@M4v3r1ck Thank you. I did but they just said they won't do anything to help as I already had 1 kid so apparently that means I'm not worthy spending time investigating what could potentially be wrong 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'll see how things go as I've been having cramps since ovulation (currently 7DPO) and they were pretty horrendous today with back pain and it's too early for AF (although who knows...) but my husband even asked me if this could be endometriosis based on the symptoms he was checking 😬 so a bit at a loss now what else to do if it doesn't work again this month.

Hi all, just wanted to say a sort-of catch-up hello, as I've dipped in now and then to see how everyone is doing.

You probably remember I discovered in August last year that I had a low ovarian reserve, when TTC #2. Then to my surprise, I got pregnant in October, with twins.

Now just over 17 weeks and still anxious! If all goes well, I'll have a c-section in June (before I turn 40 a few months later). So fingers crossed.

Wishing all of you the very best in the months ahead. If anyone wants to ask questions about low ovarian reserve, please do! I did a TON of research last year...!

Wow @CC81 hello again!

Tell us all:
What did you do?
Supplements?
Cut anything out?
Working out any best times for DTD?
Standing on your head lol? 🤣

So glad all is going well with you, with not just one bit TWO little ones in there! ❤️

Kitekat81 · 27/01/2021 12:12

@CC81 wow that's fantastic, congratulations!! How long were you trying before you conceived?

I think I have low ovarian reserve as well. What was yours? All I know is that my FSH result was 10.7, and my antral follicle count was 6. I'm getting my AMH tested next month. The fertility doctor who did my follicle count was pretty pessimistic about my chances and likely poor quality of my remaining eggs, so it's great to hear your story! 😊

What a great story @CC81, congratulations!

I’m getting AMH and scan done tomorrow, so fingers firmly crossed for that.

@CC81 how lovely of you to pop in. Glad you're pregnancy is progressing well. 😊

Pamparam · 27/01/2021 12:43

Wow @CC81, is the low reserve a result of your ovaries wantonly flinging out 2 eggs at a time, or is the latter just a symptom of the former? Conceiving twins when I've already got one is a worry of mine, I would be very anxious (physcially and finanically, lol) too. Good luck with it all x

@thislittlebird good luck for your scan tomorrow! Let us know how you get on 🤞

Thanks! @Kitekat81

I’m looking forward to knowing more about what’s what by Monday. I also got a peak on my CB fertility monitor today (first month I’ve tried it) which was exciting because OPKs didn’t work for me when I tried them in the past.

@CC81 lovely to hear from you and that all is progressing well! How very exciting!! ❤️❤️ Thank you for spreading some hope and positivity on here! 🙏

Thanks everyone! ❤️

@selina37 - I took a conception multivitamin (Proceive), plus ubiquinol and vitamin B6. Reduced caffeine but didn't stop. Drank PLENTY of alcohol (including the week I got my BFP - oops!). 😂

Also did acupuncture, massage, reflexology and herbal tea with a Chinese practitioner. No idea if it helped fertility, but it felt good.

I'd decided to stop monitoring (OPKs, temp, etc) only the month before.

@Kitekat81 - We conceived in month 7/8 of proper attempts (we started in Jan, but missed a few). My FSH was 15-17, AMH 0.9 and AFC 5/6. Guess it goes to show that quality really does beat quantity! A fertility doctor told me that too 😊

@thislittlebird - Good luck - and please do take any results with a pinch of salt. As I've said above, they're not necessarily conclusive. 🤞

@Pamparam - Not sure! But I was ovulating regularly (monthly) and everything seemed pretty normal (healthy womb, ovaries etc). To be honest, if all three of us come out of this healthy, that's my top priority - though I admit I was freaked out at first! Luckily my twins are the low-risk type - separate sacs and placentas 🤞

Thanks @Happyhappy37 and @Loladoodle xxx

Wishing everyone the very best. xxx

I had bought coq10 but realised it needs to be actual ubiquinol. So I've just ordered the one mentioned on here, from Amazon, the Health Thru Nutrition one in the green tub.

Thank you @CC81 Hope you enjoy a peaceful pregnancy 😘 xx

Hey ladies, how is it Thursday already! 😃

@CC81 amazing update and info! So glad things are going well! 😍😍😍

@selina37 attempting to put my nerd hat on here, but my understanding is that both ubiquinol and ubiquinone work and the body switches between the two! Indeed most of the pubmed articles seem to use ubiquinone as that was available first! App ubiquinol is better absorbed though, so more is available in the blood/body; therefore, you want to make sure you have a good-absorbing ubiquinone if you select that vs ubiquinol! 🤓

@Happyhappy37 glad you're feeling better! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you this month! Still waiting for AF to arrive for me!

