@thislittlebird ahh will see what they say any help from them is positive as far as I'm concerned!

@MgW1 oh that's good to hear! Just realised my tests are just two weeks away now too woohoo!

MgW1 · 23/02/2021 14:39

@Marvellouslymadmum
Well thats not long to wait.
Hopefully we will be able to try again 2 periods after this. I wonder how long smear test results take 🤔

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/02/2021 14:48

@MgW1 no I was thinking it was ages so that's good!

I think they come through within a couple of weeks

MgW1 · 23/02/2021 14:49

@Marvellouslymadmum
Is that blood tests at G.P'?

thislittlebird · 23/02/2021 14:54

I still can’t believe the quantity @MgW1!

And yeah, smears are usually a couple of weeks from what I recall.

selina37 · 23/02/2021 14:57

Seems lots of us are trying B6!

Let's keep ourselves up to date with how we're finding it!

I'm thinking of also upping the ubiquinol to 200mg twice a day. 🤔

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/02/2021 15:36

@MgW1 yes progesterone oestrogen LH and fsh

I'm also going to try the b6 but waiting until after the blood tests as I don't want it to affect any natural results, probably ubiquinol and epo too

MgW1 · 23/02/2021 16:03

@Marvellouslymadmum
EPO is good but delayed my ovulation by about 4days , opks are essential.

thislittlebird · 23/02/2021 16:57

It’s hard to know what to do because with EPO the advice is apparently to take it days 1-14 (or equivalent) because it can cause uterine contractions? I don’t know how true or false this is, I just did it from 1-14 anyway just in case the mythical BFP ever materialises.

So far my ovulation is a little early for me at cd14, and last month (also on EPO) it was normal-ish for me at cd17. I’m only taking it for CM so I stop at ovulation. But like you say, it delayed your ovulation, so I don’t know what to make of these things.

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/02/2021 18:36

@MgW1 at the moment I'm getting early ovulation so that wouldn't be a bad thing, I'm using opk and bbt anyway so that would help.

@thislittlebird I think I'll just wait the few weeks until I get the results from these tests then decide what to do

Loladoodle · 23/02/2021 18:39

Just had a 22 day cycle- hope this isn’t a sign of my fertility decline 🥺

thislittlebird · 23/02/2021 18:54

I keep worrying mine will be short this month because of my early ovulation @Loladoodle, hate these changes.

MgW1 · 23/02/2021 19:07

@Loladoodle
I hope not , vit c lengthened mine x

Misty84 · 23/02/2021 19:07

@climbershell Due to being over 35 and trying for a while my doctor immediately referred me to the fertility clinic at the hospital. I had some blood tests done in the meantime then had my consultation at the clinic, told her what I’d already had done and she gave me this list (photo attached) of what I needed to continue having tests for. So I’ve been working my way through that! @

By how much out of interest? @MgW1

I’m stuck between worrying about lp being too long and too short and period too light Hmm

thislittlebird · 23/02/2021 19:11

That’s a handy list @Misty84

MgW1 · 23/02/2021 19:40

@thislittlebird
So after I had my son , its helped me to get from 26 days to 30. Been consistantly 30 days, anyway started taking it again and its not effected my cycle this time , still 30 - 31 days. Definately helps if you have short cycle and for me , its good for recurrent miscarriage risk, not helped me this time but knly been on it 4 weeks ish.

climbershell · 23/02/2021 20:19

@Misty84 You've gone through most of the tests then, have they found anything that requires medication or blocked tubes etc?

I'm 35 (tho only just,was 34 when rang doc) and told doc been trying a year and she booked me in for blood test approx 7 days before start of period and partner semen analysis

If his comes back ok i guess I need to push for more testing. I figured tell them a year because of waiting lists etc

Currently 3 dpo

Even been on the pineapple on empty stomach and blueberry smoothies etc (same affect as pomegranate) . Really fancy a can of Pepsi Max, which I only have about 1 a week, trying to hold off!

Loladoodle · 23/02/2021 20:26

Interesting re the vitc - I ran out a while ago and didn’t replace it- maybe that’s the issue with my short cycle 🙁 will restart it tomo

Misty84 · 23/02/2021 20:41

@climbershell I haven’t had the HyCoSy yet, that’s the one that looks at blocked tubes. That is next but I need to have my consultation on 25th March before I can book that🙄
My AMH (indication of ovarian reserve) is very low so that’s what I’m specifically going to talk to the consultant about. It might mean I need to try IVF sooner rather than later.

Yeah I had the same tests as you through the GP, when they let you know the results you can push for referral to a fertility clinic at the hospital.

I haven’t had pineapple but I’ve started on pomegranate juice this month and wearing warm socks. I’m 4dpo so similar to you!

MgW1 · 23/02/2021 20:50

@thislittlebird
Ordered these , less b6 but good all rounder I think plus has folic acid so il take with vit c and give it a few months

thislittlebird · 23/02/2021 21:00

That’s really interesting @MgW1. Tempted to get that once my seven seas has run out hmmmm. It has FA and also inositol which I’m pretty sure is good for PCOS and diabetes and I’ve considered getting it before but not sure if I am borderline PCO(S) or not so just keep umming and ahhing about it.

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/02/2021 21:06

@Loladoodle you can just have a short cycle here and there but like the others said there are things you can do to lengthen them

@Misty84 I was reading the other day about Amh and there are lots of people who have a low one then had it done again and was fine or gif oregnany so I wouldn't worry about it too much

thislittlebird · 23/02/2021 21:14

Have you had your transvaginal ultrasound @Misty84? It looks ticked on your list.

Misty84 · 23/02/2021 21:32

Thank you @Marvellouslymadmum, I hope so 🙏

@thislittlebird Yes I had that done, they said my ovaries look healthy. 4 follicles on one and 6 on the other. There are early stages of adenomyotic changes of the uterus and a small fibroid in the uterine lining but they didn’t think it was big enough to be a worry...

The private doctor who did my scan was completely unfazed, said there’s no need to worry and it just takes time! 👀 She was so relaxed that it made me question all my anxiety!!
