CD1 (again!) - No more relaxed approach..

Hey, I was wondering if anyone wanted to join me today (or any day soon) tracking from CD1, hopefully all the way up to the BFP in 28/29/30 days time!

I know its a little unusual, we tend to only be active on here when we are waiting after ovulation, but thought it might be nice to track all the way through as a group!

Anyway, if anyone fancies it let me know!

When you count your DPO do you assume the day after peak is O day and count from there or from the peak OPK test?

@hels301990 i go by the app so the day after peak. With both boys i didnt get bfps til AF was due, so think im a slow hcg riser. Doesnt stop me early testing though!

Okay that's what I thought so my "O" will be tomorrow. I'm really going to try and wait till my period is due to test but we shall see 🙈😂

CD15 today so fingers crossed OPK turns positive today or tomorrow. I just want to be in the TWW now!

Me & hubby had a very funny DTD last night where we were both clearly exhausted but knew we just needed to get it done lol. Lucky hes so onboard otherwise it might have been trickier! It was nice tho, we led and chatted & giggled for a bit after about how silly it all was considering we caught with DS2 by accident. It was nice though!

@Braxos that was me & DH last night too. Was day 3 in a row for the smep and he looked at me and said shall we just make this quick? I said yep, I’m tired and just want the delivery 😂 got it done, laid with my legs up while we talked about how different it is this time to last time and had a giggle about the whole process. Last time he was totally ignorant about the whole process beyond ‘delivery’ bless him. Now he’s like 🤯 as he’s actually had to have it all explained to him regarding ovulation times etc 😂

Awh @Penguinmumma its nice tho! We have been so busy/tired this month I dont think we would have DTD atall yet if we werent TTCing, in a way its done us good being "forced" to connect, usually we would just stare at our phones turn over & go to sleep lol!

CD15 here to. My OPK are getting lighter so you think I had my peak on Sunday which would fit with today being ovulation day. Fingers crossed for everyone.

Still no peak here yet 😤 in fact, its dropped again! Last month it was CD16 which is tomorrow. Better be this month too, or im going to be having words with mother nature 😂

I'm the exact same as you had ever so slightly dark lines the other day but ever since all have been pale :( my CD16 is tomorrow too, Flo thinks I'll ovulate then but I highly doubt it

Hello guys update from me.. so ovulation was yesterday, but for various reasons DTD did not happen.. neither the day before, nor day before that . OH didn't want it to feel forced.. I'm just disappointed to be honest. We did however DTD twice still within the fertile window so I can only hope that still covers it... just pretty disappointed as I was trying to follow SMEP

Oh @sasbiscuit sorry to hear that! It must be very frustraring :( maybe once the "fertile window" is up you can have some DTD for fun and a good chat about why you need to up it during ov? Depends how receptive OH is i suppose? Im lucky that my OH wanted to know the complete ins & outs of TTC. We even watched the sperm-race together! Anyways, sperm can live for 5 days so you may have caught anyway. Everything crossed for you!

@sasbiscuit there is still a chance. Sperm can live for 5 days. It can become all consuming. I had a long chat with DH last night as we were kind of just letting things take it’s course then I started using the OPKs again. He told me he found the detail last time, me telling him my fertile window overwhelming. This time we’ve decided that I will track it as that helps me but he doesn’t want the details as it feels like pressure for him then. We are both enjoying ourselves trying and I actually feel more relaxed for it but who knows if there will be a baby this cycle.

Ah I hate the "pressure" in the fertile window! I'm there now - think will ov tomorrow or friday. But sperm definitely does hang around so I think any sex in the fertile window counts. Already gearing up for the tww and telling myself I need to sit on my hands until AT LEAST 10dpo and not try to symptom spot!

It's so hard not to symptom spot isn't it and I'm only like 3dpo!! Didn't manage to DTD on ovulation day itself but did the 5 days before including my "peak" LH day so everything crossed!!

Im starting to think i may have missed my surge on CD14 - altho have just had some EWCM so still may happen later I suppose! What so you ladies think? Annoyingly i flooded the test on CD14 by the looks of it, so not very clear 🙄

@Braxos - yeah I reckon ovulation around cd14/15? How long are your cycles?

30 days usually, past 2 cycles i oved on CD16 🤔

Weve dtd every other day since CD8 so doesnt matter too much if I have missed it, wanted to make sure i did the 3 times following peak tho so would be a bit annoying! I'll keep testing for a few days and if no obvious peak i'll assume it was on CD14 i guess 🤷‍♀️

@Braxos yeah cd16 doesn't look likely does it? I'm not sure tbh. I'd keep dtd every other day just in case you're gearing up for a late ovulation this cycle.

Hi everyone, can I join? Currently on day 13 and waiting for a positive OPK! I feel like TTC is consuming all my thoughts at the moment! I could spend all day looking through these threads they are so useful and interesting 🤗

I have no idea, this is my first proper cycle since the mini pill, had my withdrawal bleed last month and then a proper period which started on the 12th January for 5 days

Hi @Intrigued2020 it does feel a bit like that doesnt it! Especially waiting for OV! At least the TWW is a bit more exciting lol.

@Braxos - exactly! At least you can count down until then! I see you are 3 days ahead of me cycle wise... have you had a positive OPK yet? I ovulated last cycle on day 27 🙈 so have no idea when it will happen this time!