@Blossom37 that's really frustrating re: investigations! 😔 Would you consider private? I know a few ladies on here have gone the private route!

@thislittlebird good luck today! Let us know how you get on! 😘

Boo to those of you with AF and crappy symptoms!!! Give yourself extra TLC! 😘

Hi all how are we doing? @CC81 so great to hear your story - I've secretly always wanted twins! Lovely to hear that you're all doing well.

I've bought myself some opk to start this month as well as taking bbt again and just wondering if anyone has any ideas on when I should actually start using them? My cycle is all over the place now so no clue what's going on in there 😕

Af enroute will be full flow by tomorrow! On to cycle 12. Feeling ok as focussing on weight loss and diy keeping me busy too. Have lots going on to keep me occupied at the moment, it is welcome distraction from ttc! Hoping to see some more bfps on here soon!

@Loladoodle I'm trying to go on a healthy eating kick to make me loose a bit of weight, certainly can't hurt our chances!

Also has anyone tried a ferti-lily cup? I've got one, and used it a couple of times, as I've heard really good reviews especially for those with male infertility issues such as slow swimmers or low motility

Ok I’m back from the transvaginal ultrasound and AMH test. Obviously don’t know the full results yet (that’s for the Monday consultation) but I have to say it was a pretty good experience overall. Lovely nurse, slightly uncomfortable but a good first experience of that type of scan. Initial results look promising. She showed me the screen and showed me the print outs, I have 11 follicles on the right 17 follicles on the left. Have a very small fibroid but it’s small and out of the way so they aren’t concerned by that, said my womb and lining looks ok but obviously I’ll take all of it with a pinch of salt until I’ve spoken to the doctor. I think it was @GuessHowMuch who had initial good results then some surprises from the consultant.

Overall though I’m relieved because peri menopause is a big fear of mine (my mother claims hers was early) but they don’t seem worried about that and said the AMH should be in line with the follicle count.

I had not hrard of ubiqinol prior to this thread. Dont know whether to invest , im 37 and had 2 miscarriages , does it enhance egg quality?
How are you doing ? Did you get post mc period and what day you on?? X

@M4v3r1ck well I've just ordered ubiquinol! Going to use up some coq10 at the same time I think. 🤔 Hoping it's a good one I've bought, was reasonably priced.

@Loladoodle it's here for me already! Started this morning 🙄 slightly earlier than expected. Hence the early morning ubiquinol order!

@Marvellouslymadmum I've got a ferti-lily. Obviously hasn't worked yet 🤣 but it's ok to use, bit fiddly to put in though. I felt a bit like if it didn't go in right first time I was 'stirring things up' if you excuse the image there 🙈

@Marvellouslymadmum hope you're doing ok, lovely! I'm all over the place right now with both BBT and OPKs, so you're not alone! Hopefully once my first AF arrives everything will calm down! 🤞🏻

@Loladoodle booo to AF, but go you, girl! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 here's to lots of BFPs! 😃

@thislittlebird so glad that you had a good experience! Hopefully more of the same on Monday too! 😃

@MgW1 I've only just heard of it recently, so just started taking it! There was a flurry a few msgs back, and when I looked online it looked promising - suggests it helps with egg quality and also sperm motility! Gotta be worth a try! 😃 Still waiting on AF! How's your cycles been - all back to normal?

@selina37 which brand did you opt for? There were so many choices online! 🤯 Does anyone know If a particular brand/dose/formula is recommended? 🤔 I've not read the book that the CoQ10 advice came from!

@selina37 made me laugh with the stiring it up comment 😂 I've used it a few times obvs no luck yet but I've no idea if I've used it at the right time it was more for practice really, I'm not sure if I get it in the right place really but it seems to be so can't hurt lol

@M4v3r1ck trying to track it when you don't have a clue is not easy!

@thislittlebird glad you had a good experience with your tests!

@CC81 wow so your AFC was the same as mine! That's amazing. I veer between hope and despair at the moment, so I need good news stories like this! I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly. I'm sure it helps that you've had a baby before, your body knows what to do! ☺️

@thislittlebird that's great that your scan went well! Can I have some of your follicles please, sounds like you have some to spare 😂 Not long now until Monday and hopefully you'll be fully reassured!
