Ok 👍🏻
I haven't tracked bbt but I defo ovulated, got a peak fertility with clear blue digital and was very sore with ovulation pain.
At 14dpo there would be a line if I was pg surely?
So annoying wish my period would just come if not pg
Xx

Happy to share how my whole experience with general anaesthetic and surgical management if you need more info @M4v3r1ck I looked through so many pages and google before mine as I originally really didn’t want that option, but I’m now confident it was the right choice for me, and I was only in the hospital 4-5 hours total before I was home 😊 hope you’re feeling okay and that you have some nice festive activities to do the next few days to make you feel good ❤️

I would have thought so @elsimo maybe try again in a few days if AF hasn’t turned up yet?

elsimo · 24/12/2020 12:09

I'm used to a bang on 28 day cycle so this is all new to me. I usually don't even have to test because my period always turns up as expected.
I just hope the mc and the surgical managment hasn't messed up my cycle xx

Bellabubble · 24/12/2020 12:28

@elsimo - I fluctuate between 27-29 day cycle, but after my first mc had a 31day cycle, and ever since then, all periods have started with spotting forst which never used to happen. I think your hormones can be affected by both pg and mc - so there can be some differences to before. I went back to my normal length cycles after my first post mc cycle - it’s just the spotting beforehand that is new.

I have heard it can for a bit @elsimo so hopefully it’s just a one off while your hormones are settling 😊

SophW194 · 24/12/2020 16:18

Hi all, merry Christmas Eve ! Talking of easy @home, does anyone know with their ovulation kits, does ovulation happen 24hours from first positive or from the peak ? Thanks xx

PumpkinEverything · 24/12/2020 16:43

I think it’s after the peak @SophW194

susiebluebell · 24/12/2020 17:57

Merry Christmas everyone, and lots of baby dust over the next few days and into 2021! I'm in my fertile window so a lot of you know what going on. 😛 Xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 24/12/2020 18:18

Merry Christmas everyone ❄☃️

PumpkinEverything · 24/12/2020 22:00

Anyone else feeling a little bit sad this evening? I didn’t really expect to feel like this, but everyone posting photos of their families with their kids in matching pyjamas or excited for Santa is getting to me a little bit when it never has before 😔😔

Bellabubble · 24/12/2020 22:16

@PumpkinEverything I am! My first pregnancy would have meant I’d have had a 3month old now..and one of my best friends was pregnant at the same time (thankfully for her she had a happy healthy 9mths) but seeing her little girl dressed up in Christmas stuff is my first real reminder of what should have been for me!

OP posts:
PumpkinEverything · 24/12/2020 22:37

Aw I’m so sorry @Bellabubble that must be so hard for you, especially because it’s your best friend and you want to be happy! 😔 I’m only a few weeks after my MC so I’d never have even had a baby with us right now, but all the posts have made me really sad, even though some of them are my own family! I didn’t expect this at all and have ended up having a little cry about it

Bellabubble · 24/12/2020 22:52

@PumpkinEverything I feel lucky so far - mostly as I have been very pragmatic and reminded really positive about things (as positive as one can be!) but I have learnt to allow yourself to feel the emotions when they come if that makes sense! I have my positive thoughts for third time lucky for oh and I though - even when I feel a bit sad x

TheDaydreamBelievers · 24/12/2020 22:53

I had a proper sob last night @PumpkinEverything - this pregnancy was meant to be the thing that made 2020 okay. Like sure it had all this awful stuff going on BUT we conceived our baby. Now that's not happening.

NI101 · 24/12/2020 22:57

@Bellabubble hey love, its only natural to wonder what it could have been. Like you, im seeing announcements/babies everywhere! And I would have been either 6months or 3months at this point. (Unfortunately ive had two losses). I try to put a smiley happy face on for my close family and friends who have babies as I really am happy for them, but i must admit it does hurt. I can only suggest that you focus on all the blessings you do have and look forward to what the future holds. When it’s meant to be, it will be.

@elsimo - very similar situation to you. Very strict/timely cycle in the past. Im now 16DPO according to my app still BFN on PT but im so convinced that I am pg. I’m only one day late at the moment, but have no signs of AF (usually i breakout/cramps in advance) so still hopeful.. will try and hold out to do another test closer to NY.

Bellabubble · 24/12/2020 23:03

@NI101 ahhh I’m the same - also on 2 mc - first was a mmc that started naturally, the 2nd an anembryonic! I have taken comfort in the fact that we conceived twice in under a year - so I’m just hoping that we get a sticky bean third time round 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Sending positive thoughts for your rainbow baby in 2021 too!! x

PumpkinEverything · 24/12/2020 23:48

@Bellabubble I’ve been doing the same thing, which is not something I normally do with anything else. When I feel like I’m going to cry I just let myself. We told the last people about our MC a few days ago that we wanted to know, as it felt like it was hanging over me, and I think it’s brought up some feelings in my husband the last few days as he’s been very quiet and has just had a few tears of his own tonight.

