Thanks @M4v3r1ck. I’ll take a little peek at the group as I’m slightly panicking about turning 37 shortly. I feel this pressure to conceive before my birthday which is ridiculous so hoping the group helps and puts things into perspective!

RichmondLady1981 · 17/01/2021 21:58

@Pancakes7 no never before. Like I said I’ve been actively trying for 6 months since my MMC.

For my son, we got pregnant first month of trying on honeymoon. Alcohol and coffee every day.

Second time I fell second month of trying since stopping breastfeeding in April (then MMC)

And now 6 months of solid trying and nothing. So here we go into the great unknown!

Pancakes7 · 17/01/2021 22:05

@RichmondLady1981 - 6 months isn't long to try, are you doing ivf privately? I know nhs say to try for at least a year. I got pregnant on second cycle first time then mmc, got pregnant in 3 months with my son. Got pregnant last year in May by accident with only 2 unprotected times. Then mmc. So I'm confused why it's taking so long this time. I'm using a fertility monitor clear blue one which is helping me keep track of my cycles. I've used it for the last 2 months. This month I took an early test and it's negative but I'm not sure exactly when my AF is due, any time between now and Thursday I think.

RichmondLady1981 · 17/01/2021 22:21

@Pancakes7 I use the Clearblue too. Really helpful alongside cheap OPKs. Ive just turned 39 so that’s why I’ve opted for IVF. Have seen how the chances of conceiving seem to drop a lot after 40 so trying to get in there quickly if poss. Feel that time of slipping away. Or perhaps I’m just panicking. :).

Good luck with your journey. I’ll keep checking in on you lovely ladies. X

PumpkinEverything · 17/01/2021 23:08

So I think I got my positive OPK today 😁 it was 1.43 at 4:45 today and is now 1.21, so hoping this is it. I haven’t tracked BBT so can’t confirm ovulation with that.
If I say that the light bleed/spotting I had last week was AF that gets me to CD14 today, which would mean I’d actually had a regular cycle! The last positive OPK I had was two weeks after my surgical management, and two weeks after that bleeding started. So if this is all actually right and not a coincidence and my hormones giving me crazy OPKs, it could mean I’d actually have had two 28 day cycles, which I’d be so so pleased with considering mine were 34-45 all last year!
I actually felt as if I’d got a positive PT seeing that OPK today and it’s put me in a great mood 😂 we ‘DTD’ last night and today, should we do it tomorrow too? I can’t remember how this works now and how far after this positive that I would ovulate 🙈
My husband has no idea I’m really tracking and I just went in to see him to ask to go to bed there and was leaning against the door and I must have looked happy as he just said ‘do you want to have sex again 😳 I’m tired from earlier, I don’t know if I can’ 😂😂 bless him. He said I thought we had to do it every other day, or is this not a time we can get pregnant, and I just said I had no idea what’s going on with my cycle right now and that I just want to do it 😂😂

Bellabubble · 18/01/2021 00:13

@PumpkinEverything you have between 12-36hrs after the lh surge, mine is usually around 24hrs (I track bbt so it helps me narrow it down) I had my lh peak on the Sat at 4pm - and we dtd Sun morn (I read a study that said sperm samples collected from men between 5am and 7:30am had the highest sperm concentration and thhe highest amount of normally shaped sperm (but motility was no different) so I woke oh up early 😂 That was the only time this month as hubby came down with an really snotty gross head cold - but so far it has resulted in our bfp! DTD again wouldn’t hurt :)

@PumpkinEverything yayyyy normal cycles! As Bellabubble said it's about 12-36h after peak. I use clearblue and only test once a day so always put ov day at the day after i get my peak although in theory I suppose it could be one of 3 days I suppose, so I'm either 4,5 or 6DPO (I'll go in the middle) feels a bit less pressured that way 🙈 DTD again won't hurt but I wouldn't say it's deffo needed 😊

Pancakes7 · 18/01/2021 06:42

@RichmondLady1981 I hope it all goes well, fingers crossed for you.

I actually couldn't try the first 2 months, first month my body was recovering, second month I had to have a biopsy which threw my body off. So I guess really I've only been trying for 4 months, only 2 with the monitor. So I'm kind of thinking hopefully 6 months of using the monitor I should get there 🤞🏻

Pancakes7 · 18/01/2021 07:10

I've just seen today is blue Monday, of course my AF starts today. But at least we can try again soon 🤞🏻

Pancakes7 · 18/01/2021 07:14

@PumpkinEverything
That's great your cycle is back to normal.
DTD Every other day is best but if you can do it more it can't hurt! We normally do every other day but then do every day over my peak days. I'm the same though, I don't tell DH when I'm ovulating. He prefers not knowing so there's not too much pressure.

PumpkinEverything · 18/01/2021 09:31

Thanks @Bellabubble yes I remember reading that too on here actually! Don’t think either of us would have been able to get up before work this morning 🙈 so will maybe try for during the day (both WFH) or after work if he’s not too busy with calls! So good that your one time gave you your BFP 😁

I think you’re right @bez91 I’ve just checked my Premom app and it’s updated to say today is my ovulation day, which is the day after my peak 😊 I can’t believe how many DPO you are. I’ve been reading the posts all week and it honestly feels like it’s been weeks for me since you were only 1DPO 🤦‍♀️ Time is going so slowly!

