@climbershell
Yesterday but the background is yellow because i took my vitamin ( b12 & folic with dissolvable vit c ) the night before which makes my urine bright yellow! Had 2 miscarriages ... hoping for 3rd time lucky 🤞🏻x

MgW1 · 21/02/2021 09:25

@climbershell
If your not lucky this month then get some evening primrose oil supplements from supermarket , take them until cycle day 14 and then use opk's cos it can delay ovulation by a few days in some people. Its helps you to produce ewcm and you will notice a difference. Got pregnant last time 1st month with epo which ended in mc eventually but not connected. This time iv produced more than enough ewcm so not needed to use it but its deffo worth a bash and harmless , just helps estrogen levels x

selina37 · 21/02/2021 09:35

@MgW1 that looks very promising! Enjoy your walk and keep the positivity flowing!

@Loladoodle 😞 it's crap isn't it?!

I got myself some B6 to take (100mg as no 50mg)! Going to take it with my usual B complex.

thislittlebird · 21/02/2021 09:59

Fingers crossed for you @MgW1!

I’ve bought b6 and magnesium because I read magnesium balances the oestrogen somehow and b6 encourages the progesterone but I need to read more about it, haven’t quite decided when to take them. Debating whether to do 50mg pre O then 100mg after or just take it after O. I say all this assuming I’m ovulating of course 🙃

Going to have a google today in the hormones and supplements front to make sure I’m doing it right.

Loladoodle · 21/02/2021 10:33

@selina37 I remember someone telling me not to take more than 50mg b6, I can’t remember the reason but was negative physical impact to do with muscles and numbness in limbs. I would just cut them in half and take them. I did that before when I could only get 100mg.

@MgW1 🙏 this is it for you. Tests looking very hopeful!

M4v3r1ck · 21/02/2021 10:39

@MgW1 that line is definitely darker! 😃 So much 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you!

Welcome @climbershell - totally relate re: Googling etc! Plus this whole area is a minefield with what to do/not to do! 🤦🏻‍♀️ it sounds like you're doing everything you can re: health, fitness, etc! So hopefully you'll get a sticky BFP soon! 🤞🏻

Absolutely loving those positive stories! 😍😍😍 it's going to happen to us, ladies! 😘😘😘

@Geriatric1234 how was your cycle this month? Did you have crazy BBT etc too? I keep having the odd panic that my body has/is broken (so I should stay off Google), even though I know I just need to give it time! 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Kitekat81 🤞🏻 for some good news on your AMH! As some of the others have said, you could try and get an acupuncturist for medical purposes? 🤔

I'm intrigued about EPO... so we've only take up to ovulation?! I've never had any luck on tracking EWCM! Same with cervical position! It just seems like a dark art to me! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Then again, I never had any joy with cheap OPKs either - @Marvellouslymadmum I'm like you; can never seem to find peaks!! Hoping I'll have better luck with CB next month when my cycle calms down!

@thislittlebird how delayed was your ovulation? What day did you get your peak?

I also read about warm feet on the MC thread, so I'm all over this as I have such cold feet despite being a warm person! Might treat myself to some more cosy socks! 😍

@MgW1 Good luck, I hope so much it works out for you xx

Pretty sure this morning was our last chance this cycle from ovulation pains yesterday evening. I was awake 7:30, waited til 10 to wake my partner keen to dtd he was so sleepy, really wasn't in the mood (not that I am!) and asked if we can do it later. Said that prob too late, so we tried but he couldn't climax damn. Guess we did last 4 days so wouldn't have made much difference...

thislittlebird · 21/02/2021 10:53

I’m happy using CB because OPKs confused me and didn’t go dark, but then maybe my hormones are the issue and not OPKs Confused

Well, my ovulation is confusing me tbh @M4v3r1ck. I think I ovulate, I get all the signs and I got my LH peak at CD15 on CB last month and I got a rise (not huge but still a rise) on CD17. I don’t think this is unusual for me, from a couple of bad charts back last summer ovulation seems to be around day 16-18. Decided not to chart this month because I got a low progesterone result of 10 and the chart will only stress me out more if it doesn’t behave, so I’m just using clear blue and taking my supplements.

Yeah I was just reading about this @selina37 @Loladoodle and it swayed me to stick with the 50mg per day and maybe only after O to cd1.

sickofthisyear · 21/02/2021 11:46

Eek- there's no way I can reply to all the posts I've missed 🤦🏼‍♀️ @MgW1 looking good! All fingers crossed!
Interesting reading about vitamins etc. I have to take high dose Folic as have higher risk of NTD, also I would recommend Vit D to most people at the moment (possible link found between low Vit d and COVID) as we've all missed our foreign sunny holiday 😢
I've just started Vit B6 100mg as have read it can help with PMS/PMDD- something I've really struggled with to the point where we considered going back on Mirena (and obv stop TTC). Last month was awful 😞
Also managed to get some non-FW DTD in last night 😁 which unfortunately doesn't happen too much here, as I remember reading something about your immune system overreacting to sperm if it's 'not used to it' 🤔 and you should try and have sex sporadically so that doesn't happen in FW. (will try and find the actual scientific words somewhere!)

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/02/2021 12:21

@MgW1 yay that line is deffo darker 🤞🏻 for you!

