had a chemical in September and a miscarriage at about 6 weeks in early November. This month has been the first month we started trying again and I wasn’t going to test early but after feeling knackered and iffy all weekend I did an impulsive test last night before bed and got the faintest squinter ever. This morning I tested again and got a faint but definitely there positive that my phone camera managed to pick up 😬.

I don’t even want to tell DP yet as the last 2 BFPs didn’t stick. I don’t know what do do with myself today in between homeschooling and the kids have picked today to be really motivated and not needing much help from me.

@Lisyloo725 are you doing the Harmony package? I think it's great, my friends loved it. At 10 weeks their scans looked very much the same as 12 weeks, just smaller but all formed, and they got to see so much wriggling too - so exciting!!!!

Don't know how you ladies do it with 2 other children to look after - I feel so tired some nights I can't even be bothered to load the dishwasher!

x

Lisyloo725 · 11/03/2021 11:34

I’m going with the Panorama test as it’s slightly more accurate and tests for a few more things. With my provider is was only £50 more. £350 total. I’m using a local independent midwife. That price doesn’t include a scan as I’ve already had one so that makes it cheaper!! My local private hosp charges £700 for the full monty! 🥶

Ahh I’m hoping that I can see a mini baby on Tuesday. I’ll be 9+5 so hopefully that’s close enough!!

Coping with two plus a bump - hahaha - it is ‘fun’. I tend to feel sickest in the evenings and on weekends. I guess it’s when you flop usually.
I’m gonna try and eat what I have planned for dinner at lunchtime today to hope I can eat more in total - I’ve been so off my food in the evenings. My boss said I looked like I’ve lost weight when she did my preg risk assessment. Significant bump tho! 🤭 WFH today - and working hard as you can probably tell by my typing this!! 🤪

Have a fun day all x x

Hoplop · 11/03/2021 13:47

@daisyorange2 I only have one but my evenings are very much leaving the dishes to DH and crashing with DC at his bedtime!

Working more from the office now and a colleague was staring quite obviously at my abdomen yesterday Blush I was a toned size 6-8 the last time they saw me (before pregnancy, miscarriage and another pregnancy so my body has taken a bit of a hit!)

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 13/03/2021 11:23

How are you all doing today? Sorry I’ve been quiet, been feeling very blah. My iron is low which explains the constant fatigue but taking iron to fix it is making me feel even worse so I’m feeling a bit sorry for myself.

OP posts:
Leonberger · 13/03/2021 19:01

Hope your iron levels improve soon @Secretsquirrelisfedup.

I’m also feeling rough, vomited everything I’ve eaten today and just can not be bothered to do anything!

Lisyloo725 · 13/03/2021 19:58

Oh poor @Leonberger and @Secretsquirrelisfedup
Je-wiz - I’m. Or coping well and have neither of these complaints!! I’m ‘just’ exhausted and feel green!! I was craving black pudding last week so had it twice! Maybe a good thing for you to eat @Secretsquirrelisfedup if you aren’t veggie? It must have had something to do with need. A really weird craving!!
Now it’s grapefruit juice!!! I neeeeeeed them! 🤪😋
Hope you both have a better day tomorrow - and if you have enough layers maybe try sitting out in fresh air! 🤷‍♀️ x x

Happy Mother’s Day to all you lovely ladies 💖 hope you are spoilt today x

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 14/03/2021 09:09

Good morning @daisyorange2. By some miracle I actually feel a bit more human today. Happy Mother’s Day everyone. Hope you’re feeling a bit better today @Leonberger. @Lisyloo725 I think black pudding is an excellent idea, I haven’t had any for ages. I’ll get DP on it, perfect Mother’s Day treat 😁.

Happy Mother’s Day everyone!!!

I’m still vomiting hourly and have been all night Confused
Punishment for saying I wasn’t ill enough maybe Blush

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 14/03/2021 10:06

Oh @Leonberger that’s rubbish. Have you tried any medication for it?