@Pancakes7 if my cycle keeps up like this it’ll be a great positive for me so 🤞🏻 Yeah I def don’t think I want to tell him so at least one of us isn’t under pressure 😂

NatJ24 · 18/01/2021 11:22

@PumpkinEverything yay this is great news that you have your peak!!! This should definitely mean thats your cycle back to normal and in a routine! Fingers crossed for you this month then 🙊
I'm still waiting for anything to happen haha! Doing OPKs but they are currently just 'low' and still haven't had a period. I keep feeling like it might come but it hasn't yet!

PumpkinEverything · 18/01/2021 11:34

So annoying @NatJ24 it feels so hard to know! I’m 6 weeks past surgical management tomorrow, and I think I only picked up on my peak two weeks after it by accident as I was just curious. I thought it was just my crazy hormones, but it must not have been! Otherwise if I hadn’t, I’d never have thought last week was actually AF, and I’d be thinking I only got my first peak now

NatNoo96 · 18/01/2021 11:54

Oh ladies I’m feeling really low today. My bleeding got a lot worse last night so I rushed to Epu this morning. The won’t do another scan as I had one done on Wednesday and have one booked for 27th. I have been examined and they have confirmed that my cervix is closed which I think sounds good. However the bleeding is being caused by ‘ectropion’. He said it shouldn’t harm a baby but I just don’t feel pregnant anymore either and now I just have to sit and wait until the 27th.

PumpkinEverything · 18/01/2021 12:29

That sounds horrible @NatNoo96 😔 so sorry you’re going through this. Would it be an option to go for a private scan?

HappyVibes · 18/01/2021 12:40

@jec1983 your reading at your first bloods - did they indicate what that level meant, or are they using that as a baseline to check the comparison levels today? How long between the first and second bloods did you wait?

I am on progesterone yes lovely - I also read that too re: then irritating the cervix and potentially causing bleeds - this was really reassuring to read.

I rang EPU and she said it all sounds completely normal and like implantation bleeding. Said that the embryo needs to hurry itself deeper into the uterus and when it does that, it can dislodge some blood. She said the fact it tailed off to pink and then brown is indicative of that.

GP has booked me in for HCG bloods tomorrow just more for my own peace of mind.

So all feels very good now 😅xx

HappyVibes · 18/01/2021 12:46

@NatNoo96 honestly lovely, l can fully understand why you’ll feel so low. I am so sorry you’re in the position that you are. Is it possible to request HCG bloods from your GP? I can’t have a scan just yet due to only being 5wks, so I have opted for HCg bloods...in hope that they increase. Just wondered if this may give you piece of mind in the interim until 27th? Sending you lots of love, and my DMs are open if you wish xx

NatNoo96 · 18/01/2021 13:30

Thank you @HappyVibes and @PumpkinEverything. I might try ringing the drs later but they’re generally quite useless 🙄
I keep looking up ectropion and it all says it won’t harm a pregnancy but I just don’t feel I have the symptoms I had a few days ago.

NatJ24 · 18/01/2021 14:59

@PumpkinEverything well thats kind of whats happened to me. So I got a 'peak' a week ago, which was 3 weeks after the medical management. But, I werent sure if it was real or like you said, hormones all over the place following the MC. If it was a real peak/ovulation like yours then maybe my period will come in another week? But if it wasn't then who knows. I've just been carrying on doing the OPKs just incase another peak happens, which is real, if the other one wasn't haha. Its all just a waiting game isnt it.

PumpkinEverything · 18/01/2021 15:15

Oh yeah, it sounds like it could be then @NatJ24 did you DTD around that time, or are you not trying this cycle? You could well be in the TWW. I’ve been the same as you and done OPKs all last week through that bleeding as I had no idea what was going on 😂 too scared to miss something!

bez91 · 18/01/2021 16:05

@NatNoo96 that's really shitty, sorry you're going through that. That period of time where things are so so uncertain is horrid I know.

@NatJ24 how weird. Maybe it was a real peak like @PumpkinEverything soon realised!

NatJ24 · 18/01/2021 16:43

@NatNoo96 I hope you're ok. It is horrible having to wait and worry. Hopefully the time goes quickly and you can get some peace of mind.

@PumpkinEverything yeh we DTD a bit around that time but I wasn't convinced at the time that it was a real peak and was thinking it was probably my hormones being all over the place so we didn't really as much as we would have if I would have thought it was real 😂
@bez91 I know its all so up and down isnt it. Only time will tell I suppose! How is your TWW going?

jec1983 · 18/01/2021 20:23

@HappyVibes my gp likes to see the hcg increasing so it was a baseline test. The results of my next blood test showed it had risen from 13 to 47 over 72 hours. Not sure if it should have risen more than that. I’m going to speak to her this morning to find out more information. Luckily my spotting seems to have almost stopped. It was almost like I spotted when my period should be.

@NatNoo96 sorry you are going through this. Do they offer hcg testing? My gp is always giving me referrals to get two bloods done over 48 hours to check everything is progressing. If it is cervical ectropian it sounds like it doesn’t affect pregnancy. Keep us updated I have my fingers crossed for you!

@PumpkinEverything yay!! That’s great news!!! So good to hear you had a peak opk. Maybe your spotting was a super light period??? Good luck!!!

elsimo · 19/01/2021 06:15

BFN on a frer this morning at 12dpo so I am out this month 😩
I had so hoped it would happen quicker this time and we wouldn't be in for months and months of trying again.

bez91 · 19/01/2021 07:39

@NatJ24 TWW is going slowwwww 😂 I've had symptoms that mirror other BFPs for my 2 previous MCs but that doesn't mean a lot. When I was on the pill I had barely any periods so never had any AF symptoms anyway so could be that.

@elsimo sorry to hear that. You're not out yet. This is your first proper cycle after your MC right? Don't loose hope, it's still early days. Sending love
