@Bellabubble aw thanks so much for your message - left me feeling hopeful! I’m sending my hubby back to Holland Barrett to get the 200mg because today I bought the 100mg. I’m currently starting AF so I guess once my hubby gets the 200mg I can start taking it already right? And on preseed - I’m so scared because we don’t really use any lubricants ever and I’ve read that couples use this instead of normal lubricants as those harm sperm mobility but I haven’t read that preseed actually helps conception? Apologies I’m just so confused haha xx

Firevie · 09/01/2021 19:46

@RichmondLady1981 aw thanks so much for your message. I did miss you:) hope the remote learning worked ok this week! Thanks so much for all the info. I’m 37 so guess I should get on with the coq10. I fell pregnant last year in may at 36.5 so I’m hoping I’m okay but we just don’t want to wait so are a timely TTC especially as we don’t have any kids yet. I might look up Mrs Pisal and get an appointment in to get the tests done just to put my mind at ease. But as you say coq10 can only help so I better jump on that bandwagon. Thanks again xxx

RichmondLady1981 · 09/01/2021 19:55

@M4v3r1ck I did lots of research on when ladies actually ovulate after positive OPK. Once you detect LH rising you need test 2-3 times per day. The research suggests on average ovulation occurs

24-48 hours after initial surge.
12-24 hours after PEAK -your highest reading.

Hence the need to test regularly so you can pinpoint your peak. PreMom has a good feature to test strength of LH

@Hanbanxx my period came 28/29 days after my op. And my first period was weird. Sludgy. Sorry no other way of describing it! It was quite light.

@PumpkinEverything I had a faint positive until just 5 days before my period came.

@bubblybrit I’m the same about needing to chat. I’ve spoken about what happened to so many people and I can’t believe how man people have admitted they’ve been through the same. I can’t believe how many. I think men can move on as they don’t have the cocktail of hormones that goes with it. I’m sure this is your fellas way of trying to deal with it in his own way.

Bellabubble · 09/01/2021 20:02

@Firevie you can start taking the coQ10 as soon as you get it yeh :) The preseed is just that it is sprem friendly - it doesn’t actually help conception. It’s more because some people might need a helping hand, as trying to get in the mood whilst also tracking fertility and timing it right and desperately wanting a baby etc can kill some of the fhn/sexy vibes lol. Some people like to use the sperm meets egg plan (basically dtd every other day from about cd8, then 3 days in a row around ovulation or something, then missing a day then another dtd) Ironically, the 2 times I fell pregnant, we only dtd once that cycle. Obviously they didn’t end the way I wiuld have hoped - but hopefully we get lucky third time 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@RichmondLady1981 I feel you with the remote learning - and trying to help parents help their children whilst also teaching the children that are in school - my brain was definitely not working by the end of the day yesterday!!

Huge congratulations @familybythesea @KM89

@Runnergirl1 how are you? How are you feeling? Any scan pics? 😁

@HappyVibes amazing progression pics. So happy for you.

Mammaofgirls · 09/01/2021 20:49

Hi - I’m new here ! :)

Wondering if anyone can help or experienced similar.. I started miscarrying on 16th dec at exactly 9 weeks, the passing of tissue happened over 5 days. Anyway have had sex a few times since then, my scan was cancelled 2 weeks later due to my husband and myself getting covid.
So I have my scan this coming weds (13th)
I had taken a couple of pregnancy tests in between that were showing still pregnant , I had a very faint positive about 6 days ago.
Anyway, have been tracking ovulation as still no period and have had solid smiley faces for about 10 days now , but the actual lines on the actual stick have been so dark! So decided to take a pregnancy test and the line was a lot darker again today!!!! How will I know if this is a new pregnancy or not ? I take it when I have my scan they would be unable to see anything anyway as if I was pregnant again it would be too early to see ?
I’m so confused as I never saw a negative pregnancy test since my miscarriage but my line today was a very clear positive :(
Thank you x

Hey everyone, new to this thread! I had a D and C at 13 weeks after an MMC. Baby was only measuring 8 weeks unfortunately. I am now 3.5 weeks post surgery and currently waiting for AF.

I wondered if anyone else kept having a feeling it was on its way? I have been having days of false alarms! I am getting small amounts of spotting, sometimes old blood sometimes a bit pinker in colour. I stopped bleeding from surgery a while ago so wondering is this signs of AF or something else? Been having the odd aches and pains in my stomach too but nothing that is worrying me.

Feel a bit like my body is all over the place so feel like having my time of the month will put me a bit more back to normal and ready to try again. Haven't even bothered to try and guess if I've ovulated or not!

susiebluebell · 09/01/2021 21:04

@KES22

Hi, I had a missed miscarriage back in August with my first pregnancy. Had 8 weeks with no period but then have had 3 normal periods (Oct, Nov,Dec). I did ovulation tests through December but didn’t detect any LV surge over 10 days of taking tests. I am now 3 days late but I did a test today which was negative. I’m worrying that I’ve stopped ovulating...does anyone have any experience ? TIA
Hi @KES22 I'm gobsmacked as your journey mirrors mine down to almost every detail. I'm so sorry that you've had a mc! I'm over a day late and while I did see a rise in LH on my OPKs, I didn't see the peak (had a busy few days) and now I'm tying myself in knots about when I might have actually ovulated, did l even ovulate this month, etc.

