8DPO for me today so officially in the most exciting/anxious part of the cycle! My IVF jabs are arriving tomorrow, ready to start next week - but woudn’t it be amazing if I didn’t end up using them?! Hah. Had a couple of glassess of prosecco yesterday to celebrate a friend’s birthday but also to send me off to no-alcohol land for at least a month afterwards.

@MrsKin90 wishing you all the luck in the world for your SI this month. I really do hope you get your much longer for positive test. I hope you’ve been well and so good that you’ve ovulated and are able to keep tracking ovulation ☺️

@primrosechill again, wishing the very very best to you during your tww. I’d love for you to get your bfp and I honestly think you’re awesome starting your ivf journey.
It really gives me hope reading your messages, your strength is shining through.

I’m cd30, feeling a few twinges so I think I’ll get my period sadly. Viewing this and next cycle as a bonus due to me having the mmr but I won’t lie, I’ll know I’ll be very upset if my period arrives. I’d thought how lovely it would be if I got a bfp during these bonus cycles and wouldn’t have to go down the extra help route.
This is cycle 7 of ‘proper’ trying but it’s been 13 months altogether not including SI.
I’ll be 40 in November and we are so conscious of that in regards to fertility help. Wish my innards age matched the age I feel in my head, about 27 😅😏 xx

I need to come on here to vent.. sorry but I have nowhere or no one else to vent to 😔.

My best friend has told me this morning she is pregnant. I am happy for her but I just feel so numb. I am the last remaining friend without a child.. I feel like I am part of a club I just can’t get into and it’s so painful. I’m trying my hardest to get my shit together because I have a virtual conference this morning for work.

I am likely to ovulate in the next couple of days so we have been SI’ing daily. I know this stress and anxiety is not going to help me but I can’t help how I feel..!! Maybe il take a walk on my lunch break to gather my thoughts.

Congratulations to @Bluey18 and @Bizawit so so pleased for you both. Please pass on any pearls of wisdom or anything you did differently this month?

This month I am trying some SI with and without the ferti-lily and both morning and night alternate days, maybe twice when I reach peak ov. Hoping the hycosy has helped to ‘clear things out’ 🤞🏻 As grim as that sounds !!

@Carol1980 I am so sorry to hear about your turmoil, it must be driving you insane and I hope you get some answers and assurances too. I am keeping everything crossed for you that it is an implantation bleed. Not sure how helpful this is but my friend who has just announced her pregnancy had similar to you, with the bleed, but CM like stickiness and it ended up being implantation. I hope it’s the same for you darling 💛

@Sydney1986x I was exactly the same as you all my mates had kids !! I was literally the last to have a child and to be honest it was shit ! Does your mate know the problems you've been having ?
It does get easier but the initial ffs is real and vent away as no one will know how it feels better than us x

@Sydney1986x Just want to give you a virtual hug xx. One of my closest friends is having her third in May, I remember when she announced in Oct, I'd already been trying a long time and I had so many mixed emotions, some I'm not proud of. Please be kind to yourself, it is OK to be sad.

I don't really have any tips. I tried the ferti-lily a few times that cycle but wasn't consistent using it. I still put my legs up for 30 minutes even when I did. And we did 5 days in a row over ovulation, the most we'd ever done (I think DP is still recovering!).

@Sydney1986x please come here to talk, don’t feel bad or apologise. There’s many of us in the same boat longing for even just one baby so a lot of us know that stomach dropping feeling of hearing an announcement from a friend or family member.

The being happy for them but that absolute crushing disappointment and pain.

A walk during your lunch in this lovely weather sounds a great idea, and just keep looking after yourself as best as possible.

@Carol1980 yeh she knows all about everything and I wonder if she’s kept it a secret as she knew I had my hospital apt last Friday.. it’s a hard one for her too as I’m sure it feels a bit awkward to share but I’m glad she’s messaged me and I haven’t found out via a social media post if that makes sense! How are you feeling today?

I was hoping that surprise "traditional" event might have been a very good omen for you! ❤️ Sooooo many people seem to be having babies at 40 now. Don't let a stupid number defeat you. I had acupuncture yesterday thanks to you. I'm going to stick with it 🥰 I deserve to make that time for myself.