@TheDaydreamBelievers I’m so sad for you too 😔 I feel the exact same way. It was going to be a fantastic ending to this year.

As crazy as it sounds, I’m so glad I’m not alone in this sadness and others are feeling it too 😔😔 no one else in real life understands it properly

Garman · 25/12/2020 09:00

Hope everyone is doing okay today and has a lovely Christmas. I got an unexpected great present last night, not the one you'd think! My period came, first one since miscarriage in early December, I only stopped bleeding from that last week, never been happy to restart again so soon 😂 It's a few days earlier than I'd expect from my app for my normal cycle but that means that my cycle is recovering and it also hopefully means I'll avoid d&c for slightly thick endometrial lining in January. Delighted to have this happen last night/today rather than still waiting and hoping it would come normally next week.

Hugs and best wishes for 2021 to everyone ❤️

chloedancer897 · 25/12/2020 11:16

Marking my place. Thank you x

susiebluebell · 25/12/2020 13:18

@Garman that's great news! I bet AF has never been so welcome!

I am having the same ups and downs as many others. I "should" have been 5 months pregnant by now.... My sis in law is due any day... Found out my cousin is expecting. But for today and tomorrow I'm putting my big girl pants on and having fun and not feeling sorry for myself. When I get home I can do what I like. Hope you all have a good day xx Merry Christmas!

Hopefulmummie · 26/12/2020 00:39

Happy Christmas everyone. I've found the last few days a bit tough as I would have been nearing 12 weeks and would have had my scan next week. I've seen so many people announcing pregnancies it's just hard to know that it could have been me.. but I'm hopeful that the new year brings good news x

bez91 · 26/12/2020 07:10

Hope everyone is ok and had a good Christmas Day? I felt a little down at a point yesterday as would have been announcing to everyone but I'm glad we hosted as it meant I cooked and had plenty to drink whilst doing so for the first time one in a long time so kept myself busy.

How long did it take everyone to get a period after they had their negative pregnancy test/had surgical management for miscarriage? I got my negative PT on Wednesday (3 weeks post procedure). Haven't been using OPKs as this month we are just not preventing not trying but I suppose I am subconsciously trying to second guess when I might ovulate 🙈

PumpkinEverything · 26/12/2020 14:13

Hope everyone had an okay (if it wasn’t as Merry as it could have been) Christmas! Mine surprisingly was better than I thought considering everything and also the lockdown. I was lucky to be allowed to spend it with my family too. I’m glad I had my big cry on Christmas Eve as I think it helped get it all out before yesterday.

I’ve been wondering the same @bez91 I’ve noticed a few people got theirs 4 weeks exactly, or right on their normal schedule. I’ve done a few sporadic OPKs out of curiosity and they’ve all been coming back as positive, with one as a peak, but I feel like I can’t rely on them as I haven’t had my negative PT yet so expect it’s picking up on that. Haven’t even managed to DTD at all yet because of my on/off brown bleeding/spotting that sometimes seems a bit too heavy for me to want to do anything. Fingers crossed for trying today though 😂🤞🏻 Think I’m like you and would like to not prevent it, but also feel I’m also trying to guess when I would ovulate 🙈

SugarPlumRoar · 26/12/2020 14:57

Hi all can I join? I had my first mc start of October, it took until mid Nov for my Hcg to return to 0 and my period turned up nearly 2 weeks later on 1st December, we decided not to ttc again in Dec as I just didn't feel ready yet however my period has showed up yesterday, a week early whereas before the mc I was like clockwork, it's heavy and painful and so different to how I was previously.

We've decided to ttc again this month but I'm a bit concerned that my cycles may be a bit too short now and wondering if that might affect things.

I'll start tracking using opks this month to see but feel really nervous about the whole thing after the mc

bez91 · 26/12/2020 15:37

@PumpkinEverything I've been very tempted but that's why I've avoided OPKs, plus DH would go mad if he knew I'd been using them as we agreed to NTNP this month 🙈 fingers crossed for you today 😉

@SugarPlumRoar welcome! Your body might just be returning to normal following the MC so I wouldn't worry just yet about a short cycle. I think that's just normal to feel nervous. I've had 2 MCs since July and it's not so much the TTC as that's the enjoyable part 🙈 but the fact I know I'll be an absolute wreck if I get a positive PT up until any 12 week scan
