Anyone else in their 2ww?

Hi all,

Is there any others currently in their 2ww?

OH works away so we could only DTD 2-3 days before O. So I don't know whether I'm that hopeful. Plus it's our first month trying for #2.

So is there anyone else currently waiting and we can support each other through the wait? I'll be 10dpo on the 22nd which would be amazing if I get a positive as it will be a year on from a loss.

Babydust to all x

Also reading everything on the internet. I feel I should no better and be able to chill out by now but no. Every little sign and I'm looking at Google. I was chilled out till I got offered the coronavirus vaccine in my 2ww which initiated a lot of I feel justified googling, but since that justified googling I'm afraid it's just become a habit I can't stop. I'm not testing today but will do tomorrow in the very unlikely event AF doesn't come today. X

Welcome @DizSquiz

@Violet1988 I think we’re all the same 😂 I don’t know how ladies stay so calm in the 2ww! Every time I say to myself I’m not going to stress or google I’ll just go with the flow and it never happens! I literally count down the days 😂 I need to relax more with it I think.

Welcome @DizSquiz 🤍

@2manytattoos

Can I join please? AF is due tomorrow, dont usually get cramps when its due but had cramps for around 45 mins this morning, feeling very wet down there, sorry too much information! Will be testing Tuesday if AF doesn't make her unwelcome appearance in the mean time.

Fingers crossed for you! Keep us updated ❤️

Last night I was so grumpy. I had sharp pain very low, middle tummy which had now gone. I then got into bed and had some cramping and thought that’s af early (day 28, usually 31/32 days) but I’ve had early af before. Now stopped again. I feel really nauseous but I wasn’t well last week and I think it’s just the dregs of that, surely it’s too early to be PG related? I keep looking at bloody baby things and looking at threads. Today is day 29. So I’m due Wednesday or Thursday. Feels like an eternity

@WaitingForEgg I've been having some symptoms too, sore boobs, lowered immune system, shooting pains, exhaustion but I think it's too early for me to be pregnant and keep thinking I'm going to have an early AF too... hopefully it's promising for both if we're having AF symptoms early... surely we both can't be having AF early and that means it could be the month for BFP?? @alixxx1🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I’m trying so hard not to hope but I’m really hoping it’s Implantation. What cycle are you? I’ve had other months where I was sure I was pregnant and obviously wasn’t 😂🙈🤣

@Gspps I'm also 3 dpo, however I'm not certain as I didn't test, it's just what my tracking app said, but regularly dtd anyway every 2 days, I want to buy tests can anyone reccomend? Sorry I'm still getting used to the acronyms

Apparently pink dye are better than blue dye so would find one like that, and first response has a really low tolerance so can detect early I’ve heard good things xx

@WaitingForEgg we've been trying since November but couldn't DTD anywhere near O until January so cycle 1 of actually standing half a chance! X

@DizSquiz I second @Gspps pink dye tests!

@Gspps I'm getting sore boobs and period cramps 6dpo! Really hoping it's something! Have you got any other symptoms alongside cramping? X

9 days until I can test apparently 🙌🏼 Must be a week for you 😁 xxx

@Violet1988 have you had the first vaccine?

@Violet1988 I think I’ll be the same. I’ve had really little pink mixture on tissue this morning so I’m guessing AF will make an appearance shortly.

Can I get your advice ladies... so my wedding has been moved 3 times 🙈 first due to get married Aug 2020 and then May 2021 we’ve now moved it to May 2022 (I’m not moving it again! 😂) point is I’ve bought everything and I’m good to go! So I have my dress.. that fits me now. I don’t know when’s the best time to stop trying and wait till after I get married?
I was thinking Feb would be our last chance. Giving me 6 mths to then get in shape for my dress! I know it sounds so selfish but my mum has paid so much for the dress I need to fit in it 🙈
When would you stop trying? I think March is already out the window as Mr is not home when I O.

@NW2021 I think its so difficult to say as everyone bounces back differently from pregnancy. Also you want to be enjoying a newborn not stressing about your eating habits or working out. Tbh I had a baby in 2016 and 2019 and only now have I started having time to myself to exercise again. That's probably more extreme though and depends on how you feel about leaving the babies etc which you won't know till you've had them.

After number one I did lose the weight pretty quick so think 6 months is an ok sort of time frame. Also are you thinking of breastfeeding, because if so your boobs may be bigger than before? And my hips were wider after childbirth and I don't think any exercise could change that it's just how my shape is now.

So yeah basically it's loads of unknowns and no one can really say whether it would be enough time or not. Also you might find you care far less about the dress anyway after the baby? X

Is it the sort of dress that can be altered?

Report
Violet1988 · 18/01/2021 10:58

@WaitingForEgg yes I'm a nurse had my first dose of the pfizer vaccine. It's only about 50% effective until the second dose and then it's about 95% effective. But it means missing three cycles 😢. I would love to try to have the same gap between 2and 3 that I have between 1and 2 which I would get if I conceived next month but I know it doesn't really matter in the face of a global pandemic if I end up with a bigger gap. X

@Violet1988 sorry I know I sound nosy. I’m a doctor and have had my first dose also, though of AstaZeneca, so if pregnant I guess I’ll only be having the one for the time being... also have to decide what to do if I’m not

@Violet1988 thanks! Luckily I’ve had no alterations done at the moment and hips & boobs were one of the things where it was to big! I have no boobs 😂
I guess you’re right everyone different circumstances. Just wondering if anyone was in a similar position? TTC but wedding due in the next 12-18mths.

I'm in the same situation! Originally May 2020, then May 2021, now May 2022. Hoping for a BFP between now and I'll probs stop ttc in feb/March as my sister wedding dec 2021 (originally 2020) and I need to fit into bridesmaid dress, will start trying again After May 2022 if no luck between now and March

@WaitingForEgg interesting that we are in the same situation. I think it's a really hard decision to make. It's really hard when you've started something as emotionally investing as TTC to just decide your going to take three months out. I've just looked on countdowntopregnancy and seen that the average chance per month of success for me at 33 (I'm 33 in March) is 15% per cycle. Also a point to consider is in the states the position is that they actively say pregnant women should have the vaccine (between 14 and 33 weeks). I suppose UK may change their position. But also it's considering the potential of getting covid while pregnant and the fact that serious maternal illness raises all the risks of miscarriage, preterm labour, placental problems etc. So I suppose it's considering how much risk your job places you at. As nurse jobs go mines relatively safe but there is talk of being redeployed to a covid ward so that could change.

@DizSquiz Im sorry you had to move your wedding as well! It’s so crap but given everything going on its better to be safe than sorry with people’s health etc.
I think looking at it we’re going to do the same. Try Feb/March then take a year off.
I’ve decided the next couple of months Ttc I’m going for the relaxed approach 😂 (she says!) if not let’s hope for a honeymoon baby! X
