Anyone else in their 2ww?

Hi all,

Is there any others currently in their 2ww?

OH works away so we could only DTD 2-3 days before O. So I don't know whether I'm that hopeful. Plus it's our first month trying for #2.

So is there anyone else currently waiting and we can support each other through the wait? I'll be 10dpo on the 22nd which would be amazing if I get a positive as it will be a year on from a loss.

Babydust to all x

I am so sorry @Lowkeyloopy, miscarriage is so very hard and confusing and devastating and not talked about enough sadly. I hope you are feeling as ok as you can be right now and it’s great your partner is being so supportive Flowers

@Lowkeyloopy and @Brightspark12 so sorry to hear your news 💔 I hope you have lots of supper around you

Made me emotional when you said how you talked to your tummy @Lowkeyloopy - lovely words. I had a chemical so I know what you mean about the TWW and not symptom spotting from now on.

Back in the tww, it wasn't bothering me until today. My tummy is so swollen and I feel like it's just mocking me!
Af due on the 17th so think it's too soon to test yet. Not going to try next month as it would leave me due the days of Christmas and I already have one kids birthday at xmas!!!

@Moneypenny007 I’m due around the 17th too also experiencing loads of bloating and my tummy is rock solid but been drinking iced coffee every morning so putting it down to that lol, don’t have high hopes for this month but time will tell I suppose 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Coco987 well maybe it's a good sign? I need to get out tomorrow for a walk/ run if the weather is good. Anything to take my mind off it. Are u going to test before Wednesday?

Report
Coco987 · 12/03/2021 22:47

@Moneypenny007 hoping it’s a good sign or it’s just my body telling me to fix my diet lol, going to hold off as long as I can to test and probs test on Wednesday but I’ll be doing the same going on long walks getting some fresh air and trying not to think too much about it are you going to test early??

That does sound promising @Coco987 and @Moneypenny007 I’m on cd31 of a 27-34 day cycle so potentially last day due on is Monday.

I’m going symptom spotting mad over here, my boobs are heavy and I’ve had some light stomach aches and pains which I’m sure I wouldn’t have even noticed if I wasn’t TTC and are of course usual signs of AF on its way. I’m trying to hold off until Tuesday to test as I hated seeing the BFNs last month.

Keeping fingers crossed for all of us!

@Randomness12 I feel the same symptom spotting any little thing I woke up this morning had my breakfast and went on a drive but came back feeling really sick I feel like I’m over thinking it but I don’t know don’t want to get my hopes up when it could just be travel sickness

Moneypenny007 · 13/03/2021 17:43

@Coco987 the urge to test even Monday is high but I know from last few months how shitty it is when it's a big negative.
Having the worst day today too and just feel it's a sign of how bad my week will be.

So, I have completely caved and tested this evening and I got a BFP! I am so shocked and nervous! I’ve had that sickly tired feeling all day which has come in waves so I think I just had an inkling.

@Randomness12 Omg congratulations!! So so happy for you! And I used to get travel sickness but it’s very rare that I’m not the one driving so it’s hard to tell tbh

@Moneypenny007 sending hugs I know these last few days can be tough sending all the positive vibes! Try and distract yourself as much as you can, easier said than done I know 😂

Congratulations @Randomness12 ! That's lovely news - I'm so happy for you! Hope everyone else is doing ok today - anyone testing soon?

Just thought I'd come back on and say hi because after a very cr*ppy and sad week, I had a much "lighter" day today - laughing at stuff on tv and on a fun (virtual) brunch with some friends. I'm actually feeling positive! Which would have seemed impossible just two days ago. So just in case anyone else goes through something similar.. know that it will get easier.

I've been asking Dr Google today when it's possible to try again - I spoke to two different midwives about it earlier in the week and one said they recommended waiting until after a normal period and the other was like "whenever you feel ready" and that you don't have to wait for a normal period, but it's just easier to date the pregnancy if you do that. The Miscarriage Association suggests you can start trying straight away if you want to, so I'm going to trust them..! We'll see how we feel in a week or so when I hopefully am physically completely back to normal.

How is everyone doing? @JCQ2021 @1littlewren ? Sending hugs, patience and baby dust to everyone needing an "oomph" this evening, wherever they are in their TTC journey!