I keep thinking I'll add this suppliment and that one and then when I see stuff like take this one then and this at this time and don't take to higher or lower dose etc it makes me think I may be better off without - what if I take the wrong dose or at the wrong time? Will that make things worse? 🤪

On a positive note I've got my first flashing smiley today which is just cd6 (the same day I got the first higher reading with the strips last month) so do I now test twice a day until I get the static one? It seems so early to me but then I only had a 25 day cycle last Moneybarn 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

sickofthisyear · 21/02/2021 12:42

@Marvellouslymadmum wow that is early- I've only just started OPK today on cd7! How long was your period and how many days of ⭕️ did you get before flashing? Worried now I'll miss mine! 🙈 I think they do advise twice daily now but would have to recheck leaflet? I'm going to run out of sticks this cycle ☹️££

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/02/2021 12:52

@sickofthisyear I know! My cycles are all over the place since the mc 😑 it was 3 days and I did the first opk day 4 got an empty circle. It the cb app told me I didn't need to test until today so didn't bother yesterday just did the first one as a sort of practice try. How long is your cycle normally? I've put mine in as 25 days as that's what it was last month but the month before was like 54 days (because of mc) then before that they were around 28 days but could vary a few days either way.

thislittlebird · 21/02/2021 13:04

What are you using to test? @Marvellouslymadmum

I know what you mean re supplements. I was on the same supplements for a while there and then went down the rabbit hold because of my low progesterone. Found this site which I thought was quite useful: www.fertilityclinicsandiego.com/understanding-fertility/wellness-and-fertility/supplements-to-aid-fertility/

We're already doing some of this but not on such high doses, generally.

On my google travels today I've learned l-arginine, vitamin e and vitamin c (from studies) might be good for my low progesterone but they dosed the women at 6000mg of l-arginine per day and I'm not doing that lmao. My husband has a giant pot of it here and the 1000mg dose are horse tablets, I don't want to see 6000mg Confused.

The logic seems to be that corpus luteum blood flow has a direct correlation to d21 progesterone results, so increasing the blood flow might help me...I can only hope so.

How have you found the b6 so far @sickofthisyear?

thislittlebird · 21/02/2021 13:06

Ignore me @Marvellouslymadmum, you've answered the test thing, I hadn't refreshed my page.

sickofthisyear · 21/02/2021 13:13

Ah ok. So did you have a really short AF? I think once you've started you need to test everyday otherwise it gets 'confused'. It's looking for a rise in estrogen and that can happen early in cycle but not to same extent as 'high fertility'. The test needs a few days in a row to establish a baseline then it knows what a 'real' increase is. If you look on clear blue website that explains it a bit. Did you use first morning urine? (apparently later samples can show high fertility when it's not).
I would keep testing but don't be surprised if you go back to ⭕️ again and it goes flashing again in a few days. But if your cycles are v irregular it may be that those OPK just may not be ideal for you. Any chance you can just DTD every other day regardless? (I know we couldn't 😕)

sickofthisyear · 21/02/2021 13:16

@thislittlebird I've only been taking it less than a week after an awful fortnight pre-AF spurred me into action. No obvious effects so far! Would say I'll report back next month but obviously hoping to not have PMS at that point!

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/02/2021 13:33

@thislittlebird the vitamins are such a minefield! I'll have a look at the link.

@sickofthisyear 3 days af is about standard for me, sometimes I get a bit of spotting before or after but the main part is almost always around 3 days. It's funny as other people said it needs just one day as a base line. I'm not sure if it would've been today anyway as it was cd6 last month that I got a high too so who knows! I did use fmu and we are dtd every other day anyway this month. They're not usually that irregular just a few days each way up until dec/January and now they're weird haha

sickofthisyear · 21/02/2021 13:45

Sounds like you'll catch it anyway then. I don't know how people can say it only needs one day though?
For benefit of anyone else then have edited the CB graph (disclaimer this is obv a very approximate explanation!) By skipping a day you are not giving the reader the 'red' arrow reading (small increase). Therefore it thinks the two readings you've done are on consecutive days (as per instructions) and they give the reader a larger 24 hr increase in estrogen than would normally happen unless you were in FW and it therefore gave you flashing smiley.
Last month I only had one day of flashing smiley which panicked me into thinking my cycles are getting irregular after last loss. Now I think I just started testing too late in cycle so the reader had to wait longer to confirm an estrogen rise (as all 'baselines' were higher by that point). I was also having EWCM but it was showing ⭕️. Am hoping things will be more predictable this month!

thislittlebird · 21/02/2021 13:51

God I’d love us all to not have to take anything next month @sickofthisyear Grin

Fingers crossed the b6 is ok and I’ll start it soon myself.

sickofthisyear · 21/02/2021 13:57

As you can see I am way over invested in this monitor! Just that we don't regularly DTD and DH would not be able to deal with 24-48 hrs notice of FW! So I am reassured knowing I (usually) have a longer window of opportunity to 'seduce' him! 😂. Last time we TTC using it, I had CP first month then BFP the next so the timing must have been right! Annoyed with myself for not starting on time last month.

thislittlebird · 21/02/2021 13:57

Ngl, I’m confused by this CB info. But I know it’s supposed to be one per day using fmu (that’s what the cb advanced fertility monitor asks for anyway) for 10 days. This month it wants me to test from 18-27 Feb. For some reason I’m always HIGH then PEAK (it automatically gives you a second day after it detects your first peak) and never LOW, but I don’t test before it asks or anything.

thislittlebird · 21/02/2021 13:58

Are you using the advanced monitor @sickofthisyear?

sickofthisyear · 21/02/2021 14:04

Yes, the one with two hormones, with flashing smiley and then static. Not the expensive machine one! Odd that you don't get any low fertility days- what CD are you starting on?
Bear in mind that the pic only shows a typical hormone profile- everyone's varies to some extent and unfortunately possible more so for those over 40 (like me).

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/02/2021 14:07

@sickofthisyear ahh I see, well I'll Carry on testing each morning now and see if it goes back down or stays up or whatever lol