I'm here to make you feel better 😂 The next "in real life" friend or person that tells me they're having a baby might actually get told to fuck off and stay out of my orbit. I cannot take another fucking announcement. My best friend is due her second baby in July. My best friend at work colleague is due in July. My neighbour is hugely pregnant and has suddenly taken up walking so I see her go past the window every day. I'm sure I've seen her more in the last few weeks than I have in the last four years. I'm trying not to be utterly bitter and a bit horrid but you know what? I AM. And it's okay. As long as I don't actually take it out on them. I'm just letting myself be bitter when I need to and only engaging in these pregnancies when I feel strong enough to. They've got other people who can support them when needed. I need SPACE.
Just think when you do get your baby, all your friends babies will be out of the cute new-baby phase and will be jealous of your adorable smooshy baby! Keep going with SI, we'll all get there 👍

Do we want to be the "undergraduate" thread, so it leads into the SI graduate one? Wondering this would create a positive omen or if it'll be a constant reminder 🤔 I'm anxious that we are going to run out of room 😬

It feels like a sick joke at times, honestly!

I love the idea of an undergraduate thread as a name and think we need to add something in there about SI so any newbies can find us too that want to embark on this journey with us!

I think the new name sounds great.

Nothing new to report my end.

I think the lines are getting lighter which is good and still got the same bleeding that I've been having but checked my cervix and I think it's moved down.

I suspect it's been a chemical or MMC or whatever the hell you call a really early MC theses days.

I'm more at the stage of I wish to deck my normal period would start so o can get on to the next cycle !! It honestly feels like this is taking forever !!

@Oilyoilyoilgob @primrosechill I’ve got all my fingers and toes crossed for you. I know how anxious this part of the cycle can be. I always felt like I was running Greg gauntlet every time I went to the loo! (Still do to be honest).

@Sydney1986x I’m so sorry that you’ve had such a difficult day 😔. It’s so so hard and so unfair. Vent away ❤️❤️. In answer to your question - the main things that were different for me this cycle were 1) I had a hycosy. No idea if that was a factor, but it could have been! I really hope it has the same effect for you 🤞🏻. 2) I started to wonder if cervical mucus could be a factor for me, because I had that awful yeast infection etc. , I’m pretty dry down there and I never seen to get any EWCM (sorry TMI!) So I started eating natural yogurt, took a probiotic and I also used conceive plus fertility lube everytime I SI’d. 3) I also SI’d more this cycle / started earlier than I normally do (mainly because I ended up ovulating a bit later than usual), so I SI’d 4 days before O, day of O and day after O. Again no idea if any of these things actually made a difference or it was just a coincidence that it worked this cycle.

Thanks @Bizawit and @MrsKin90 but chatting with husband tonight and realised I need to ignore me period tracker app and stick with premom-I’m bloody due Monday 5th April 😩
I was counting 32/33 days which I normally am, but I had a 29 day cycle combined with ovulating later than normal. So going by my normal 15/16 day luteal phase, I’ll be due a period Sunday or Monday.
So a longer wait aaaaaaaarrrrggghhhhhh!

Mrs kin, bless you that’s a load of pregnant ladies near you at all times, good for you for accepting those feelings. We all have them, totally normal and I think it’s better to accept them then try act like everything is ok.
So happy you enjoyed acupuncture and you’re carrying on with it, what a great chance for some proper you time, which can only help not hinder ☺️
I had mine today, felt quite emotional during and after. Thank god for mask wearing to cover my Rudolph nose from crying in Tesco!

@Carol1980 and @Sydney1986x I'm sorry to hear about the tough time you're having.

I've been brown-spotting for 4 days and expecting AF at some point. Am skipping SI this cycle as its the one following the MC and will be back on it next cycle. I don't usually spot before AF so this cycle has been a bit odd.

Anyone on here with recurrent miscarriages had the anti-phospholipid antibodies: anti cardiolipin antibodies, lupus anticoagulant and anti Beta 2 glycoprotein 1 antibodies, or the thrombophilia test?

I've pasted that from the letter from my consultant.

I will also ask on the miscarriage section.