Thanks everyone! Still in shock I think, especially when I think back to the app changing dates on me mid-cycle and not being sure when ovulation happened and how frustrated I was by that.

@Lowkeyloopy I had a mc before my DD, I had the same mixed advice but essentially it is just about dating the pregnancy and they will often do an early scan for that. There is physically no reason not to try straight away it’s more about when you feel ready to do so. I was about 10 weeks when I had mine so am quite nervous over here and I don’t think that will go away even though it’s 5 years later (DD is 4)

I’m so pleased you’ve had a lighter day, it does get better.

Moneypenny007 · 14/03/2021 15:07

@Lowkeyloopy sorry about your mc. I think just go with your gut on how you are feeling in the next while.

I'm thinking that this isn't our month either. I caved and tested this am and it was negative. Both my previous pregnancies were showing positive at this stage.
Gonna stop ttc for a while now and reevaluate.
Hope u all get your bfp soon.x

Hey @Lowkeyloopy so sorry for your loss. Glad you are feeling a bit brighter though. Sending virtual hugs.

Congrats @Randomness12!!

So I am in my FW and have dtd every other day so far BUT then my boss threw a spanner in the works and offered me a chance to do a qualification/promotion next academic year which would mean I couldn't disappear off preggers (more complicated than I've made it here) so I'm a bit unsure what to do for the best now because I know the offer I've been made at school won't come round too often but then I do want another baby. So at the moment I am going with if it happens this month it happens and that answers that but if it doesn't I have no clue what I'm doing 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Moneypenny007 How many DPO are you? They say you can’t judge what’s going to happen next by what happened before - you never know. Sorry I can’t remember what your “journey” has been so far - have you been trying for a while? A break could be good for your mental health, and keeping stress down can only be a good thing!

@1littlewren Oh what a tricky position to be in! But congrats on the new role! I feel like babies never fit perfectly into the plan do they?! Either too early or too late! If it doesn’t happen for you this month and you accept the role, what would happen if you fell pregnant in a few months time? Seems kinda wrong that the role could be taken away from you! I obviously don’t know the specific circumstances but I do wonder whether, as women, we’re a bit too quick to try to bend ourselves to fit whatever is going on around us. Maybe you just crack on with plan A and see whether they can accommodate you in some way?

Thanks @1littlewren I’m feeling incredibly anxious at the moment so desperately trying not to get too attached in case something doesn’t work out but should be around 5 weeks now all being well.

Your qualification/promotion sound great. I agree with the thought that there is never a right time. You could always accept and start then take a break in learning/Mat leave and return to both afterwards. These things always work out in reality.

@Moneypenny007 I hope you are doing ok. A pause to re-evaluate might be a good idea to give yourself some time and space. Flowers

Evening ladies, just thought I'd check in - how is everyone doing? Any updates for us? :)

I'm now hopefully coming out the other side of a mental month...! BFP 5 weeks ago, MC 2.5 weeks ago, UTI 1 week ago - last thing I needed! But now on antibiotics and feeling a lot better. I'm out of the dark head space I was in just after the MC and feeling a lot lighter & more positive - we're house hunting atm too which is a good distraction and quite fun / stressful in its own way!

No idea what my cycle will be up to this month before first real AF. We DTD a few times so maybe we'll catch O if I resumed normal service quickly..!

Anyway, hope everyone is well and happy!

Hey @Lowkeyloopy so glad you are coming out the other side. I can't imagine how you've been feeling. So rubbish! You've said all along though that at least you know now you can get pregnant so fingers crossed you will have a very healthy pregnancy very soon 🥰

I am taking a short break from trying to conceive due to a good opportunity at work that I want to follow before having 2 children running around! I am a teacher and timing my pregnancies is also a little bit important to me so I would have had a little break now anyway. Will recommence in the autumn I think. Not going to go back on the pill though so if it does happen then it was meant to be! I have done an awful lot of soul searching trying to work out what to do as I felt super selfish pursuing my career but I also came to realise that I want the best for my family so it's not really me being selfish. So yea, that's me. I'm going to hang around on here though because I have really enjoyed chatting to you all and want to see where everyone ends up!!

How's everyone else doing? @Randomness12 @Fifi1086 @NW2021
