Oh I definitely won’t trust anyone, I’ll be making sure to chase on Monday and asking for a time line until I am seen, covid or not, they must know what the average wait time is.

Look what came through the post this morning.. I am supposed to call on the 1st day of my period to get booked in. What a shame it was posted a couple of days too late for me. Something to book on for next month. Relieved but scared after a year of waiting for this appointment to get the ball rolling

@MrsKin90 not a problem, but no I didn’t look how much they are! There’s also a finger prick check but the strips might end up cheaper as the finger prick check is £40 and I think that’s for just one cycle, the strips are good to check over a few cycles.
I didn’t even know they existed, bloody hell if we kept up with this we’d be constantly poas, drawing blood, taking temps etc etc 😴

@ComebackQueen 😂 my birthday is in march. Sorry. By 'month' I definitely meant 'cycle' 🤣 I'm still a pisces though!! Definitely push and stand up for yourself ❤️ let me know how you get on.

@Sydney1986x that's exciting!! Something to "look forward" if this new cycle isn't a winner. Did you wait a year for this letter after being referred for it?! I want one of these but not sure I can wait a whole year 😱

@MrsKin90 yes unfortunately just under a year. I received one letter advising I was being triaged and will hear back and then COVID hit so everything was paused. It mentioned after this investigation I will be given a bespoke care plan so fingers crossed it is quicker. I know from area to area it can differ greatly with wait times xx

Can I join the Pisces gang too? My birthday is also March- undoubtedly the best star sign

@Sydney1986x fantastic news about your letter- definitely something to keep you positive if you aren't successful this cycle. Such a shame you had to wait nearly a year for it. @MrsKin90 I hope you won't have to wait as long for yours- I know some areas have different waiting times don't they?

@Oilyoilyoilgob you and DH should get some sort of SI marathon medal! I am in awe of your monumental efforts! Hope DH's poor testicles get some rest this weekend

@Oilyoilyoilgob Thank you. I've only just seen your post. AF came for me on Wednesday so I've been avoiding conception boards.

I have a fertility clinic appointment but that's not until early March as the receptionist said they're very busy at the moment so I've got another cycle of dodging several police forces to get to my donor! I haven't made it easy for myself by finding someone so far away but it has pros and cons.

Thank you. It's not that kind of appointment really. It's a video call with a private clinic where they probably try to persuade me to do IVF.

Oh no @bitheby I’m sorry to hear your period came and completely understand you taking some time away from the boards.
Wishing you the best of luck police dodging next month! Hopefully lockdown will ease up soon and that will take some of that worry away.
The video call will be useful to get info for if/when you needed their help 😊

@Makingnumber2 I did strike his ego by telling him how good he’d been to keep getting it out! I just bloody hope it works 😂 no SI from tonight onwards so he’s got a break. It’s bloody tiring doing this.
Oh how I envy all these celebs who all seem to say ‘we thought we’d give it a try and I was pregnant in one millisecond’ 🙄😐 try 13 syringes done and not a peep 😏😬

Omg, @MrsKin90, saying I would ovulate CD19 seems to have actually worked, just got a positive OPK 😂😂. Delighted. All systems go here now. I hope yours doesn't keep you waiting this cycle!

Isn't it funny how many Pisces birthdays there are on here 😁. It got me thinking that if I get my BFP this cycle, my due date would be less than 2 weeks from my birthday! Ooh, would be best present ever!

With you saying that I decided to torture myself and do a pregnancy calculator, I’d be due 2 days before my birthday giving me a Scorpio baby to match me 🦂 I shouldn’t do it as now I’m daydreaming 🙈 so will get back to watching tv but oh to dream!

@Bluey18 I'm very impressed with your power to influence your body 😂 I'm CD18 today so this is the day I said I WILL ovulate. We shall see. Fingers crossed for you and for a baby born in time for your birthday!

@Oilyoilyoilgob 😬 I do this as well. I work out when I'd have my 12 week scan, when and how I'd tell people. I'd currently get my 20 week scan the day before we go on a mini break 😂 in imaginary land.

Currently annoyed at myself for not booking my blood test in for Monday 1st as I imagine by the time I ovulate that would have been fine 🙄 idk why I thought I'd ovulate so much earlier than usual. I'm having lots of little cramps and still fertile CM so here's hoping. Maybe my body is holding off to get my bfp on my actual birthday??Delusional.

