RudyDudy iam booked in for a laperoscapy on the 15th of dec but iam hoping that i wont need it. But have been told that people fall pg soon after having one.
Hula What doest that mean temp below coverline???
Sallie i have that too but sex does hurt sometimes because of the endo so have never related it to ov and cervix being low i will have to pay more attention now.
BeckiF well i thought i would never say this but congratulations that af arrived the drugs must be working you'll be preggers in no time

well i went to see my GP last night and she was very good - i cannot stress the importance of doing as much research as possible - because i have been doing my BBT since January i know i have been ovulating, and since i started on the OPK tests i have been able to determine that my luteal phase (which the GP says is a constant duration every month) is too short for conception. she did tell me that had i come in with non of this info to hand she would have told me to wait another 4 months before she'd agree to do any tests. As it stands i am going to the hospital on CD21 to do a whole batch of blood tests to confirm that I am ovulating (my temps confirm that i do though) and all sorts of hormone tests.

MunzieB - I only stated taking Agnus Castus last month - so too soon to tell if there's any positive effects. My GP was very dubious, but they tend to be don't they!! Oh and she warned me that many herbal remedies can affect the liver!

Ernest - if your Luteal phase is only 8 days there is no chance you can get pregnant - My GP told me that a healthy luteal phase is 12-14 days. Have you been doing your temps too to confirm you are ovulating? If so go make an appointment with your GP. Knowledge is power.

Jeddah - I will CAT you about that vitB6 article -though i am taking Pregnacare which has B6 in it.

It makes me shudder to think had i not been so well informed i would have automatically been fobbed off and told to keep at it until the Spring.

Congratulations Pamina :O :O :O

for me. AF arrived just now - loud and clear again; hope it won't be as bad as last time!

RudyDudy · 02/11/2004 10:18

Hi Tania - hope you don't need the lap. I was pg 6 months after mine.

Sorry for AF beckif. Hope the premonition comes true . When I was pg with DS I dreamt DH died. Would happily dream that again, iykwim

Hulababy · 02/11/2004 10:20

CD28 today so cycle just 27 days this time, although I did reach 13DPO (last month was only 10DPO). Temp dropped this morning so a good indicator I guess.

RudyDudy · 02/11/2004 10:21

pamina - wonderful news.

hulababy

mariella · 02/11/2004 10:23

sorry to hear that hulababy

Tessiebear · 02/11/2004 10:27

Pamina - CONGRATULATIONS Thought you were after your thread yesterday - bloody clearblue digital -

Tania2 · 02/11/2004 10:31

So sorry Hula
Maybe you should be one of the girls in for the running of starting the new thread

hester · 02/11/2004 10:36

Pamina!!!

Hula - so sorry about AF

Ebbie - if I were you I would start charting; it can't hurt, and could be very useful. Obviously you don't want to get as obsessive as some of us on this thread - well ok, me - but if you do need to seek advice at any point it will be really helpful.

valleygirl - so glad you are getting some useful help.

BeckiF - sorry about your AF but a 40 day cycle would be a great improvement. Am praying for your September baby

RudyDudy- just you keep working at it girl, I'm counting on you

hester · 02/11/2004 10:42

Oh and Rudy, was it you who asked how we keep sane in the fortnight from hell? I've tried not thinking about it and it's impossible. In the early days I tried not to get my hopes up, but now I just let myself play with the fantasy that I am pg. tbh I've been trying so long and I'm such an old croak that I don't really believe that it will happen - I went through a very, very distressed phase with this a few months ago - but I have found that allowing myself to dream that I am - and then getting disappointed - is actually less painful than constantly telling myself I won't IYSWIM.

Sallie · 02/11/2004 10:46

pamina - wonderful news!!! Seems a long time since we had good news on this thread
sorry about af's arrival Hulababy - time for some serious pampering.

RudyDudy · 02/11/2004 10:47

hi hester, yes it was me. I like your approach - it sounds a little scary, emotionally, but given that I'm putting myself through the mill anyway it might be an idea to try. I don't know if you saw my other posts but I have endo and since last week have had really bad pains. I usually get these with AF (I'm CD 25 on a 35day cycle) so I've been fantasising that I could feel ov (and bd'd accordingly ) and now that it's painful because I'm pregnant!!! I really want another DC but am concerned that I will drive myself to the loony bin first!

Twiga · 02/11/2004 10:47

Pamina3, HUGE CONGRATULATIONS, am so pleased for you - have you posted your news on the tcc after mc thread yet, they'll all be made up for you too. That's you and Cobweb now so maybe it'll be my turn soon.

BeckiF - good news about your cycle!

Ruddyduddy, welcome ++++++++++

Hula, sorry to hear about af

{{{{{hugs}}}}} Tania, thanks for starting such a lovely thread, don't be sad, I agree it would be nice to stick it out for a bit longer, but I guess if you don't have broadband it's a pain when the threads get this long. This thread seems to have hit everyone in the earlier part of the cycle so not too many bfp - not a reflection on the luck of the thread. Really hoping this month is yours, you're always so friendly to folk on here and are one of the people that keeeps me smiling x

Sallie · 02/11/2004 10:47

and beckif - sorry about your af too. Think a fair few of us will be on the new thread when it starts. Odds are that there will be more good news next months so lets keep hoping - with a bit of festive cheer too!!!

hester · 02/11/2004 10:49

Rudy, this is definitely the thread for you! You're allowed to be a little bit crazy on here, but when you start getting too scary (multiple pregnancy testing at CD17, you know the kind of thing) we will pull you back from the brink

RudyDudy · 02/11/2004 10:53

thanks hester. bizarrely feeling quite proud of myself that i've not tested yet (even though I know it would be pointless / madness) but that's how impatient I am

am so happy i've found this thread. my DH is up for having another and very supportive but with the best will in the world doesn't really get what it feels like.

Tania2 · 02/11/2004 10:59

Thanks Twiga you made me smile. Iam feeling a bit low today think its because testing time is so far away and i really am having too much sex IYKWIM it better work this month i really am over it all.

Bibi20 · 02/11/2004 11:01

Hi everyone

Congratulations Pamina!!! Just what we needed to cheer us up!

Hula - sorry about af, you mentioned that you got to 13 dpo compared to 10 dpo last month - are you taking something to increase your luteal phase?

Sallie - your cervix is supposed to be high and soft when you O so it shouldn't be causing you pain - although mine doesn't go high until right before I O (like the day before)

Valleygirl - glad your gp is helpful. I've had the blood tests (although hospital got them wrong so have to have them again this month!) - One tip, which you might not have been told (I wasn't so I asked mumsnetters) the day 21 test should actually be mid-way between O and af - so might not necessarily be day 21 for you (it's day 24-26 for me). Also is your dh / dp being checked (don't know your stats so this might not be necessary)

BeckiF - congrats on your 40 day cycle and good luck this month!
