@Marvellouslymadmum I'm on my fourth day flashing smiley today. I have been doing evening tests too but it doesn't say to on the clear blue app

@Crazydoglady123 hmm I'm tempted as I missed my peak with the strips last month but at the same time we are dtd every other day anyway and if I get 10 days of flashing smileys like others have that'll be a lot of tests!

I've got such bad ovulation pains today that I had to hold myself up with the worktop just to make myself something to eat 😭😭I think I'll be getting some cocodamol out once I eat my lunch. At least I know I'm ovulating I suppose 🤣

@Marvellouslymadmum yeah we're doing every other too. If you have a shorter cycle then you'll ovulate earlier. My first flashy was on CD10.

Aww @dogmum13 glad your body is announcing you're ovulating, even if it's doing it at the volume of the 'go compare' advert guy! Hope you can take it easy today, maybe a hot water bottle?

@Dogmum13 I hate that. That's what I was like when all my cysts ruptured apparently the pain from ovulation (and also ruptured cysts) is from the fluid that's leaked into your pelvis, it's an irritant to your body. Get some pain killers into you and rest up

@Crazydoglady123 it was only 25 days last month, month before was 54 due to mc before that it was 28 days give or take 3/4 so it could be another short one!

@crazydoglady123 my gp referred me for endo but I've also wondered if I could have cysts too. Interesting to know, thank you

@Marvellouslymadmum its so hard to judge when cycles are all over the place. Mine vary from 27-35 days

@Dogmum13 ah okay. Have you had any scans or anything done yet?

No you just test with fmu with the clearblues 🙂 this is my second cycle using them and I find them so much better than the strips. Although I've always got a peak on the strips too but the clearblues give me more time to squeeze in dtd on the days that really matter. I've only use 7 each cycle so still got 11 left 🥰 looks like one box will last me roughly 3 months xx

@Crazydoglady123 nope, been waiting on NHS since August so have joined Benenden and can speed up my referral come June. Want to see how that appointment goes before we pay for private fertility tests

@Crazydoglady123 mine were normally 28 days then the odd cycle at 26/27 or 31/33 before but who knows what's happening now!

@Dogmum13 I used fmu so I'll just wait until tomorrow I think, that's good that they last you a while! Hopefully I'll get my peak soon and mine will too 🤷🏼‍♀️

@notyetamumbuttrying your OH SA tomorrow, do you find out the results instantly private? Or do you have to wait a few days?

@Crazydoglady123 yeah it's tomorrow afternoon! This appointment is nhs and with the assisted conception unit at the hospital and we were told we'd find out there n then but will see it when I believe it 😂

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks! I hope you get some good results from your tests tomorrow. Are these the private ones or NHS?

@MIW01 once the meds are here it will seem real I think! Will find out more on Tuesday but start on 2nd March. I love hearing success stories, it helps. IVF seems like such a game of luck!

@Narwhal88 thank you. Nhs tomorrow. Amh and repeat SA. Private ones will be in March. They'll be afc scan on the 8th and initial consultation on the 10th. I'm hoping if all ok we can start on my end of March period! I won't be too far behind you 😬 all getting very close now! X

We’ve just got our date for first fertility appt! 22nd March! Counting down the days!!
Does anyone know if they do blood tests at the first appt? We’ve got to get HIV, Hepatitis etc done and then we are up to date! Wasn’t sure if I have to arrange this with GP beforehand or wait until the fertility appt?

On another note, we’ve just finished watching warrior nun on Netflix!! A bit like Buffy but with nuns fighting demons instead of vampires!! 🤣 Cheesy but addictive!

We were some of the unlucky ones who had a wedding booked in October 2020! Cancelled the big day but still got married at registry office with 2 people present! It was perfect! 😬 We have got our big day rebooked for this year, but I’m not sure we’ll go through with it as we’re now focusing on IVF which takes priority and will probably use up all our wedding funds too!

@MIW01 i hear you on the rant. I am very anti the pill, although I did take it for years when I was younger. I strongly believe its caused a lot of my mental health issues and that was confirmed when I did a masters in psychology and they explained that the hormones in it change the way your brain develops at a critical time in development ( if you take it in teens and early 20s). It absolutely blows my mind that its not only legal but encouraged!

@notyetamumbuttrying we’ve got it rebooked for October this year! We kind of assumed that Covid would prevent any weddings this year anyway so we would have to postpone again regardless of ivf, but it’s looking less likely now with the vaccine rollout and I don’t want to have to tell all our guests why we’re not having a big wedding day anymore as we’re keeping the ivf to ourselves! Bit of a dilemma! 🤔

@crazycatlady1981 thanks for the luck! Im quite nervous and had a nightmare last night that all the follicles had disappeared! Also feeling super crappy the last two days, the hormones i guess.
We are due to get married in July but God knows if it will happen or not. I haven't even bought my dress yet as everything got shut down the week after I tried dresses and I wanted to go back and try it again. Luckily its an ex sample so doesn't need to be ordered. All the fun and excitement of the wedding has been completely sucked out of the process, im 39 and have waited long enough for marriage, just feels so unfair. I'm glad you got to have your ceremony and hope you still enjoyed your day regardless.

@Motherofkittens28 sorry to hear that you’re feeling crappy! I imagine that being pumped full of hormones for a month makes you feel pretty rubbish!
We managed to have a really amazing day last October despite only having our 2 friends present! Small weddings are the way forward! 😊 We spent every minute of it together (unlike if you have a big wedding and don’t get to see DH until the ceremony!) We prepared lunch and took it to an outdoor venue and had champagne and photos outdoors! Don’t really feel like we need another big day, but I feel like all our guests are expecting it now! 😕 I’m sure yours will be ok in July! Especially if you can do a lot of it outdoors!