@Bluey18 aw I’d love it, a fellow water sign baby as husband is also a water sign! So yeah in imaginary land today that’s what’s happened, and no need to apologise because I LOVE to daydream 💖 it’s one of my favourite things to do. I love the optimism from you ☺️

@MrsKin90 I do it still from my pregnancy that didn’t happen. I’d have had my 12 week scan before Christmas so I’d full on imagined us telling my parents on Christmas Day, I’d have been due in May! So I still think about it but only with a bit of sadness and actually some comfort as I hope it’ll happen again and stay around so the dreams become a reality 😊

Oh why not give them a call Monday and see if they can see you, it’s definitely worth a try 🤞🏻 people might have cancelled-fingers crossed! Or try get the two booked in for next month now and clear it with your GP that you can cancel one of them as soon as you’ve ovulated?

Need a bit of a handhold guys. Went for my early scan this morning and they can see the gestational sac but nothing in it- I'm 6w5d and was expecting to see a foetal pole and yolk sack. Said to come back in 10 days time for a rescan. Just feel really upset that there was nothing there to see and am losing hope now that this is a viable pregnancy. Symptoms have really dialled down in last 48 hours, although still got a really strong positive on dip strip yesterday evening (stronger than control line). Just feel so sick with worry about it all now and 10 days feels like an eternity to wait. 10 days time is same day as my 8 week booking appointment too so not sure whether to cancel that/reschedule until I know if the pregnancy is viable?

@Makingnumber2 I'm so sorry the early scan didn't give you the reassurance you were looking for, but it's always a gamble with these things! Was it a vaginal or an abdominal scan?
Not all babies grow at the same rate, especially in the beginning! And because they start off so tiny, even a few days off can make a huge difference. Are you sure about when you ovulated?
The next 10 days are going to be difficult but there is a good chance the next scan will show that the little bean has caught up! 😘

@Oilyoilyoilgob I will give them a call Monday 😊 still not ovulation for me so fingers crossed I Monday 1st will be a good time for a blood test. I imagine that's even harder to think about, but being positive it'll definitely happen for you again and you'll have new dates to think about.

@Makingnumber2 I'm sorry you didn't see what you expected at your scan. Is there a chance your dates are a few days off? Did you ovulate a bit later than you think? Even a few days can make such a difference to what you see apparently. Ten days is such a long time, I can't believe you have to wait that long ❤️ I'm sure someone else will have some guidance on the booking scan but I would personally reschedule so you don't have that weighing on your mind on the same day either way.

Also @Makingnumber2 no reason to cancel your booking appointment; regardless of the outcome of the second scan, you will need to talk to your midwife.

Thanks for your replies @eloiseislost and @MrsKin90- the clinic can't fit me in again for 12 days now, so that will fall 2 days after my booking in appointment. Just feels like such an eternity to wait and I feel so sick with worry about it all- I don't know how I'm going to get through the next 12 days. Trying to hold it together in front of my toddler but not really managing very well tbh. I need to step away from google too I think.

@Makingnumber2 Stepping away from Google is a good idea tbh, not least because it doesn't really have the answers. I find that with pregnancy related matters, it's almost always 50-50. You search for an issue, you find as many people with negative outcomes as with positive. So no better off really!
Any chance you can book with another ultrasound clinic earlier, in 5-7 days? That's what I would do, but, hey, I'm a little bit crazy and not notorious for my patience!
I'm really sorry you are struggling right now, I hope you can find strength in your DC and DH. ❤️
How is your DH coping by the way?

@Makingnumber2 I'm so sorry you didn't get any reassurance today, here for a handhold and sending you a big hug . I agree with the others though, even if you were just a few days off with your dates, it makes a massive difference when you are this early along. One of the most popular private scan providers near me won't offer scans before 8 weeks because of the chance of dates being wrong and people getting upset only to be rescanned at a later date and everything is fine. I am sending you every positive thought and good wish for good news at your next scan xx.

@Makingnumber2 I’m sorry the scan didn’t give you the reassurance needed and expectations were not met from it virtual hand holding and big hugs being sent your way. Like others have mentioned I wonder if the days are ever so slightly off which can make all the difference with scans. Hoping and praying that is the case, please don’t cancel your booking apt with the midwife either.

10 days will feel like a lifetime but try your best to stay away from dr Google and keep yourself distracted as much as is possible. If you need to take some time away for yourself away from your toddler do so, it’s ok to cry and a bath is always my sanctuary to have a good cry and feel all the feels hun. You’ve got this xx