It's a wait and see game unfortunately! Hope you can get some peace of mind x

susiebluebell · 09/01/2021 21:05

Hello @Mammaofgirls and @ELMcg welcome! Xx

KES22 · 09/01/2021 21:09

Thanks for sharing..it’s so hard isn’t it, and I’m an especially impatient person! Keeping everything crossed for some food news for us both xx

M4v3r1ck · 09/01/2021 21:12

@Firevie CoQ10 buddies indeed! I'm 36 and TTC#1 too, so I feel you re: time etc! 😘 Even though the midwife etc all told me that my age is not an issue!

@RichmondLady1981 can you transfer your brain to me, please!!! 😃 My brain is just terrible with any sort of gynae stuff! 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Bellabubble fab, thanks! Will check both out! 😃

@KES22 what OPKs were you using? I know they can be a bit temperamental! Even if you've not found your peak, you can still be (and most likely are) ovulating!

@Mammaofgirls I'm sorry, I can't advise, but assume you've not had AF since your MC either?

@ELMcg sadly there's a few of us in a similar situation - waiting for AF to come and hoping this post-MC bleeding finally stops (when I think it's going away, it seems to come back)! I know that it can be at least 4-6 weeks post MC for bleeding to stop and AF to come after! Really frustrating!

Mammaofgirls · 09/01/2021 21:15

I’m sorry, I’m not good with the abbreviations , is AF a period? 😩 if so, then no I haven’t ! It’s been 3.5 weeks since my miscarriage started ... thanks for your reply anyway. Xx

@M4v3r1ck I used the CB digital tests but only got circles, no smiley faces. Did it once a day first thing on a morning...maybe I will need to try more often next time...once AF arrives that is x

RichmondLady1981 · 09/01/2021 21:50

@Firevie co-Q10 is just a supplement- it’s used so much in the world of fertility but there’s little research. All the specialists say to use it as ‘it won’t hurt’ but there’s no hard evidence. I would 100% just go and see someone just for peace of mind. A lot of the positive stories I read are when people aren’t stressed about TTC (seems impossible right!?)

Where are you in your cycle now? We both went through MC at around the same time. Christmas was tough- I totally feel you. Lots of love your way 💕

RichmondLady1981 · 09/01/2021 21:51

@Bellabubble and @susiebluebell how are you both lovely ladies? Sorry feel out of the loop. What’s been happening? Xxx

RS2609 · 09/01/2021 22:05

I’m either 9 or 10 DPO tomorrow I think and debating whether or not to test. Part of me thinks I should wait but I’m so inpatient! Sore breasts but that could also just be PMS. When did those of you with BFP’s test?

susiebluebell · 09/01/2021 22:56

@RichmondLady1981 Thanks for asking after me 💕 I've been mood swinging like crazy and just feeling fed up today. As I said earlier, I'm overdue AF and that's making me think of last month when the cycle just dragged on forever. Spent the day cooking and watching TV and did some fertility yoga tonight. How are you? Xx

RichmondLady1981 · 09/01/2021 23:14

@susiebluebell how far overdue? Sooo flipping annoying. A friend of mine went through a few cycles like that. Her gynaecologist invited her in to get her bloods checked. They could see from lab results what was going on from hormone results. Would that be worth investigating? Knowledge is power after all?

Oooh tell me what you’re cooking! I need some inspiration. Made a yummy goulash last week, we usually ski at this time of year and this dish reminds us of skiing in Austria. Not quite the same though 😆

Bellabubble · 09/01/2021 23:56

@RichmondLady1981 I’m the same!! I haven’t been on mumsnet this week and I feel like I have missed so much!! I tried to read and catch up and got lost lol!! I’m same old same old - 7dpo, but have given up on symptom spotting these days (after the last time when I symptom spotted EVERY cycle and got af anyways, then got no symptoms on the 8th cycle and ended up with the bfp 😂) but it is liberating in that I am less obsessive!! I’m currently looking into fertility places near me - I’m feeling positive about conceiving - but I’m already anxious about not having a third sticky bean! How are you doing? xx

OP posts:
RichmondLady1981 · 10/01/2021 07:04

@Bellabubble I know what you mean about symptom spotting. I’ve been so disappointed in past cycles that I’ve also stopped. I’m 11DPO and due tomorrow or Tuesday. I’m not going to test. I’m just going to wait for bitch bag (AF) to arrive. This is my last natural cycle of trying before I proceed to IVF. So in that way at least when she comes I’ll feel like I’m being proactive if that makes sense.

bubblybrit · 10/01/2021 08:10

Thank you @RichmondLady1981. I suspect you are right. Guess I was hoping for a little bit more in terms of emotion but I need to accept that everyone deals with things differently.

Mustkeepgoing2 · 10/01/2021 10:00

@RichmondLady1981 Welcome back and good luck tomorrow. I hope she doesn’t arrive.

I have been told I have a low AMH too but I just don’t really understand it. Do you know what is considered to be low and what is considered very low.

Thanks in advance xxx

Firevie · 10/01/2021 10:42

@RichmondLady1981 thanks hun! I’m now on day 2 of AF! I just want to believe that I will conceive naturally again just like we did last May but you’re right there’s no harm putting the wheels in motion. At least I will feel I haven’t waited too long and then 3 years go by. My doctors have also said that my age isn’t an issue as 37 is okay. They said they’d be rushing me to do testes etc if I was over 40 but still we can get the tests done and then have that peace of mind. I have read a lot of stories of people who start booking in tests etc and then they get pregnant :) which is obv amazing. Will start with the coq10 supplement as you say it can’t hurt xxx

Firevie · 10/01/2021 10:42

@RichmondLady1981 forgot to mention fingers crossed for you that AF doesn’t show up!!!!
