@selina37
How are you getting on with vit b6? How long have you been taking it ? @thislittlebird which ones have you ordered ? Il place an order with H&B if my pharmacy dont stock them x

Misty84 · 23/02/2021 09:20

@climbershell I’m having to wait 2 months to discuss with doctor my scan results! Can’t do anything further until had that conversation. Painfully slow...

climbershell · 23/02/2021 09:32

@Misty84 wow 2 months, that's ridiculous. Did they say why?

climbershell · 23/02/2021 09:32

@Misty84 also how long did you have to wait to be referred for a scan and how long was the wait until the scan?

Loladoodle · 23/02/2021 09:56

@MgW1 so sorry this is happening for you again. I hope you get the support you need from your Gp and the gynae. If it’s progesterone related they may want to prescribe progesterone but as you say that might not be suitable for you. I hope you get your sticky bean 🤗

@selina37 I’ve taken 50mg b6 as far back as I can remember as I use it for pms. Def helps mood and early spotting also. It’s never had any negative side effects on me, I’m perfectly fine albeit slightly 🤪 whilst ttc!

MgW1 · 23/02/2021 10:03

@Loladoodle
Thank you, might take a few months off now so I can finally have a smear test!!! Got to wait another 12 weeks now though even after a chemical 🙄 least restrictions are going to be gradually lifting.... so might feel better myself by then. I really want to get back into swimming xx

thislittlebird · 23/02/2021 10:12

I’ve ordered the healthspan ones @MgW1, they’re on their own site or Amazon.

I don’t get spotting, but my periods have been very light for the last 6 months. Then this month they seemed more normal for two days before stopping Confused. It would really put my mind at ease if they went back to normal.

I know b6 is supposed to help with mood, that would be a nice benefit.

Get your results in writing before the appointment doctors before if you can @climbershell. Might be useful in case you have any questions around them if the appointment is not for a while.

I’m waiting for my referral letter from the hospital, would be nice if it came soon.

Loladoodle · 23/02/2021 10:19

@MgW1 a few months off with less restrictions to get back to feeling yourself and hopefully much less stress sounds like a good idea. I’ve been disappointed with no bfp for 12 cycles now but finding it easier the last few months as I’ve been exercising more and losing weight I needed to lose- which has been a good focus and has made me feel happier and more relaxed. I think once the good weather comes in also that will help with stress levels. I hope things ease for you and that you can start feeling more relaxed for a few months before trying again. It’s not easy this is it 😔

MgW1 · 23/02/2021 10:44

@thislittlebird
Wow you get a lot for your money with the healthspan - 1 year supply! Im going to order some x

Misty84 · 23/02/2021 10:55

@climbershell I’ve had to wait a few months between each of my appointments, it didn’t help when things got cancelled because the doctors needed to ‘be redeployed’- I assume to help with Covid when it was very bad.

I actually paid to have the transvaginal ultrasound done privately in the end, but I still have to discuss the results with the NHS doctor before being able to have the HyCoSy (even though I have already discussed them with the private doctor!). It’s just the steps/process the hospital needs to go through I guess...
I’m hoping at least that this year I’ll have everything done and know whether or not to go down the ivf route... 4 of my friends have done ivf and they all have their babies now!

Misty84 · 23/02/2021 10:57

@climbershell But I’m sure wait times must vary between different hospitals depending on many factors, so things could be a lot quicker for you 🤞

thislittlebird · 23/02/2021 11:17

Oh I had no idea @MgW1! I ordered that thinking it was a month and I’ve just checked my box and realised I have a year of tablets lmao. The only reason we get some stuff from healthspan is they’re vegan and my husband is pescatarian so I’m in the habit of shopping for vegan supplements. I think I’ll start them today.

My next plan needs to be fitness. I actually felt like I might like to go for a run this morning which hasn’t happened since before Christmas. Need to get back in my health bmi.

thislittlebird · 23/02/2021 11:17

*healthy

Pamparam · 23/02/2021 11:23

Ah, so sorry @MgW1. I don’t have any real advice although your DH’s idea seems sensible. Sending you virtual love!

Good luck everyone peaking this week. My body has thoroughly trolled me this month. Onwards and upwards

MgW1 · 23/02/2021 11:34

@thislittlebird
Yes deffo start on them! It can take up to 3 months to get enough in your system .... im going to wait now for my smear and then start trying again , i need a break from the madness. After I had my big mc iv put myself under lots of pressure to get preg again by what would have been my due date in March and now i can accept that it wont happen and move on xx

thislittlebird · 23/02/2021 11:45

That sounds like a good plan @MgW1. A little less stress will be good for you.

I’ll definitely start them today. Still a little shocked I’m supposed to be ovulating soon, let’s hope the acupuncture gives me a less horrendous tww experience.

thislittlebird · 23/02/2021 11:50

Just got my initial referral letter. They said “it’s being reviewed” whatever that means, and I should call if I’ve not heard by 4th March.

climbershell · 23/02/2021 13:03

@Misty84 what were the stages going from TTC to getting a scan? First blood test & semen analysis, then what?

My single friend had a scan mid/late 20s to check her egg reserves etc, then approx 3 years ago another one, big drop in reserve and still single started trying, had two failed IUI cycles and one failed FET before success, her little boy is 2. She went private

selina37 · 23/02/2021 13:11

@MgW1 I've literally only just started the B6, it's not even been a week! Sorry!

MgW1 · 23/02/2021 13:14

G.P referring me to a recurrent miscarriage specialist... she says she has no idea on the wait time 🙄 xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/02/2021 13:23

@MgW1 well at least that's something! Mine hasn't referred me anywhere lol

MgW1 · 23/02/2021 13:30

@Marvellouslymadmum
You need to request ? Its not acceptable ? G.P did say there maybe nothing wrong it may be one if those things and to keep trying but im taking a break now so i can get smear done and dusted. Only think is you have to wait 12 weeks post any stage miscarriage but i need another focus , emionally cant carry on like this !! X

Marvellouslymadmum · 23/02/2021 14:03

@MgW1 aww I completely get it, ttc is mentally exhausting! I've got blood tests for progesterone etc on 9th March so I think I'll wait for the results then maybe request a referral after that.

thislittlebird · 23/02/2021 14:13

I had to have two sets of results to get a referral but it seems to differ everywhere from what I can see being on here. Definitely ask for a referral @Marvellouslymadmum.

Have officially started my year's supply of B6 @selina37

I'm very annoyed that everything is so booked already. Just had a browse at Lake District locations for our long overdue honeymoon (minimoon?) it's not looking like a vast array of choice. Pffft.

MgW1 · 23/02/2021 14:26

@Marvellouslymadmum
There is a lot of treatment available for recurrent miscarriages so hopefully you can get referred. Good luck with b6 @thislittlebird you have plenty to go at there with your supply! Im ordering mine 🙂 xx
