@Crazydoglady123 great news that your cysts have gone! Sorry to hear about the lack of ovulation though! Do you take your bbt? I find that really useful for knowing when I’ve ovulated.

@RobinRose thanks for the link! We’re all going to get obsessed with protein now! 😂

I found it hard to look for stuff in the supermarket as I’m so worried about picking stuff up and then putting it back on the shelf again with the Covid situation even though I’m super on it with sanitiser!! So I just end up buying everything I’ve touched!! 🤣
It’s interesting that quite a few of us are veggie and we are struggling to conceive! Definitely could be a protein problem! 🤔

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/02/2021 17:38

@Annny27 yay I'm glad I've got it right with the chia seeds 😅 and protein is defo going into the title 😂
@Crazydoglady123 very frustrating for you hun, so sorry.
@SlothMamaToBe not too bad age wise. I'm 34 (for another few weeks) and Dh is 38 (since last weekend). I have two stone to lose to be my absolute ideal happy weight but a stone and a half would be good too. That's how much I've put on since the wedding and ttc 🤦🏾‍♀️ was making a decent ish effort since the start of the year and lost 4lbs and then Dh bday n Valentine's hit and I went wild for a week straight it would seem as I put 3lbs on 😬 but am bk on it again n 2lbs down now. Just gotta keep at it. I just find it so hard in lockdown my motivation is ⬇️ 👎🏾

@SlothMamaToBe my children are 16 and almost 15 so will be massive age gaps and I'm 41 dp turned 40 today but we've only been together for 5 years hence the wait! I come from a family of 5 though and we are 26, 30, 39, 41 & 47 so I know age gaps really have no effect, there's 11 years between myself and my brother and almost 16 years between me amd my youngest sister but we get along just as well as me and my sister who's just two years younger than me - probably better in fact lol

I also would like to lose a couple of stone to be back to my happy weight but saying that I don't own scales so I'm guessing 😂

SlothMamaToBe · 24/02/2021 18:43

@Marvellouslymadmum
Oh wow so you really would be starting all over again! I’m also from a big family with age gaps - oldest of us is 44 and youngest 21!! Of course youngest and oldest didn’t grow up together, but like you I am close to my other siblings - 7 and 10 years older. I think I’m just concerned how id cope physically, I’m not sure how true it is but they say labour with second baby after 10 years can be just as long as first one 😟. Totally in same predicament with lockdown and lack of motivation too! I booked my GP appointment today at least, so feeling positive about getting things sorted.

Crazydoglady123 · 24/02/2021 18:46

@crazycatlady1981 I don't because it's always hard trying to with our dogs who love to start pacing to go out early and my DS who often wakes up at 5am. I saw the internal monitors recently but consider this is the last two cycles till IVF it's not worth spending the money on now

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks lovely

SlothMamaToBe · 24/02/2021 18:54

@Crazydoglady123 aww my DD is the same! She’s always wanted a sibling. I remember her being about 6 and saying to me how much she wished she had a brother or sister ‘or a dog or anything!’ 😭🤣

laura2093 · 24/02/2021 19:22

Hello❤️

Results from OH's SA are back. He's got to have an over the phone appointment with the doctor to discuss on friday. Is this normal procedure or something they only do if something is wrong? I'm a mess xxx

Marvellouslymadmum · 24/02/2021 19:32

@SlothMamaToBe I'm not bothered about starting all over again to be honest I'm rather looking forward to it after all this time! I also have ready made baby sitters haha

@laura2093 we haven't had one yet but I think from reading other posts that's pretty normal

On another note it's oh birthday today so we had a Chinese and have a lovely cake then lots of dtd the evening 😂 I'm nit on the peak yet bush have a flashing smiley so you never know! Pic of the cake cos it's too good not to share!

TTC 12 months and longer!
notyetamumbuttrying · 24/02/2021 19:35

@laura2093 I think it's normal procedure so please don't panic yet. And if it is bad news, there's always alternatives. We were told lifestyle changes can improve sperm and will get the second SA tomorrow after nearly 6 months after his first one so he's had plenty of time to improve it now so will let you know if it's all made a difference or not!! It's prob still ivf with icsi for us but at least the sperm have hopefully improved enough to make that a success. It'll all be ok, it's just overwhelming right now when you don't know what's what. ♥️

@Marvellouslymadmum wow that cake looks scrumptious 😋 I'm salivating 🤤 happy birthday to your Dh! Sounds like a fun eve 😉

Marvellouslymadmum · 24/02/2021 19:54

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm waiting for the Chinese to go down before having a slice but I literally can't wait! Probably looking forward to the cake as much as dtd 😂🙊

SlothMamaToBe · 24/02/2021 19:59

@Marvellouslymadmum that’s precisely what my older siblings ended up doing 😄

Marvellouslymadmum · 24/02/2021 20:02

@SlothMamaToBe I used to look after my little siblings too as I'm an older one, even took them on holiday to euro Disney a couple of times! I absolutely loved it too

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/02/2021 20:17

@Marvellouslymadmum I would be too! Bloody love cake!! 🤤

That's cake @Marvellouslymadmum! 😋

Fab news @Motherofkittens28 🤞🏻 for you!

Welcome @SlothMamaToBe 😊

@laura2093 we had the same with my OH SA we had to have a consult for the results I guess it's just protocol 🤞🏻 for you though

I had a breakdown today over the whole surgery vs putting IVF on the back burner! Had a day to process it and it hit me hard ☹️ OH has been so supportive though and has said once I'm fixed we'll be back on the fertility train. We've had so many hurdles on our journey this is just another one we'll jump over and come out the other side better for it xx

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/02/2021 20:44

@Hayley19835 you defo will! Hope everything goes well with the surgery. When is it? X