OP posts:
Leonberger · 14/03/2021 10:22

@Secretsquirrelisfedup not yet! I thought I had got away with it this time as last time it kicked off at 6 weeks.
I’ll have to speak to the doctors on Monday if it’s no better because I can’t keep a thing down at all Sad

Lisyloo725 · 14/03/2021 11:17

@Leonberger I really feel for you! And can’t believe during the night too you poor thing!!!!! Defo tell the doc tomorrow there must be something they can give.
I know it prob is not what you need, but have you tried those wrist bands? For nausea. I was just thinking perhaps you could pick some up today from the chemist and that might reduce it a little - I’m not saying fully- but maybe a little 😬

I felt particularly bad last weekend and miso soup really felt good. Again random. But thought I’d mention it.
Feel better x x a d happy Mother’s Day all 🌸

Lisyloo725 · 15/03/2021 20:51

I hope you got some help from the doc today @Leonberger x x

Leonberger · 15/03/2021 21:04

Hi @Lisyloo725, I feel a little better today! It’s so unpredictable. Some days are terrible and some are manageable. At least today I’ve eaten a little bit.
I’ve spoken to the doctors who have offered me meds but I would rather try and avoid them if I can. If it does get terrible for days on end that’s the plan though Smile

The only real worry is work. I’ve already had about 2 weeks off and I don’t think it’s going to ease up any time soon Sad My workplace is already struggling with low staff and I don’t get sick pay either!

How are you all feeling?

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 16/03/2021 16:59

It’s been such a weird few days. I lost my phone somewhere in the house at weekend and just assumed it had fallen down the sofa or the side of the bed but after turning the house upside down, rearranging all the furniture and having a thorough clear out I still can’t find it. Added to that my sickness has left me alone today but I think pgp has started to kick in already 😱

OP posts:
Lisyloo725 · 20/03/2021 19:24

Hoya ladies
Congrats on approaching 10 weeks lots of you!! 🥂 miraculously my sickness has abated these last few days but the tiredness has knocked me for six!! I’ve basically laid down the whole of today!!!! ...and how are your bumps coming along?? 👀

Hoplop · 20/03/2021 19:36

Evening!
I had a follow up scan to monitor the haematoma and spotting yesterday and was dated 10+3! Feels a bit more real now.
Major bloating fooling me into thinking there’s a bump there 😂

Leonberger · 20/03/2021 19:48

Hi everyone!
I feel a little bit less sick today too. Hopefully it continues without it being a bad sign!
I’ve slept all week though, not coping with 14 hour shifts Blush

I bet it feels much better seeing the scan hoplop! Not long now until our 12 week ones with a bit of luck!

Hoplop · 21/03/2021 07:45

@Leonberger @Lisyloo725 it’s good to hear you both have a bit of sickness relief!

Yes, it was a bit more reassuring to see the scan on fri - I felt reassured enough to tell a few close friends yesterday which was really lovely.

Lisyloo725 · 21/03/2021 14:33

Ahhh brilliant @Hoplop !! I’m gonna be telling my kids this week as we’ll find out the gender from the Panorama test - and will be 11 weeks on Thursday! Wondering whether not to tell our parents - they are far away and this the chance of seeing them is low. I’d rather tell them in person! Even if I’m 20 weeks or whatever! Think that could be fun!!?
@Leonberger - my sickness waned at ten weeks in my last preg. It’s been the pregnancies where I’ve had no sickness at all that have been the problem. I hope you feel you can relax a little more soon x

daisyorange2 · 23/03/2021 20:13

How is everyone doing? We’ve all been pretty quiet on here waiting for our scans! My 12 week is on the 6th, not long to go.

I’m feeling mega mega tired but otherwise great.

Hope you are good @Secretsquirrelisfedup and all is well with everyone!

X

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 24/03/2021 08:23

Hi @daisyorange2. Sorry for going quiet, I’m a bit of a mess. My nausea and sickness had started to ease off last week but it’s back with a vengeance the last couple of days. I’m anaemic and struggling to get my iron levels up which is messing with my ulcerative colitis and I’m pretty sure that’s making my iron levels worse.... however I did have a bit of a breakthrough in the middle of the night last night when I couldn’t sleep. I’ve been taking pregnacare max since the beginning but I ran out a week or so ago and just took plain folic acid and vitamin D for a week till I got some more of the pregnacare and that seems to coincide with me feeling slightly better and then worse again so I think maybe I need to find a vitamin/iron supplement that suits me better and is gentler on my digestive system. I’ll report back if it works 😬.

How are you guys all doing?

OP posts:
daisyorange2 · 24/03/2021 09:22

No need to apologise @Secretsquirrelisfedup, sorry you’ve been feeling so rough. Low iron must be so tough but sounds like you may have figured it out. I take Zita West Vitafem trimester 1 supplements and so far, so good - not sure if they would be any better for you.

Not long now ladies til we are done with the first trimester - can you believe it!?

Leonberger · 24/03/2021 09:28

Morning everyone. I feel much better this week than last, still a tiny bit nauseous but not really much vomiting which I’m pleased about! Can’t wait until I can feel more normal and start to exercise again.

Glad to hear everyone is okay other than the sickness!

Only a week until my scan. I can’t believe we are this close!
